Chapter 8

After diligently completing basic missions for two weeks, the party's efforts were recognized. They were promoted to the esteemed D rank, a testament to their growing skills and experience. Just as they were preparing to embark on a new mission, a secret message arrived, heralding a new and more challenging task.

Look at this. Hood had the latter in his hands. 

This is from my father. It says they need help with bandits on the northeast route. They are attacking many medical caravans, and they are apparently having a lot of trouble as they can't catch them in the woods.

We shoud go right awey. Said Sena. She knew how vital things like herbs are to healers.

They needed a day to reach a place where caravans were being attacked. It was a small forest near a big mountain range, and tracking people inside was hard. They took a mission to hunt down an orc in the mountains as a cover-up for their actual goal. As soon as they arrived, they noticed another party, a lot smaller than theirs—just two people, both guys.

Who are you said one of them. He was tall and handsome, with blond hair and a smug face, and his companion was short and muscular with a beard.

We are here to hunt down Orc. Answered Arthur as he stepped in front of them.

Adventurers just like us then, we are also hunting that monster in the forest. Answered the shorter man.

I'm Kai, and my taller friend is Leo.

Leo ignored Arthur, who was before him, as his eyes were on Sena's body.

We can work together to defeat him. If you want, we can split the money and save time, said Leo.

Before they could answer, horses' noise interrupted them. Medical caravans that were passing were being attacked at the moment.

They reacted as soon as they saw this and approached them for help.

Kai and Leo followed them.

Arthur unleashed his sword and started slicing up bandits easily. At the same time, Hood covered him with arrows, and Hali prepared an ice spell.

Kai joined and started helping Arthur. He was using Hamer while Leo unleashed smoke from one hand and fire from another. Sena Caster gave a supportive spell to increase everyone's mana, as she thought a combat spell was needed.

The battle didn't last long, even though there were a lot of bandits. 

They are weak, too weak for bandits. Said Leo as he took one of the corpses and ripped off his armor; inside was a grown goblin.

How is that possible? Asked Sena in shock.

So about that, Orc, do you want help? What?

As it turns out, Orc was the one who took control of the goblins and fed them humans and medical supplies they stole so they could grow stronger.

This happened before when Orc left other Orcs because they wanted absolute dominance. 

So let's find where they are hiding and kill them before they grow even more.

Arthur and Hood were surprised by Leo. He seemed a jerk earlier, but now he looked like a capable adventurer.

After they started searching, Sena used her enchantment of senses to find it faster than anyone else.

They are hiding in two connected caves. One is on high ground, and the other is on low ground.

Sena gave enough information, but they now just needed a good plan.

How about this: We can wait for night to fall. Then, you can use your light to guide us to the high-ground cave. I can use my fire and smoke to light that cave up. Then, they will need to rush towards the lower cave. If they rush from the lower cave, it is easier to fight with them, especially since we have a mage. A mage on high ground with protection is like a king.

Everybody looked at each other briefly, but it seemed like Leo's plan was accepted.

Night had fallen, and Sena and Leo started to move toward the high cave while others waited in the ambush in the lower cave. The distance was small, so they could help them after lighting up the higher cave. Sena felt tired as her mana was diminishing; she used a supportive spell earlier and then enchantment of the senses. Now, she needed to constantly have a light on for some time.

She was a little lost in her thoughts when she felt Leo's hand pulling her towards him.

What are you doing?

We should stay closer. They probably have some kind of guards even at night.

She accepted, but his hand didn't leave her waist.

She started to feel better, realizing she was devouring his emotions. Her depleted mana was now slowly returning.

But he didn't stop there. His hands were slowly moving, feeling Sena's body. 

They arrived near the cave. Can you use light to blind guars for a little while so I can cast without worry?

I can, but I need to wait for a while until my mana recovers.

Sena was still feeling empty and could not cast potent spells.

While they were waiting together, Leos's hands started to get more and more bold as he just squeezed her boobs.
