Chapter 4: Divine Intervention

After several training, Lucca was finally successful in learning his Illusion-attribute magic.

Huh.. hard work paid off, isn't it?

The only spell that he could use was 『Stealth』, an ability to make the caster disappeared from sight, and『Seduction』which is the common spell of Illusion-attribute magic.

With this progression, Lucca wanted to show his mother about what he had learned but he did not have the opportunity to do it.

Once in a week, his mother started to take him outside near the river banks.

He remembered the first day when Chosdarea opened the boulder that protected their cave. The sunlight shines and warms him gently. With blurry vision, he tried to see the scenery near their cave.

The reason was she had to teach him about Tetra more and also they lacking food in their cave.

This world ... Tetra .. is full of nature.

The outside of their cave there was a river.

The sunlight hit the ground after piercing the dense of the forest. There lies celestial dome where the clouds and the soaring trees were groups up together.

"How's it, honey? Can you feel the fresh air?"

Without any doubts, Lucca took a deep breath.

Is it heaven? or just an Illusion?

Lucca saw his reflection on the water while his mother laid down some trap to catch animals. She also called their snakes to spot any edible things nearby.

Most of the food that she gathered such as fruits and animals' meat was for his son. Sometimes she smashed it to smooth the texture.

Up to now, Chosdarea had raised his son without any help from anyone else. She did everything by herself.

In fact, Lucca had not seen his father, it seemed that they lived far away from civilization perhaps to avoid prejudice. In that world, Tetra, dominant race usually looked down to the minorities.

He assumed that maybe his father was dead already.

Normally, Chosdarea had a choice to abandon Lucca alone and then she would live a life without any responsibility. As the times went by she would also be able to live happily like there was nothing happened.

In the other side, she chose to live with her only son in the cave. It was not only about her life, it was for their family. She had to do this because she loved her husband and also her son.

With a simple happiness, Lucca continued his difficult life.

He trained himself every time he woke up. It was a lovely activity. Little Lucca loved to wander around the cave, played with his mother and sometimes he hunt down a rabbit with his mothers' snake.

Calm and steady, he moved as quietly as a snake while he was using his 『Stealth』 and then ...

Whooosh~

Lucca jumped swiftly to a rabbit and grabbed it tightly.

As a result, he was able to use the spells in front of Chosdarea.

"Look how amazing my son, even though you are just a little kid but you are able to cast some spells. Come here genius!"

She gave him a warm hug like he never had in his previous life.

After his tiring days, an announcement was echoing on his head.

「You have acquired the Illusion-Attribute Magic Skill Level 2 ! 」

「You have acquired Call of The Beast」
