Creating My Own Army (on hold)

[Current World: Naruto] This story takes place in an alternate universe (AU) of Earth, where kingdoms still exist. The main character (MC) is the youngest war general due to a conflict with a more powerful kingdom. After dying in battle, the MC is offered a unique opportunity: a job that involves fighting monsters and armies. This position comes with two options—if they accept, they will gain power by going through trials; otherwise, they can choose to ascend to heaven or be reincarnated into their original world once again 1. Please note, this is not a harem story. I attempted to create one in my first fanfiction but struggled to find a plausible way to introduce such dynamics. Additionally, after reading numerous harem stories, while I don’t dislike the concept itself, the justifications provided in those narratives often felt contrived and unconvincing—for example, "He’s so strong, I need sisters," or "He’s the last of his clan, so he needs multiple wives." These reasons simply didn't resonate with me. Therefore, if romance becomes part of this story, it will feature a single pairing rather than a harem setup. Disclaimer: I do not own the Naruto world or any of its characters. My story only includes an original character (OC). Furthermore, I do not claim ownership of the cover picture used for this work. If the rightful owner wishes for it to be removed, please contact me.

Emergency job(Fixed)

[Inside the Hokage Office]

[Ajamu POV]

'What just happened? Why did Tsunade hug me like that? I've only just met her. And why isn't my body rejecting her touch? For years, countless women have tried to approach me—none succeeded. Whenever someone got too close, my body instinctively pushed them away.' Before I could pry her off and demand answers, a massive blue screen materialized in front of me, emblazoned with the word "Emergency" written in bold red letters. The world froze around me, and I found myself unable to move or push Tsunade away—her grip felt like steel chains binding me. 'Wait… will she be teleported with me?'

I attempted to use teleportation to escape her hold, but before I could act, the emergency summons activated, pulling both of us into its vortex.

[Emergency Summons: A Great Calamity Has Occurred. Lusis Has Called for You Immediately.]

[Forcibly Recalling All Shadows and Summoning Ajamu.]

The moment I opened my eyes after being summoned, I froze at the horrifying scene unfolding before me. Unlike previous summons where I appeared outside worlds, this time I stood in the heart of a city engulfed in chaos. Flames consumed buildings, screams filled the air, and monstrous creatures slaughtered innocent civilians without mercy. I was positioned in the center of the main street, with a massive gate looming in the distance—the source of the demonic invasion.

All these observations flashed through my mind in mere seconds. Without hesitation, I commanded: "ARISE!" My shadows surged forth from my own shadow, forming an army clad in unfamiliar armor and wielding advanced weaponry.

Ajamu: "PROTECT THE PEOPLE AND KILL ANYTHING THAT COMES OUT OF THAT GATE! NOW!"

At my command, my shadows sprang into action. Amidst the chaos, I suddenly realized something had loosened its grip on me. Turning slightly, I remembered—Tsunade had been holding onto me when we were teleported. To my astonishment, instead of panicking or retreating behind me for safety, she immediately assessed the situation. Without uttering a single question, she moved toward the nearest group of survivors—a mother and her children whom my shadows had just saved—and began healing their wounds.

Her composure and decisiveness left me speechless. This woman was unlike anyone else I'd encountered, and the mystery surrounding her deepened further. Just as I started contemplating what to say to her about our current predicament—a situation even I barely understood—a voice echoed in my head.

Lusis: "Ajamu, the situation is dire. I'm currently locked in a ferocious battle protecting another world. These demons exploited my absence to sneak in a small group of warlocks, who sacrificed themselves to hastily open this gate and invade this realm. Protect this world and annihilate anything that emerges from that gate—whether it's a giant or an ant, show no mercy. Once you've secured this side, cross the gate and destroy whatever lies beyond. Be warned: the leader of these demons is no weakling. From the moment they succeeded in opening this gate and claimed their first victim, this has become war. My friend."

I was stunned. Never had I imagined such a breach possible—not while Lusis watched over everything. Until now, I'd believed that even if I failed during one of these missions, the people would remain safe under Lusis' protection. But seeing the devastation firsthand painted a grim reality.

[The Mother of the Children's POV]

Our city was once peaceful—a thriving capital of the kingdom. Life was good for my family of five: my husband, our three children, and me. We were merchants, respected and well-off. Today, we ventured into the city to buy gifts for the kids as a reward for excelling in school.

But then… hell broke loose.

A colossal gate erupted in the sky, spewing forth demons, monsters, and creatures straight out of legends and folklore. A booming voice reverberated across the city, chilling every soul to the bone:

"WE CLAIM THIS WORLD IN THE NAME OF OUR GREAT KING NEVAREX! WE OFFER THIS CITY'S HUMANS AS SACRIFICES TO CALL HIM INTO THIS REALM! BEGIN!"

Slaughter ensued. The invaders butchered everyone indiscriminately, setting fire to homes and buildings to root out those hiding inside. City guards rushed to defend us, but they fell swiftly, slaughtered before landing a single blow.

I regained consciousness when my husband and our guards shoved the children into my arms and told me to flee. They stayed behind to hold off a demon blocking our path. I obeyed, clutching my kids tightly as we ran. Behind us, I heard their screams—the sound of my husband and the brave men who gave their lives for ours. My youngest son cried out, "Father, no!"

We escaped the demon, but a flying monstrosity targeted us next. It swooped down, aiming for my son perched on my shoulder. I yanked him out of harm's way, but the creature's claws slashed my shoulder. The pain knocked me to the ground. Screaming for my children to run, I watched helplessly as they hesitated, torn between fleeing and staying by my side.

The beast lunged again, raking its claws across my back. My children screamed, frozen in terror. My eldest—a twelve-year-old boy armed with a short sword given to him by his father, a knight apprentice—seemed ready to fight. Despite my protests, he refused to abandon me.

Then, the demon who killed my husband reappeared, grinning wickedly as he approached my terrified children.

"NO! NO! PLEASE NOT MY KIDS! SOMEBODY SAVE THEM! PLEASE!" I screamed, praying desperately for divine intervention.

Summoning the last of my strength, I grabbed a wooden stick from the rubble and struck the monster's leg, drawing its attention. "OVER HERE! COME ON, YOU STUPID UGLY DEMON! OVER HERE!"

The demon chuckled cruelly, amused by my defiance. Inches away from my children, hope seemed lost—until everything froze. The demon paused mid-step, along with all the others. Everyone turned to look behind me, farther down the street.

There stood a man, a woman clinging to him amidst the carnage. His expression shifted from shock to rage, and though he was far away, his voice carried clearly, as if spoken directly beside me:

"ARISE."

And then came the second most unbelievable event of the day. From his shadow emerged an army unlike anything I'd ever seen—men clad in strange armor wielding weapons both familiar and alien. With commanding authority, he ordered them to protect us and eradicate the invaders.

They moved with precision, some vanishing instantly only to reappear elsewhere. One warrior—a man with long hair cascading down his back—decapitated the demon threatening my children. He muttered a single word: "Trash," before disappearing again.

The tide of battle shifted dramatically. What began as a massacre transformed into a war between two armies. Watching the demons fall, relief washed over me. Exhausted from my injuries and reassured that my children were safe, I collapsed, the image of them running toward me etched into my fading consciousness.
