The Visit

Ruby's mind was full of thoughts as she walked to the place chambers that she had occupied as a child – and now served as a prison. Her heart raced in her chest as he hadn't been to that area of the place in almost a year. She had been so focused on how to get Seth back to her that she had not considered that place at all but now, she felt like she needed to see what it looked like – and see the person that occupied there now.

"Are you sure about this, My queen?" Mabon asked from behind. He watched Ruby closely and from her shoulders, he could tell that she was tense. He knew that she hadn't visited this place as she had put him in charge of guarding the vicinity and making sure that the prisoner didn't communicate with anyone.

"Yes, I am…" Ruby replied. "Do not worry about me so much, Mabon…"

"If I don't worry about you, who would I worry about?" he asked with seriousness but heard the chuckle that came out of the queen.
