Conqueror of Magic

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read on mobile device for best experience. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Having lost his parents at a young age and not having access to a home since it had burned to the ground after a sudden outburst of flames, Arthur was taken in by the council of sorcery. Not because they had felt sympathy for him but simply due to the fact that even though his parents had been burned to ashes, Arthur did not even have a single scratch on his body. Now intrigued by the boy, the council of sorcery sent their most obedient servant; the one they call “the inspector” to relocate Arthur into a prestigious school so that his strength could bloom so that they could have a powerful ally in the future. Even so, the council of sorcery commanded that the school treated him like trash. This was because Arthur’s parents were quite powerful in their prime and as such were sought after by the council of sorcery. Even though it was an amazing offer for Arthur’s parents, they refused which invoked the long lasting rage of the council of sorcery. In a world full of factions that try to sway the tides of power to their own side, Arthur must now learn how to grow strong so he could finally find the person who had killed his parents and get revenge for the years of torment that the council of sorcery had put him through. Although he just might get quite a bit more than he bargained for. —————————————————————————————————————————— Note: This story will be quite long since there are a lot of things that need to be covered in the story. Sadly though, I’m fueled by compliments so the more people that enjoy this novel, the more I can write. Schedule plan for this novel is 2 chapters a day, 1000+ words each or if does quite well, it will be moved up to 3 chapters a day (same number of words each). —————————————————————————————————————————— Hope you enjoy this novel though, happy reading.

"We're not letting you leave to live a life of luxury on your own while we're living in this dump, if you get to live happily, so do we!" the two said at the same time as they protested that Arthur took the two of them with him.

"Hey, just wondering, is it okay with you if brought these two along?" Arthur asked to which Egris looked before agreeing to just one of them.

"I see, I knew I recognized you from somewhere. The inspector can't come. It seems that the council of sorcery has put a large bounty on your head. I would be careful if I were you. Since you seem to be good friends with Arthur, I won't say anything about this and pretend I didn't see a thing. As for the other guy, William, he can come. You made quite a number of headlines a few years back. I wanted to meet you myself. Of course we would be glad to have you in our army as well however I won't force you to do anything," said Egris with a smile.

"I understand," said Yosel with a smile before waving goodbye to his two friends as the three of them teleported elsewhere.

"Maybe I should've never been picked as the inspector. Maybe then, I would be able to roam the world freely instead of having to work for a group of lazy old farts all my life," said Yosel before turning around with a sigh.

"Maybe so Yosel, you know, life isn't quite fair. Please don't make this hard for yourself," said a man with a skeleton looking white mask that covered his whole face while also wearing a white suit.

"Come on, let me have some fun for once," said Yosel as he began to cast his spells as a great battle took place.

"Welcome to Juno military academy," said Egris as he had teleported the two people that were with him to a large school that was similar to that of the school Arthur had attended for most of his life.

"Pretty cool right?" Egris asked with a smile on his face.

"If you're trying to excite a child, a school isn't really the best way to do so," Arthur replied.

"I understand, even so, this isn't the normal school that the average person would attend. Even for the students that attend this school, your experience will differ from theirs. You see, you won't be attending classes with other students. We've moved all of our finest teachers to teach you alone and no one else. You will be having personalized classes where the teachers will help you become the best version of yourself," Egris explained.

"Moreover, I'll also be your teacher at after school hours. Seeing as how much we're investing in you, we have to train you as much as possible," said Egris.

"Well, I don't know when I'll be able to go get suffocated by a pair of thighs if I'm training all the time," said Arthur while rather annoyed.

"You waited all your life, you can wait a bit more," said Egris with a smile which annoyed Arthur however he made sure to note that he would get his chance to get suffocated as soon as possible.

"You're quite annoying you know. Anyway, I want the training sessions I have with you to be strictly battle based and I want Willam to train me at the same time," said Arthur which confused Egris.

"What do you exactly have in mind?" Egris asked with an intrigued face.

"I want to stand still while the two of you attack me at the same time," said Arthur which Egris began to laugh before stopping once he realized that Arthur wasn't joking in the least.

"Wait what? So you do this on a regular basis already?!" Egris asked to which Willam nodded.

"So like does he just endure all the pain?" Egris asked as he couldn't wrap his head around the idea that anyone could dodge the punches of the one known as lightning himself.

"I mean you're literally nicknamed the lightning fist, there's no way that he could manage to dodge a punch from you, right?" Egris asked with an awkward laugh to which Willam began to giggle as well.

"Well, in the beginning he couldn't however he's improved quite a lot, the last time we tried he managed to dodge about half of the punches however now it might have increased to nearly 60%. He improves quite quickly," said Willam to which Egris' head was filled with joy.

"This is the best decision I've ever made," said Egris before opening the school gates to lead Arthur as well as Willam to the school itself.

"What a surprise to see you sir. You should have warned us, we would have decorated the entire school appropriately," said one of the guards as their heart nearly left their body from seeing Egris.

"No need, I'm not concerned with anything from this school specifically, I'm only here to take care of some small business," said Egris.

"So I can assume that you will only stay for a couple hours then sir?" the guard asked.

"Not really, I presume that I'll be here for a couple years. Don't worry though, I'm not here to do any inspecting, I'm here to teach someone," said Egris before walking past the guards and entering the main building to which a fat man was walking around while drinking his coffee. Just as the sight of Egris, he nearly dropped his coffee on the ground and quickly began to greet Egris.

"I'm so sorry about that reaction sir, how may I help you?" said the principal to the school.

"There's no need for any special treatment, I believe that I already contacted the teachers here and told them to meet me in the conference room, l'll be going there now. Please follow me," said Egris.

"But of course, what brings this visit though," said the principal.

"I found interest in a student, I'll be teaching him myself," said Egris as he walked past a classroom full of students but no teacher. Just as they heard those words, their hearts began to beat so fast that they nearly exploded. A single thought went through all their heads.

"I have to be the student that the general picks to be his student."
