'A-another chance at life…' Liam thought, his eyes widening in disbelief. He had already considered his life to be over, hoping only to find peace and rest in the afterlife.
Even though she claimed she could free him from his torment, he never expected it to be by giving him a new life.
But the last part of her words suddenly echoed in his mind, sending chills down his spine.
'What could she want in return?' He wondered, his gaze subconsciously drifting back to the beautiful woman before him.
He gulped, feeling himself slipping into a trance at the sight of her perfect face and the deep cleavage on her chest.
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he quickly regained his composure, reluctantly tearing his gaze away from her alluring figure.
'W-what do you want me to do?' He asked, staring into her eyes.
The woman's lips curled into a smile, and her eyes flashed with a red glint. How impressive. Although I'm holding back my charm, he's still able to maintain his composure, she thought, her tail wagging in excitement.
"Aren't you curious… about why exactly you were thrown into that void?" she suddenly asked, causing Liam's eyes to widen in surprise.
"Why you were registered as an 'error soul'?" She continued, gently stroking Liam's body.
Liam shuddered, feeling strangely comforted under her embrace.
'An error soul…' He mumbled inwardly, recalling the giant robot he had encountered just before being flung away.
'What does it mean?' He asked, turning back to the beautiful red-skinned woman before him.
"A soul that was never supposed to exist. That's what's called an error soul," She said, her lips curling into a light smile. "You were never supposed to die; that cute girl was."
'Cute girl… Sophie?' Liam thought, a blurry image of a beautiful girl appearing in his mind.
"But instead of letting her die, you somehow got in the way… dying instead," she continued, her brows furrowing slightly.
'W-what… is that really the reason?' Liam asked, his eyes widening in shock.
He had always believed he was considered an 'error soul' due to a sin he committed in his life, casting his soul into damnation. But to think that he was only labeled an error because he died saving his girlfriend's life!
Still, it felt strange to him that he was condemned to all that suffering just for saving someone.
Weren't souls supposed to be rewarded for such an act… rather than thrown into an endless loop?
"Yes. You didn't really commit a 'sin'; you just did something you were never supposed to do," The woman replied, flashing a warm smile at him.
'So… what now? How exactly are you going to free me?' he asked, his face twisting into a frown.
"Your soul will be transmigrated into a new world, one very different from the one you knew before."
'A new world…?' Liam mumbled, his brows creasing in confusion. 'And what is it you want me to do?'
While the thought of escaping his torment sounded pleasing, he was also curious about what exactly this woman planned for him. He still didn't know who she was. It felt like she knew everything about him, while he knew nothing about her—not even her name.
"You'll find out soon enough," the woman muttered, letting out a low sigh.
'Wh—' Before Liam could finish his thought, a strong force suddenly pulled his body backward, and in the next second, he vanished in a dim twinkle.
However, just before his soul disappeared, a name softly echoed in his mind: 'Lilith.'
'That name… why does it sound so familiar?' He wondered as the figure of the beautiful red-skinned woman vanished from his sight, replaced by a bright white light.

"Ugh…" Liam groaned, feeling the bright rays of sunlight seep into his eyes.
He subconsciously closed them shut, placing a hand in front of his face to block the annoying light.
'It's so bright… how annoying.' He thought, gnashing his teeth in frustration.
'Wait… the sun… I can feel the sun!' He quickly realised, his body trembling in disbelief.
Resisting against the piercing rays of sunlight, he slowly opened his eyes, staring in shock at the pair of hands before him.
'I have hands…' He mumbled inwardly, slowly clenching his fists and then releasing them.
The pleasant smell of grass and flowers wafted into his nose, causing him to exhale.
'It's not a dream.' He thought, his eyes widening in excitement. He was standing in a large open field, filled with neatly trimmed grass and beautiful flowers.
"Start!!" Suddenly, a loud voice echoed from the side, breaking him out of his thoughts. He snapped his head up, curious to find the source of the voice.
However, before he could even react, a large black sole was barreling toward him at rapid speed.
"What—" he muttered, his eyes widening in shock.
Thwack!
The foot slammed into his torso in the blink of an eye, leaving him no time to react.
"Argh!" Liam grunted, his body hurtling through the air like a broken rag doll.
He crashed repeatedly onto the ground, blood spraying from his lips in a crimson arc.
After a few seconds, he finally came to a halt at the far end of the field, his legs turned up above his torso.
"What… ugh!" he grunted, feeling a stabbing pain rapidly spread from the point of impact to the rest of his torso.
Liam gritted his teeth in agony, staring at the beautiful sky above him.
He wanted to get up or at least move, but his whole body was paralyzed, leaving him helpless against the pain.
"Argh!!" He suddenly cried out, tightly gripping the grass around him.
Numerous images flashed in his mind, replaying over and over like a movie. The overwhelming flood of memories felt like it was tearing him apart, and a painful headache racked through his skull.
'Stop… make it stop… arghh!' he screamed inwardly, his body convulsing uncontrollably on the ground.
"Liam…"
"Liam…"
He heard a soft, yet familiar voice calling his name, but it was quickly drowned out by the throbbing headache.

A couple of strange texts flashed across his vision, but he wasn't able to focus on them, and his sight soon became swallowed by darkness.
