“Terrence!”
“Yes, boss-man.”
“Suit up. We’re going out.”
“Right away, Mike.”
He sent a brief text message to Timothy to inform the deputy director about the progress of his assignment as Terrence and he made their way down to the basement. When the two men drove off, his phone rang.
“Mike, back up?”
“Hey, babe. I’ve got Terrence with me. Erica will meet me at Elizabeth’s place.”
“Be careful.”
“Always, love.”
“I love you, Mike. I’ll see you at home.”
“I love you, too, babe.”
Upon reaching the apartment complex twenty minutes later, Mike told Terrence to stay behind him. They met Erica outside of Elizabeth’s apartment.
“Have you read the attachment?”
“Yeah. Thank you for that, Erica. So, Samuel had received some money from an unknown source, eh? How did you get your hands on such an incriminating evidence?”
“Hundred grand. I have my ways.” Erica winked at him and then knocked on the door. “I hope we’re not too late. Beth? It’s me, Erica.”
