Chapter 1Blood In The Slums.

In the slums of the city of Lurandal. In the shadows of the night, under the silvery moonlight of the bright full moon, and the crimson light of Velmaur, the neighboring planet. It was as if the slums were shrouded in the eerie, bloody darkness of the ominous night.

*Bang* *Bang*

Sounds of multiple gunshots were heard across the back alley. The residents of the slum closed themselves in their houses or hid far away from the source of the commotion. The residents were too afraid to come out to check the situation.

A young, dark-haired boy was running across the street with an anxious expression on his blood-covered face. The blood continued dripping down from the wound on his forehead and exhaustion started taking over his body.

From time to time, he glanced back to see if he managed to escape the trail. He was sprinting to stay alive. He doesn't know if he managed to escape, but he knows if he stops here, he will die.

The fear of death was the only driving force that helped him live in his current predicament. While taking deep breaths, he took another turn. But in front of him stood a person covered in black clothes from head to toe, with only a black dragon tattoo on his bare neck. He gritted his teeth in frustration and desperation and started running in the opposite direction.

His grip tightened on the pistol he was holding. He immediately fired at the black-clothed figure behind him without looking back. One would believe it's a last-ditch struggle for him to survive. Those aimless bullets can only be dependent on luck to hit their mark.

But, miraculously, from the trajectory of those bullets, no one can believe those shots were aimless. The precision of all those shots was like that of an expert. All the bullets were shot at the vital points of the enemy. This level of handling and control of guns can only be described as godly.

But regardless of how precise those shots were. That boy didn't dare to stop. He continued running as if knowing it was all meaningless.

And that is what happened. The black-clothed figure calmly took out a knife and

*Pang*

*Pang*

*Pang*

*Pang*

Sounds of metal hitting metal were heard, and all the bullets were deflected by that curved knife he held. None of those bullets even managed to scratch him.

"Haa... Damn it... Haa."

The boy cursed under his breath. He knew it would end up like that. But he has to buy some time for his escape. He can't find any other solution to his situation. He tried accessing a bracelet-like thing on his hand. But it was broken. Because his mana bracelet was broken, he couldn't contact anyone. Only the storage function was working somewhat. But too bad he only had some magazines for his pistol and other things were not useful in his current situation. After all, he wasn't an awakened so he couldn't use any artifacts.

The black-clothed figure chased him like a predator chasing its prey. Soon he increased his speed as if the game of run and chase was about to end.

The dark-haired boy continued firing bullets. Even if they were precise, what does it matter? All of them were blocked with a single knife.

"Haah... Haah."

While reloading those bullets, he didn't dare stop. Letting out hoarse grunting sounds each time he breathed. The muddy water on the road splashed everywhere as he continued running. His body was long past the exhaustion point. But what does it matter? His life depended on it.

'Will I die today?'

'If only I had mana.' He has yet to go through his awakening, so he hadn't formed a mana core yet. Hence, neither could he access mana nor his element.

Many thoughts resurfaced in his mind. But soon everything stopped as he felt a bone-breaking pain in the back of his head. Didn't know when the black-clothed figure already approached him and, with a violent punch on his back, sent his tattered body flying dozens of meters.

"Paah."

Blood splattered out of his mouth and from the various wounds on his body. His blood-dripping eyelids turned to his right leg, which was now pointing in the wrong direction.

The boy didn't know how many bones he got broken after that last attack. But the pain all over his body, especially on the back of his head, made his senses numb.

'Even my brain can't handle so much pain.'

'But why am I in this situation? What did I do wrong? I don't even know why does someone wants to kill me.'

Even in his near-death state, the boy wanted answers.

'Is it one of my parents' enemies?'

*Tap*

*Tap*

*Tap*

With the sounds of closing footsteps, the boy barely managed to turn his eyes in the direction from where the sound was coming.

There he saw his killer, his unknown nemesis, coming in his direction patiently, without any rush. Like he was waiting to give him a slow, painful death. As if he didn't want it to end so soon.

A desperate smile formed across the blood-dripping mouth of the boy.

"... W... Why?"

He barely managed to utter a word. His voice was almost inaudible, with barely any strength behind it. But the Assassin heard it clearly.

"You want to know why you are going to die, right?" The Assassin asked, as if amused by the situation.

The boy could imagine the mocking expression on his face even with his face covered. 'He is enjoying it.'

"It seems you don't even have the strength to answer me." The Assassin shook his head in pity.

"Welp doesn't matter. You are going to die, anyway. As for why you are dying, it's because someone powerful wants to kill you."

'Someone powerful? Who?' the boy thought. Even on the brink of death, he was puzzled. He knew with his current self it was impossible to escape. As for waiting for help, it was even more ridiculous. Because no one knew where he was.

He didn't tell anyone that he came to the city of Lurandal to take things off his mind because of certain matters at home. But who would expect to be targeted by an Assassin? He regrets his decision now.

