Conquest Of Dark Lord

Set in an age of destruction, this period is marked by economic crisis, inflation, famine, and deadly plagues. These calamities stem from four kingdoms waging war over territories they each seek to control. The magic they wield has devastating effects on both the environment and society. This turmoil triggers the rise of a being known as the "Dark Lord," the harbinger of ruin from the Age of Emptiness, about 250,000 years ago. The Dark Lord's essence awakens within a 15-year-old boy during his Elemental Awakening Ceremony. In order to destroy the power hierarchy that is worsening the situation on this continent, the Dark Lord must gather his strength again to destroy the power of the System that is used by someone to control all countries on this continent. But to get to that point is certainly not easy, it takes a high mentality and confidence to destroy the evil that has long existed on this continent.

"Hmm, speaking of swords, it really gives me an idea," he murmured, looking down.

I had noticed some time ago that whenever he began to think, he had this look—a look where his gaze focused far away, his brows furrowed, with fine lines near his mouth and a slight twitch in his nose. It made him seem as if he were pondering something beyond ordinary human intelligence. It was the look of a true intellectual. I sighed. It was hard to believe my idea might be brilliant enough for someone so young.

"Allow me to use this sword well, Mr. Carter Slade, or should I call you Thick Beard?" He spoke as if discussing the weather.

**POV: EIZAN**

"I intend to start practicing with this sword. Just one touch and it feels different from any I've used before. It won't be too troublesome to switch swords during training anymore," I said.

My statement was met with silence. I looked up to see Blackbeard drop a stack of papers he had been fumbling with nervously. His face froze, and I could hear his heartbeat quicken.

"Can I really believe what you just said? Can you truly wield that sword to its full potential?" he asked after what felt like a long pause.

"Of course. It will be a long process, but it's definitely possible. When the time comes, you'll be very pleased with the results I'll achieve during my training at the Academy," I chuckled softly, trying to ease the tension.

He nodded with a smile after failing to form a coherent sentence.

"There's no greater happiness than seeing a child succeed in their field," he managed to stammer.

"Great! Then I'll leave the matters we discussed to you. Now, please excuse me. Sorry for interrupting your work."

I walked out of the Blacksmith, accompanied by Sophia and Elisia who followed behind me.

I was glad it went well.

Upon arriving at Eva's residence, I tried to practice again in my room, focusing on my mana core, only to be interrupted by a series of inexplicable sneezes. I became too impatient with my training. I wanted to rush and reach a level I had never attained before, but it wasn't happening as quickly as I wanted.

A minor altercation with Director Emilia made it all too real for me. I was too inexperienced and weak. It hadn't affected me much until now, but I wasn't used to fighting the way Mages fought. The fact that Knights had a smaller range compared to Mages made the battles much harder.

I didn't want to be a king; I just wanted revenge. I wanted to be strong enough to kill those responsible for hurting my family, friends, and even myself... those who loved me. It was never that simple, though. The ones responsible for the attack that night were enough to disturb my thoughts even further.

I then realized that no matter how strong one was, they were still just one person. I needed authority along with my strength. Becoming a king then served its purpose.

Life would be different. I wouldn't let the people I cared about suffer.

Right on time, the girls returned from their shopping trip just as I finished dressing. I descended the stairs to greet them.

"Hmph!" Sophia pouted with her arms crossed.

"Is it because I didn't go shopping with you, Sophia? I'm sorry." I patted her head, which she turned away from, making her face tense as she tried not to smile.

"How was the shopping, Lady Eva? Did you buy a lot?" I asked, my hand still on Sophia's head.

"We didn't buy much, just some new clothes for Sophia and me," Eva replied.

At that moment, I heard the sound of hurried footsteps approaching. Jeff arrived beside us with an excited expression on his face. His eyes were slightly red, and he had an irresistible smile.

"You're finally here!" he said, almost breathless.

"Dear, why are you so flustered? Have you been crying? What happened?" Eva looked at him, puzzled and worried. Jeff did seem a bit frantic.

"Haven't you told them yet?" He turned to me, the silly grin still plastered on his face.

Shaking my head, I chuckled, "I just came down too. What's going on, Mr. Jeff?"

"I was discussing with Director Emilia about when you all will enter Axeris Academy, and she's agreed. Of course, only if Lady Tabitha consents."

His words left us all confused.

"Agreed? What do you mean, Jeff?" Eva persisted in her questioning.

"They can enter the Academy as soon as tomorrow. The other students entering Axeris Academy will be introduced by Director Emilia tomorrow. So, are you all ready to go to the Academy?" Jeff, you're the best, but that's the agreement I've reached with the Director.

"Oh my. I-I need a moment. I need to sit down." I watched Alex's knees wobble as he walked to the sofa.

"This won't be an instant thing. I still don't think I'm ready to enter such a prestigious Academy."

Alex's parents just nodded, and I turned to face Bairon, who looked confused.

I approached Alex, who seemed both anxious and unsteady, "Hey champ, weren't you the one who insisted we join this prestigious Academy? Why does the person who invited us not look like the confident Alex who always exaggerates his words?" I began to provoke him to stir his emotions.

Sure enough, he stood up and grabbed my collar. "What do you mean, Eizan? Who are you calling a coward?" I smiled thinly at his words.

"Then come with us to the Academy. I'm sure you'll learn a lot there." My words impacted his emotions, and he released his grip on my collar.

Alex stormed out of the house, leaving us in an awkward silence.

"He'll be back," I said as I walked over to a package I hadn't opened yet.

I opened the package to find Axeris Academy uniforms sent for us. As I pulled out my uniform, Sophia immediately approached me with her eyes sparkling.

"Hey Sophia, why don't you open yours too?" Sophia followed my suggestion and opened her package. Not only did her uniform look different in design, but its color was also distinct.

Eva and Jeff were puzzled by Sophia's uniform. "Isn't that..." Jeff murmured quietly.

Bairon crossed his arms and informed us, "That's the uniform for nobility in this country. They must know your background and family history, Sophia. How strange. Does Sophia have noble blood in her lineage? Who are you really, Sophia?"
