Cultivating in My Hero Academia

So that's it? No special effect? Just plain death and getting my consciousness back in some weird-looking white room? I guess that is normal. Now that I think about it, what did I expected to happen?

Well, back to the topic, it seems like I am dead.

Please don't misunderstand. It wasn't that surprising for me to die since I was sick since my childhood.

My life wasn't that bad, even if I only turned 17 last week. While the previous year of my life, I only fought against my disease. It was a bit relieving to rest finally.

I had a normal childhood with loving parents and a cute little sister.

That is the only thing I regret.

I was leaving those three back on earth while I am helplessly dying. They never gave up on me and hoped for a wonder, but alas, wonders are just fiction. I hope they won't be that sad about my death. They knew that my life in the last year was just painful to live.

I hope they can be happy, even without me in their lives.

I should be happy too, but why is it so saddening when I think about it?

Living was agonizing in my last year. My life wasn't bad, but not the best either. I knew that I would die at a young age, so I didn't search for friends or relationships. Of course, there were some people that I could call friends, but it wasn't that many.

Most of my time, I watched anime or read novels to pass my time. I loved all kinds of genres. In my last year of life, I often read cultivation novels. Yeah, I know they are repeating and annoying sometimes, but when you read them for the first time, it's refreshing. It gives you a different feeling than other novels.

Cultivating was just fascinating. You could train to live as long as you want, never get sick, and if you don't provoke everyone you walk by, you could probably even cultivate until godhood. In contrast, I would hide to cultivate to get stronger before coming to a world like that. It is nonsense that some characters get to a strong, eats the weak world, and start to provoke everyone for the most minor things.

After thinking about something like that, I finally started to look around the room that I got to. It was just a bright room that would make anyone blind if they stared too long at it. There were just two chairs with a table in the mid of this room.

Honestly, it is just weird-looking.

For the thing, I now have to do?

Obviously, I read enough novels in the past to know that I have to wait for a god or something similar so he can reincarnate me in a new world with some wishes.

But anyway, is this death? It would be pretty scary if I have to stay here for the rest of my existence while I don't even know how long that would be. Boredom is an understatement if that is the case.

As I thought about that, there was some blinding light in the already blinding room. Yeah, it wasn't enjoyable. But anyway, what happens next would be in some novels, the soul meets God scene. I hope the God is a friendly one.

While the light fades, I opened my eyes slowly. Now that I think about it, why do I still have my body? It's transparent but still my old body. I was a handsome-looking teen. Well, that's not important anymore. Why should I describe myself if my looks will most likely change or disappear to nothingness?

My eyes opened entirely after some time, and I could see an old person with white hair and a long white beard. Yeah, the standard God in every fictional story.

"Well, that's rude to think. Even if nowadays everyone thinks about the same when they see me. I wonder why?" said God with a smile on his face.

"That's not so surprising. In most stories, God would be displayed in the appearance of an old man with white hair and beard. On that topic, in some religions, there would have other standard looks. But you still look good." I said, also with a smile on my face.

I wouldn't want to offend the God that will decide what happens to me now.

"Well, I didn't introduce myself. I am sorry. I am Iss, the God of reincarnation."

The words of God shocked me a bit. Reincarnation huh. Most likely the ordinary reincarnation with the loss of my memories and so on. Now that I think about it, I also didn't introduce myself.

"I am sorry that I didn't introduce myself first. I am Noah Light." I said with a slight bow.

I didn't believe in all that, but it was okay for my parents. They didn't force me to believe, and I also didn't say anything about their beliefs. In some ways, religion could even be helpful for some people. It could help you in tough and sad times. If you ignore the fanatics, it's not a bad thing.

"Nothing to worry about. It's not our first meeting. Considering that I reincarnate all the humans on your planet. You would not know, but that's okay." said Iss, the God of reincarnation.

Well, that's interesting, so everyone on earth would reincarnate?

"No, if the human does bad things in one of their lives, the soul would perish. Of course, there are some rare cases where the soul will print with a specific personality, but they are rare." answered God to my thoughts.

I forgot he could read my thoughts. That is pretty dangerous for some people. For me, it's not that bothering. In the first place, why should I hide something from a god?

"After many reincarnations, the most souls will perish someday. Now that we are talking about this. Let's come to the reason why you are here."

"Doesn't any human that dies comes here?" I asked in confusion.

"You never lived one life over the age of eighteen. You already got reincarnated way over a billion times, but never even once reached over eighteen. In fact, you never created your own family either."

That surprised me a bit. I am the oldest soul and never reached over the age of eighteen? And also never created my own family? Now that made me a bit sad. Am I cursed or what?

"I already checked that. But no, you are not cursed. Just unbelievable unlucky."

Unlucky huh.

"But don't worry. I will guarantee your next life to be happy. I asked some other gods, and they all helped with this surprise." said the God smiling.

"So we created this only for you. You will go to another world. That means I will not see you for a long time. Who knows, maybe someday we can talk again with each other. That would be nice." said the God smiling.

Another world? Like in the Novels I read about? Is something like this possible? That's like a dream comes true. Hopefully, I can keep my memory's I am a bit scared to lose them all.

"Don't worry. You can keep the memories of your previous life. I saw all the memories of you're last life and chose the perfect world for you. It's like in the novels you read about. You will get some wishes to start your life."

That's like winning in the lottery. What should I wish for, and how many wishes do I have? I want to be one of the overpowered characters. I don't understand the people who come to another world, and one day later, they are battle maniacs who want to fight until death. And once they are overpowered after thousands of chapters, they will go full depressed because there aren't any worthy enemies anymore. Completely idiotic.

"Oh. Sorry I expressed that wrongly. We decided to set your wishes years ago because powers like that are completely out of range for one God to make in seconds. But don't worry, we looked into the future and knew what you wanted to wish for."

That makes sense. Why would a character from some novel get more powerful than a god that created the gift they received in literally seconds. But I hope they didn't have to pay something for my selfish wishes.

"Don't worry. Everyone was participating on their free will. The only price was some years of work."

Noah didn't know that the "some years" that Iss talked about were way more than a million years. That doesn't mean that this isn't a lot of time for them. It's just that God's all liked Noah and wanted to make him a gift for his long-time kindness. Every one of them hopes that Noah can live a happy life for once.

"So now let's come to the gifts you will receive from us," said God with a proud smile and posture.

They must be pretty impressive gifts for triggering such a proud smile. I chuckled secretly in my head. Well, he knew what I was thinking about but didn't bother and just started talking about the gifts.