Armipotent

This is a work of fiction, any names, characters, stories or events, are fictitious! (Even the country in the story is just the author's fantasy as the author never visited those countries in the story) Armipotent is an archaic adjective meaning "strong in battle." Basically, it refers to someone who is physically tough in war. Originally, it was used to refer to the Roman god of war, Mars. ===================== Tang Shaoyang, an orphan who dropped out of the middle school to fight on the street as he found out school was useless for a penniless orphan like him. Tang Shaoyang dropped out of his school, fighting on the street, and made a name for himself. Berserker Tang from Youyouliucun. Afterward, Dragon Wing triad recruited him and everything was good for him. Even though the public deemed him as a tumor of society, Tang Shaoyang was having a decent life. Until one day, everything changed as an absurd and strange game started. "... Game starts! Stage one: Survival for The Fittest!" After the game started, zombies appeared out of nowhere. ... Ding! "You have killed 1000 zombies less than 24 hours since the game started! You gained 3 Talents!" Dong! "You may choose 3 Talents! please choose carefully!" Tang Shaoyang held his chin and mused what Talent he had to choose. "With Zombies appear everywhere, I need an infinite strength... this is one, I still need to choose 2 Talents more..." Then a lewd smile formed on his lips. "I want an infinite strength, charm and charisma to conquer women, and the last one, I want to upgrade my **** so I can please my women!" After saying this, Tang Shaoyang laughed aloud. "Hahaha, there's no way such talent exists... ehhhhh?!!!" Ding! Dong! "3 Talents are consumed! You have been granted Divine Body! Good Luck, Gamer Tang Shaoyang!" Tang Shaoyang immediately checked the detail of Divine Body. After a brief silence, he muttered unbelievably. "Such Talents really exist..." Level 1 to Infinity: My Bloodline Is the Ultimate Cheat!

They shattered his life. Now, he’ll break the world. Ethan had it all, until his best friend and the woman he loved betrayed him, leaving him crippled and forgotten. Three years of suffering later, he clawed his way to one final, desperate act… and the universe answered. A hidden quest. A second chance. A return to the moment everything began. Now, Ethan is back, on the eve of Ethereal’s launch, the world’s first fully immersive VR game and the battlefield where legends are forged. Last time, he played fair. This time? He’s armed with years of knowledge: every exploit, every secret quest, every broken mechanic that will let him climb straight to the top. But when he logs in, something is off. The system forces him into an unwanted class—Druid, the game’s biggest joke. The kind of class people pick as a dare and regret immediately. Yet as Ethan digs deeper, the truth shakes him. [Congratulations! You have unlocked the Divine Bloodline: King of Elves!] Ethan stared at the screen, unblinking. “…The hell?” The Druid class was a jack-of-all-trades, master of none—a scattered mess of abilities that mimicked other classes but never truly excelled. Their bear form lacked the raw defense of a proper tank. Their panther form was weaker than a rogue. Their healing fell short of a priest, and their magic couldn’t compare to a mage’s devastating spells. Most players abandoned the class early, realizing they could never compete at the highest level. And yet, Ethan’s stats are off the charts. His talents are absurd. His potential is beyond anything he’s ever seen. The system has given him something no other Druid ever had—a divine bloodline, legendary abilities, and a growth rate that defies logic. If Druids were meant to be weak, then Ethan was the exception that would rewrite history. He’s not just here to reclaim his throne. He’s here to take everything. Factions will rise. Empires will fall. The strongest will thrive, and the weak will perish. And the ones who betrayed him? They won’t live to do it again.

#Top 20 Webnovel Best Sellers 2021, 2022, 2023, and in 2024 #### History is said to be written by the victors. If so, how about Earth's history? Two millennia ago, a young boy named Emery met a tragic fate. In his final moments, he was transmigrated and accepted into the Universe's most prestigious school of magic. “You are among the chosen few from thousands of human worlds. Whether you seize this opportunity or not, is up to you. You are at Magus Academy, the pinnacle of humanity's ingenuity. Each year they returned to Earth to grow, seek revenge, save the princess, conquer the world, and become Earth's Greatest Magus. Their names are still etched in our history books to this day. Authors Note: I have always been fascinated by writing fantasy relating to historical facts. In this story, you will find characters inspired by real-world myth and legend. The universe I created hopefully will make the reader's imagination excited and logically plausible. I hope you enjoy it. ### Here are some key aspects you'll encounter: MC: The protagonist follows the classic weak-to-strong arc. World: Picture a blend of Harry Potter and Star Wars. System: While it's primarily a magic-based story, there's a structured system in place that's easy to follow. Additionally, elements of cultivation. Harem: No, there are several female interests. But I enjoy romance first. So even if there will be more than one love interest it will be deep. Note: English is not my first language, but you'll notice that my writing and English skills gradually improve throughout the chapters. Other: The novel delves into deep research on science and history, enriching the storyline with factual and intriguing details. Give it a read—you might be pleasantly surprised by what unfolds. Author/Dakhshay this is really good and enjoyable. It gave me Villain Play of Destiny vibes....I am really liking this and I am sure when more people come across this they will start to really appreciate how amazing this is. So far I did read 61 chapters but its so good I wanted to review This is just for author so if you dont want spoilers dont read? I wish you would focus on him helping the heroines grow. I did see how he wanted to teach Alicia the sword art when he thought about it that she probably used in the future but so far it hasnt been mentioned if he taught her that and she has been training for a while Also he did think about making his dad buy some dungeon but after he had a thought it wasnt mentioned again. I am assuming all these things or ways he can help his family grow he will actually use in the future since you mention him thinking but not doing it. That could be really good him building up his familys influence and business using things he knows as well. Also with Lily you mentioned her getting a organic body could be hard but hopefully he can reach a power level in future where it could easily be possibly for her to become a real being with human body Also I saw power levels you mentioned and he even said there are beings with even more power then that. If you have read cultivation novels you would get it but. I was hoping that this is lower world and usually when people get to a certain power level they can ascend to go to a higher world where beings who pursue true immortality or to become a god exist. There all of them could pursue true immortality With that he can have a long journey in this world and when he has reached the peak, helped the wife and heroines (harem) reach the peak of power, also his parents, then he could go to the higher world with them. There obviously they would not be the strongest so it starts another whole journey for him along with his family and people.
