Chapter 15 - Come Back?

As soon as I woke up from my sleep, I headed to the kitchen and ate a light breakfast. I took a bath and changed clothes.

Then I went straight ahead and logged in to the game.

As I was inside the game, I headed straight to the merchant store and sold all the useless items that I had inside my inventory.

"That would be a total of 450 gold coins," The merchant said.

The merchant grabbed a pouch from his counter and placed it on his counter and I grabbed it and put it in my inventory.

I went outside the store and finally headed to the west gate where Grarora's path would be.

As I was walking to the gate I felt that there were people following me.

I turned around and saw nothing.

"Maybe what I felt was wrong." I mumbled.

I then continued my walk to Grarora.

[SP + 10]

It's been an hour and a half since I had exited the west gate. As I was walking to Grarora, there were a couple of monsters that I had encountered, after defeating them I picked up their drop items and placed them on my inventory.

And now that I had defeated another monster, I grabbed its items and placed them on my inventory.

"I should have bought gunpowders and bullets," I said to myself.

And at that moment I spotted three people who were waiting ahead of me hiding on a three.

I quickly ducked and stayed put at my location to activate the invincible status of the hood.

After 30 seconds a notification appeared.

[King Bear's hood effect activated]

The three of them moved from their location when they didn't see me.

They quickly went straight in my direction and looked at me vigorously as this was the last place they saw me before I had disappeared.

One man almost stepped on me but fortunately he was stopped by his companion.

"I thought you saw him here? Where is he?" The man said with an angry tone.

"I really saw him here, he was just here a couple of seconds ago." The man replied.

"Stop the fighting and let's just split up and look for him. That letter shouldn't be passed to the Grarora guild master at all cost." The man said who seems to be the leader.

As soon as the man said those words, they all split up and looked for me.

'Letter? Is it the one that the guild master had given to me?' I asked myself.

As I was curious as to why they don't want the letter to be handed out to the guild master of the Grarora I quickly trailed one of the people.

I stood up and followed him as he was running to a nearby forest.

'Perfect' I thought to myself.

After seconds of running, the man had entered the forest and I followed along.

As soon as I had entered the forest, the man had stopped himself from running. I quickly hid in the bush and reloaded my musket.

I raised my musket and tried to aim it at him.

"Here you are!" The man said while he pointed his dagger on the back of my head.

I tried to turn around and try to shoot him even in close quarters.

"Don't even try to do something stupid. And just hand me the letter." He said.

He slid his dagger closer to my neck, "Quickly!" He said irritably.

"Okay, okay. What's with the rush?"

I opened my inventory but then I crouched and grabbed a handful of sand and dirt on the ground and threw it in his face.

"Ahhh~" He shouted as his eyes were blinded.

I quickly turned around and kicked him in his stomach. And he fell on the ground.

"Bayonet charge!" I shouted the skill's name.

I then pointed the blade on his face and stepped one foot on his chest.

"How the tables have turned," I chuckled, "Okay, if you just tell me why shouldn't the letter be delivered to the guild master then I'll spare you?"

"Even if you kill me on the spot I wouldn't tell you anything!" He yelled out.

I pushed the blade on his forehead, "Are you sure about that decision though?"

"Cleans this tainted world Lord Morgoth!" He shouted and then he ate something that was in his mouth. He had a suicide pill ready to be eaten kill himself.

As soon as I realized this was too late. He had bitten on the pill and already killed himself.

I removed my foot and the blade at my musket disappeared.

I was waiting for a sign to hover above his body and for him to pixelate to grab his items but his body didn't.

"Don't tell me? NPC?" I was surprised. "So NPC's don't regenerate in this world. Oh well, he killed himself, not my fault."

I patted his body to grab anything on him, then I felt something in his pocket area.

I grabbed it and saw that it was an emblem with a logo of a black snake with a sword that is pierced on its body.

"Is this maybe an emblem their organization have? Lord Morgoth right? I'll remember that name for now."

Then I quickly exited the forest and ran as fast as I could to the city of Grarora. After 50 minutes of running I had arrived at the city.

The city was marvelous looking, if being compared to the village it was much more bigger and populated. And the city have quite a number of other races. Dwarves, elves, and a couple of other races can be seen.

At this point I speculated that maybe the starting village we were transported to was based on which race you have chosen. On the starting village, only human races can be seen. I couldn't wait to meet other players who had picked a different race.

Then a notification appeared.

As I had no knowledge about the city, I walked for quite a while to figure out the place and to look for the guild. As I was walking I had seen quite a lot of other races. But mostly are from dwarves and beastmen races.

After quite a while of walking, I encountered a building which has a sign on it saying Guild.

Although it was only a two-storey building, it was much bigger and larger than the village guild.

I pushed the door and went inside it and went straight to the counter.

"What can I do for you?" The receptionist who has kitty ears and whiskers said.

"Wow a kitten." I yelled out.

"Is this your first time seeing a beastmen specifically of a tiger clan?" The receptionist said.

I nodded at her question. Then I pulled out the letter.

"I have to hand this out to the guild master." I said to the receptionist.

The receptionist grabbed the letter and checked the letter stamp wax.

"Please follow me," She said.

I followed the receptionist and we went inside of the building, and we stopped in a door room.

The receptionist knocked on the door three times, "Someone is here to see you guild master."

"Come in!" Someone shouted who was inside the building.

The receptionist opened the door and we both went inside the room.

"Guild master, this adventurer handed out a letter." She said as she was offering the letter to the person.

"Very well, leave that letter on the table and leave us two," The guild master spoke out facing the window.

The receptionist left the room and the big chair turned around.

"Eh? A loli?" I said as I saw a young girl appear or maybe a woman, "Are you perhaps the guild master?"

"Do you have a problem with that kid?" She said with an irritated look.

"No!" I replied hastily.

She grabbed the letter and grabbed a letter knife and opened the letter and read it.

She jumped out of the chair which was bigger than her and then she headed to the sofa and took a seat.

"Sit!" She said sternly as she looked straight at a sofa that was in front of her.

I followed her instructions and took a seat immediately.

"Tell me everything about the people who have followed you when you were going to this city" She said as she looked me in the eyes. I felt a burning anguish when I looked into her eyes.

I grabbed the emblem that I had picked and presented it to the guild master.

"This is from the person who I killed earlier," I said.

She grabbed the emblem and inspected it, as she was checking it she had a shocking face.

"They must have come back," She mumbled.

I asked as I was curious, "Come back? Who?"

"You don't have to know it now, I'll call for you when the time is right. You are now dismissed." She said

Two notifications appeared in front of me.

As I had finished reading the description of the quest, I stood up and went outside of the room and decided to go to the Marksman Academy.

I walked for quite a while and had arrived at the place.

The place was small and shabby looking. The roof and the walls are in severe shape. The place was in serious need of renovation.

But still, I had to do the hidden quest and enroll myself to the academy so I approached the door and knocked.

*Creak*

The door opened on its own. I peeked at the room and there was no one.

I went inside and called out, "Is there anyone here?"

Suddenly the door closed and when I turned around I felt that something had touched the back of my head.

"Don't say a word, and don't shout," A voice said.
