''There is no point pretending anymore,'' Veronica crossed her arms in front of her chest.
Everyone looked at her in confusion, ''What is it, Vera?" several female staff who could not wait to dig dirt on Diana jumped on the opportunity.
Even Mary was looking back and forth between them, confused by what was transpiring.
Diana shook her head at Mary. Mary patted her shoulder.
''She is trying to hide….'' Veronica strode towards her, an arrogant look crossed on her face, ''...the fact that someone stood her up on a date."
Diana's face relaxed.
''How embarrassing,'' the women whispered to each other like birds chirping in the background.
Looking at the blank expression on her face, Mary patted her back, ''A man who keeps a lady waiting is not a gentleman. No regrets over such people.''
Diana nodded. No regrets indeed. As long as her sheep was not out of the bag, she had no regrets.
