Chapter. 4- Gathering Energy

Well there are birds on the tree, they did get startled by the shout of the Boy...

"Cough...Cough.... So what was I saying earlier" said the boy with an embarrassed expression all over his face...

As he was in the dense Jungle the shout didn't attract too much attention but it did attracted some beasts near there,

A monkey like creature attracted by the loud noise and the birds sudden movements... 

It jumped from trees to trees to find the location from which the loud noise is originated from..

Soon the Boy finds his senses are alerting him of the impending danger.

He suddenly ready's himself to for any incoming Danger...

He listen to his surroundings, and starts to prepare for his next move towards any possible direction...

His ears twitched suddenly as he suddenly launched the thorn towards his left side...

As he made the contact he feels that the Thorn's pointy has pierced through something, and as the beast struggling, he have to tighten his grip on the thorn,

The boy looked towards the animal, that looked like a ferocious monkey with a cat like body.

The thorn have pierced right in the middle of its chest and it looked agonizing as it is struggling to back down but couldn't as it was in mid air...

Creatures red eyes are so much ferocious and alarming, the boy also have a little fear in his eyes, if he couldn't find his target in his first try then it would have been very troublesome, as it looked very agile and fast as well,

But he was also thinking is the attack would have been from a distance like the Rat he killed earlier, he didn't think he could kill it that easily.

After sometime the moments of the creature stopped, again the boy feels that he have gain little bit of energy and start to feel little refreshed after the manual work he has done.

[Ding.... It is good that you have hunted a strong creature as it contain more energy the the rat you have killed earlier]

[Ding...If you can hunt few more creatures, it would be enough for you to strengthen your body and I can also have more energy to have my ability to communicate with you more continently]

"It is not as simple as it seem to be, these monsters are way too ferocious but i don't know why i don't get any nausea or don't have any urge to vomit as I killed for the first time today" said the boy as he asked the system.

[Ding....you also have the memories or should I sat that you are the previous life monster hunter with memories, so you don't feel any of those kind of feelings]

[Ding.... You don't need to belittle yourself as I can see that the monster beast Hunter's memories not only have made you more alert and battel ready but also made your spirit very strong]

[Ding.... It is very difficult to cultivate spirit and you don't really need to cultivate as the system grows stronger your Soul and Spirit would Strengthen over time]

[Ding.... Monster Beast Hunter's Memories also gives you experience and unique insight on how to survive in dangerous situation and have made you a hunter as well]

[Ding.... You just need to strengthen your body and cultivate well and have the coordination of spirit and body]

[Ding.... You would become a unique existence on your own but you also need to understand that strength is the most important thing in any world]

The Boy removes the body and tied it to his waist with a makeshift rope.

"Hmm...I do understand what you are trying to tell me" Said as he starts to look for a water source and also a cave as his resting place as well.

The grove have several streams running here and there but he thinks that a higher place would be more secure and have more fresh water then the small streams.

He found a stream that have a powerful flow and he goes along with if to find its origin on a higher ground.

He came across some small beasts and killed them along the was, as the game increased so he could only do the work and start to clean the animals in the stream and only took the important parts such as claws and nails, some meat and some unique features as some of the animals are quite exquisite.

[Ding.... you should take the skin and the gem that is embedded in their head as well, if there is any unique animals that have shiny part in their body, such as beak, feathers, tail etc]

Some Creatures have their feathers shiny, some have their beaks in different colors, some have their tail as long as four-five feet long, that could be used as a weapon, if used properly.

The boy is loaded with a lot of materials and meat as well.

After searching for a while he found a creek that have fresh water and looked clean enough, he also settled in the cave near that creek, cave is wide enough to accommodate three or four people, approximately seven meter broad and ten meter in depth, also about three meter high.

As the boy settled near the creek that have water and in the cave there is spacious for him to cook as well, there are no ingredients so he decide to have a barbeque and boil some meat as well with the berries and fruits he have collected so far.

 [Ding....The system have enough stored energy to start its most basic features]

[Ding.... It is advisable that you cook all the meat and use it to make a break through in the cultivation as well]

[Ding.... You have killed enough to reach the most basic realm in the Cultivation as well]

As the is getting ready to have a hearty meal but he didn't cook all the meat he have gathered so far....After he has processed what the system told him, he again start to cook remaining meat as well.

"So you can start the basic functions, but you still haven't told me that what is the basic features you are talking about, and why don't you just start the features already instead of informing me" asked the boy as he gets ready to work again.

[Ding.... As the system going to have a level upgrade if put bluntly it would also release large amount of spirit and qi(energy) to help the host in his cultivation]

[Ding.... But it also required for the host to eat large amount of meat during his body cultivation]

[Ding.... The most basic features are -]

[Ding.... 1. To have the system, its own voice (Compulsory)]

[Ding.... 2. To have basic status for the Host]

[Ding.... 3. To have small sub space about 10 X 10 meters]

[Ding.... 4. To have a early warning(alert) features with its own basic map]

[Ding.... 5. To have most basic teleport ability]

[Ding.... 6. To have most basic appraisal ability]

[Ding.... You can choose any four of the features but as you can see that number one is the compulsory, so you can choose only three from the remaining five]

"System Please explain these features briefly, so that I could get a better opinion on features" said the boy as he asked for an explanation...

[Ding... First if to have the system its own voice as you could not see the dialog box in several scenarios like in battles or in your sleep etc]

[Ding.... To show the host his more in-depth knowledge about his body, spirit, bloodline etc]

[Ding.... Sub-space is itself explainable as you can put non living things into it]

[Ding.... To literally have a basic map but it only shows 10 meters around the host and only show the living creatures]

[Ding.... Basic teleport is that you can jump in the subspace and come in the desired direction around you about 10 meters]

[Ding.... To have an appraisal could also be handy in any field, it could appraise the most basic things and living beings as well]

"Ok I get it, though I would like to take all the options but it would be asking too much, hmm I have 3 options that I could choos" mused the boy over the options...

After thinking for a while he said, "Well right now I am in the jungle so map function could be particularly useful and teleport ability could also increase my chances to Survive in the jungle"

"Appraisal and sub space is also important, what should I choose..." Said the boy to no one in particular...

"I think I don't need the status function as of right now but after some time it would be useful"

"Well I have choosen...appraisal is important to survive than sub space so that is one"

"Teleport ability and map function are second and third" said the boy in intervals after thinking over and over again...

[Ding.... Ok food is almost cooked get ready to seal the entrance of the cave and make your own rudimentary preperatios]

[Ding.... We can start as soon as you finish your preparations]

As the boy handled everything and start to eat his hard earned meal...a small amount of qi energy runs through his veins...
