I watch the ocean roll back and forth as the sun makes its way across the sky. Good thing that Jasper had the good sense to order me simple business casual instead of the extraordinary outfits from his personal collection. The last thing I needed today was to walk into Ocean Tech looking like a pinata. Every minute that passes is another minute closer to her waking up. Maybe I could stall and keep her here. Let the morning pass as she undresses me and we pick up from where we left off last night.
I close my eyes and take in the warm morning breeze. Last night was a mere memory. One that had to stay that way. I can feel her eyes on me, her breath shallow, and brace myself. Her naked body sits outlined by the thin, white sheet and I avert my gaze. This was impossible.
I walk back inside and close the door, clearing my throat. “Good morning.”
“Good morning.”
