A glimpse of the unknown. V

Archer was raging. He was trying to keep calm.

"Did you just raise your voice at me?" Cyrus questioned with a piercing gaze.

"Cyrus..." Dylan called out.

"No, did someone else hear that he just raised his voice at me?" Cyrus yelled, turning from Emily to Dylan.

Emily placed her palm on her forehead, and decided it would be better to keep her sight low.

"Archer!" Cyrus yelled.

"Cyrus!" Archer returned. Cyrus relaxed back, wide-eyed.

"I think I've had it with your all-day-long tantrum. I don't remember ever doing anything wrong to you, but all the time I remember how unfairly you treat me which I have to endure all the time, but I think I'm done." Archer said rage-filled.

At this point, Dylan and Emily stared at Archer with mouths hanging open in surprise. They had never seen Archer react like this.

Cyrus nodded. He turned to face the side, and before anyone could stop him, he punched Archer on the belly.

"Cyrus!" Emily yelled, wide-eyed.

Archer placed his left palm on his belly, breathing hard. He glared at Cyrus under his eye-lashes, and before anyone could process his action, Archer retaliated. At this point, Dylan rushed to separate the upcoming fight. Cyrus was groaning in pain. He lost his balance and sat on the bare ground.

Archer was still panting, and his eyes closed. His face began turning grey. He could feel his fangs trying to force their way out. His fingernails forced their way out through his black gloves, and his eyes were burning inside.

"Archer...?" Emily called out, when she noticed the change in the aura of the environment, and his strange moves.

He turned his back to face her. Dylan was so distracted with trying to get Cyrus back on his feet.

Emily's eyes moved to Archer's hands, and she could see black sharp thorn-like things stuck out of Archer's thick gloves. But before she could get close to him, his nails went back to normal. She turned him to face her, and his face had come back to normal. But his eyes hadn't. They still had a hint of red in them.

She would have considered it normal for every normal person, but this was way deeper than normal.

"Archer, are you okay?" she asked, holding on to his arm.

"Yes" he replied briefly.

"Are you sure?" she asked again

"I'm okay" he responded, nodding repeatedly.

"But your hands..." she mouthed, lifting his palms. The holes which were formed by his nails were visible.

"That was nothing, I'm okay" he said as he pulled his hand back. He turned to Cyrus; he was still seated on the ground. Dylan was having a hard time singlehandedly lifting him. He rushed to Cyrus' side to help, but Cyrus pushed his hand away.

After a while of struggling, Cyrus decided he needed an extra hand. And that was when he spoke:

"Would you just stand there staring or you're going to help me up?" he exclaimed.

Archer aided him, and they both walked him to his room side by side, meanwhile Emily's eyes couldn't leave Archer. She still appeared to be dismayed by the stunt Archer had just pulled, and doubtful about what she had seen.
