Rebirth

I opened my eyes or should I say eye and looked at the human that had collapsed before me. After scanning his soul I destroyed it mercilessly and with no emotion, I have seen these sequences of events time after time and my mind grew dull to the guilt of taking life.

But now I've taken 1,978,120 souls and my duties as overseer of hell are done and now I can be reborn. As I said those words my new body sunk through the ground and into the abyss.
