He Wept For The First Time

Mabon looked at Ling but the wizard kept staring at Seth's face. Nothing had changed. The only thing that was different was that the pins had sunk into Seth's body halfway and only its head showed outside his flesh. Ling's mouth had become dry and he struggled to gather some saliva in his mouth to lubricate his parched throat. Had he lost Seth? After everything? He had taken a risk coming to the Ziviel Kingdom and was even hesitant to return to The Red Kingdom. Ling had done everything within his power to get Seth back and had even lost a life in the process. Now, this? Ling could not believe it.

"So what?"

Mabon's voice brought the wizard out of his reverie. He jerked and looked back at the commander without uttering a word. His eyes were red from too much focus and worry and he was beginning to feel fatigued.
