The next day.

Horikita arrived with horrible news!

The midterms content had been changed a week ago!

Chabashira just didn't bother to tell the class!

What the fuck?!?!

All that hard work everyone put into studying was useless!

Syl was devastated!

Or not…

Syl never studied in the first place so he couldn't care less! He didn't waste any time at all!

This is why you should never study! Only cram at the last minute!

(I am legally obligated to tell you this is not true. Do not leave everything to the last minute and definitely don't just not study at all… unless you wanna be cool!)

However, the rest of the class (the normal people who study) were pissed!

What do you mean you just forgot to tell us, Chabashira?!

That's bullshit!

They would all be right. Chabashira was just an old tsundere who didn't tell them on purpose to test their abilities.

However, this is when Kushida (Ayanokoji) came in clutch for the class! Kushida stood up and smiled at everyone.

"Don't worry, everyone! I heard from someone that the midterms this year are the same as last years and I found someone's old test! I printed everyone a copy!"

She started handing them out one by one to all of the students.

What no one noticed was that the one she handed Syl was drastically different from all the others. Even Horikita's was normal! Kushida actually made the test questions up herself! It had none of the real answers on it!

Syl was fucked! If he memorized these answers he would definitely fail and drop out of school!

How could this happen too poor Syl? He did nothing wrong!!

Maybe just a few things…

A decent amount…

A lot…

He was a dumbass…

Anyway!

Syl was in deep shit! And he didn't even know it yet!

The next day.

It was exam time!

Everyone from class D entered the exam's with a nervous sweat on their foreheads. Chabashira had just made sure to remind them how if they failed even one of these tests then they were donezo, gone for good, e to the x to the spelled!

Expulsion was on the line!

They all sat down at their desks and faced forward, all except for Kushida who was constantly looking back at Syl.

For someone who was supposed to be a great actress, she was REALLY struggling to keep it together right now. You could practically see the excitement dance in her eyes as she looked at Syl with anticipation.

Even Syl noticed!

'She must have fallen for my charms!' Syl thought!

Nevermind! Syl didn't notice at all!

The test started and Syl looked at all the questions… so easy!

He already had Kiryuin's old test to cheat off of! This was a piece of cake! She got nearly 100% on every test, plus Syl didn't even bother to memorize her English test. He practically had a PHD after all… It would just be a waste of time!

Although he was struggling with history a bit. He was Canadian after all, who knows what the Edo period was? He learned about residential schools and the war of 1812! Canada beat the USA in a war by the way! We even burned down the whitehouse! HAHAHA! GO CANADA!

Anyway!

He might actually have been in trouble if it wasn't for Kiryuin's notes. Although Syl had all the middle school Japanese history knowledge, this was highschool!

Syl continued to write his tests in peace, he even corrected a few mistakes in the questions on the English test just to flex.

Chabashira would be pissed! Who does this guy think he is to be fixing the tests she helped make?!

He's a guy with a PHD in English! He's actually more than qualified to do that! But how was Chabashira supposed to know this? How many 14 years olds do you know with a PHD?!

None!

Anyway!

The exam's were smooth sailing for Syl, he had over a week to memorize the answers for a handful of exams. If he couldn't pass…

Chabashira told the students to put the pencil's down.

Immediately Syl was approached by Kushida. She practically knocked Horikita and Ayanokoji down on her way over!

She was a woman on a mission!

"How did your mid-terms go, Syl? Did you review enough? I hope my test questions helped a lot! Tehe!"

Syl was stunned by the voice he didn't notice as he was focused on his notification from the system.
