I stared at my father straight in the eye. "Then consider yourself dead that moment you try to touch Florence."
I left them inside the conference room dumbfounded. What I said is not just a warning but a promise.
All the empathy that I have for them were long gone the moment they showed me how cruel they are. They did not treat me as their son, why would I have a remorse on cutting ties with them?
I slumped on the swivel chair of my office and knead my forehead. That argument with my parents almost put me on the edge.
I look at my wrist watch, and my eyes widened when I saw that it's already 8:20 in the morning. Fuck, I'm supposed to pick Florence in her apartment, but because of my parents, I wasn't able to do that.
"But maybe he's still on the apartment."
I immediately closed my laptop after saving some files that I was doing earlier. I get my phone and storm out of my office.
