After several pleadings from Nevian, I agreed to go back home with him but this time around, I was the one in charge of the silence treatment.
All I wanted was to send a warning message to him that I wasn't one to be toyed with.
I might be vulnerable but that doesn't mean I should be relegated to a lesser position, like someone who doesn't matter.
It was better I let him know this early otherwise, it was going to be an issue afterwards — This which I was confident about.
Swinging my purse, I made my way into the large hall where a ton of other business owners were gathered for a business summit.
It was an annual meeting which I had always loved to be a part of and here it was.
The first thing I noticed on arrival was that everyone came with a pair. It was more like a couples gathering than a business summit like I had imagined.
