~When did it all go wrong?~

I steadily waited for the light to turn green while I thought this. I was a computer programmer at {Spell! Inc.}, however, I lost my job due to it going bankrupt.

"Hah. Life sure is hard."

~Should I go for a drink? Oh, the light is green.~

I walked forward for a few steps when I realized a light was drawing increasingly closer. Before I could react, the impact came. It seemed like I had lost a lot of blood. I closed my eyes due to drowsiness.

~This is how it ends, huh? Well, it wasn't like I had something to look forward to in life.~

And that was why I welcomed death with open hands.

~So what the heck is this!?~

When I woke up, what I saw left me shocked. My surroundings were thoroughly dirty and bleak, not what you would expect for a patient environment.

~Is this even a hospital?~

On closer inspection, it didn't seem so. Where am I? I tried to move, but it was impossible. I felt smaller and my body felt weird.

~What the hell!?~

I was a baby!

~This is either a dream or I got isekai'd.~

As I thought this, a person in a medieval maid outfit came in.

"Uh. Why do I have to take care of this filthy child? Whatever. Even if I didn't do my job, nobody would care. Perks of taking care of an illegitimate child, I guess."

She then proceeded to sit down and do nothing.

~I don't think this is a dream.~

After an hour or so, she left the room.

~Wait. The situation isn't good.~

I seem to have reincarnated into the another world as an illegitimate child.

Well, I guess I should wait and see.
