Prologue

Year 1837

  ....serenity, that is all she felt right now.  For little Asher today was her most favorite day of the year because that is the day she was born. Its also the day she gets whatever she wants. Today was her 3rd birthday in human years.

      She was dressed in a beautiful flowy floral beige dress, one which costed a fortune in those years . It was an early birthday present from her mother this morning. She had her hair in a beautiful waterfall braid with little ribbons braided into them done by one of her care takers.

    She was requested of by her mother to wait in her room until she was called upon.

     It wasn't until the sun was at full height did she leave her room.

     She went out to the courtyard in a hopping frenzy, too excited to contain herself. She could only wander what her parents had got for her as a present this year.

      She secretly hoped that it was a pony that she had so wanted since she saw one on their last trip to the coast of Versailles.  (pronounced Ver-sai. Sorry I don't know the spelling).

       As she hopped she almost missed the decorations in the main room. It took a lot of control for her to not scream.

       There were ribbons and balloons everywhere. At the end of the room were her parents, all the staff and a massive cake that was fit for a ball or a gala.

        Little Asher ran up to her parents Annemarie and Juan Carlos and gave them a big hug.

         " oh thank you, thank you mother, father.  Thank you so very much." She said while still hugging them.

          " of course dear. We would do anything to make our little girls birthday memorable." Replies Juan Carlos now pulling away from his daughters bone crushing hug.

         " yes dear we love you very very much. Don't you forget that." Adds Annemarie. " and I love you too mother and father. Promise me we will always be like this. One big happy family"

        " we promise dear. we will never leave your side. We promise" her  mother replied. Little did they know that their lives were about  to take a dramatic turn, and not for the better.
