Khloe's POV
Clinking my heels against the ground, I made my way down the stairs, clinging to my purse which I held tightly.
Last night was a long one for me as I couldn't stop tossing from one end to the other, all in a bid to get some sleep but it was to no avail.
My difficulty in sleeping must have been due to the fact that I was worried and I just couldn't get my mind off what awaited me at the office.
Just when I was about to cross towards the door, Nevian appeared out of nowhere and with his hands tucked inside his pockets, he smirked.
"I'm running late for work." I said impatiently, still nursing my anger from last night.
"Then you should have woken up in time to get my breakfast ready." With his back turned on me, he added, "It seems you didn't get the part of wifely duties."
Furious, I appeared before him and with my hands resting on my waist, I yelled, "Have you lost it?"
