The sounds of the police and the military arriving and scouring the underground can already be heard from where Lelouch was currently.

He had already checked the driver, it seems that the driver was severely injured from the earlier crash on the construction site.

Lelouch knows a little about first aid so he helped him out but he did not dare to take out the metal rod that pierced through the abdomen of the person, so it is only a stop-gap.

He was quickly found by a soldier that had just come coincidentally.

The soldier fired a warning shot which made Lelouch quickly hide again under a cover.

"Come out with your hands over your head!" The soldier shouted behind the helmet and the gas mask so it was a bit muffled.

Lelouch then sighed with some relief as this soldier seems to be kind and reasonable enough to make the enemy surrender instead of putting people to death regardless.

"Hey, I surrender! I am a student! I got caught up in this mess by accident!

Help me out, please?!" Lelouch shouted with a slightly soft and agreeable tone.

Lelouch then slowly came out with hands over his head.

And as better lighting struck Lelouch's face, the soldier suddenly gasp a little.

"Lelouch!" The soldier exclaimed in surprise.

"Huh?" Lelouch's puzzlement is expressed with a questioning look on his face as he certainly remembers that he does not know any Britannian soldier personally.

"It's me!" The soldier said as he took off the gas mask.

"Suzaku?" Lelouch said in a questioning way as this soldier has some resemblance to his childhood friend, but that childhood friend is a female!

"It's really you, Lelouch!" Suzaku(?) Exclaimed again, his voice is mostly uni sexual, but his way of speaking is very 'manly' or 'boyish' so people would instinctively think that she is a guy.

"What the hell, why, you...

Why do you look like a feminine guy?!

Are you a trap all this time?!" Lelouch shouted with some surprise and shock as his thoughts started running in overdrive.

"What?! No! I am a bonafide woman! You dimwit! I am just pretending to be a guy in the army right now cause it is easier to blend in this way!

It's already very hard for none Britannian to join the military, and it is even harder to join as a none Britannian woman, you know!

Besides, why are you even asking something like this right now?!" Suzaku said loudly in explanation with red cheeks.

Lelouch was about to respond when the machine in the container released a sound, then a part of the machine suddenly opened up.

Suzaku paled when she heard and saw that she quickly took her gas mask and lunged onto Lelouch before making him breathe under the mask as she held her breath.

But the thing she expected did not happen.

So she finally let go of Lelouch with a sigh of relief.

"What was that? Is that supposed to be a poison gas? I do not need you to save me like that.

Next time just tell me about the danger, I am the guy here after all.

Tsk..." Lelouch said in a tsundere way. "Besides...

Why the heck are you still stronger than me?!

You're shorter than me now and your body build is certainly thinner than mine!

About that thing...

We were informed that it was supposed to be a poison gas that can cover a large area.

I don't know what happened but it seems to be a dud." Suzaku said in her normal boyish way and a soft smile before moving closer towards the part that opened up.

Lelouch followed her behind.

And there they saw that the thing inside isn't poison gas at all, inside is a suitcase that is not quite secure, just a normal one.

Lelouch narrowed his eyes when he saw that and hurriedly took the suitcase to see what was inside.

Inside is full of papers and one picture.

He first looked at the picture.

"This picture is quite old and seems to be from world war two.

The trench and the battle in the background are quite authentic.

The main subject of the picture is the woman with green hair color, she seems to be going through the battlefield?

The hell, this woman is too brave!" Lelouch exclaimed by the end which caught Suzaku's attention and prompt her to take a look at the picture too.

"You're right! Wait!

Why does this woman seem familiar?" Suzaku said after looking at the image.

Lelouch heard her but he was busy reading the papers.

"Ahhh!! Now I remember! But, damn!

How is this possible!" Suzaku exclaimed in deep shock.

"Hmmm? What is it?" Lelouch asked as he was extremely puzzled and bothered by what he was reading right now.

"This woman in the picture!

We have seen her before, don't you remember, Lelouch?!" Suzaku said loudly still in shock as she really can't believe what this picture implies.

"What?! Let me see it again!" Lelouch exclaimed before taking the picture from Suzaku's hand. "Wait...

We have truly seen her before!

I remember that she was with my mother when they came for the first time, for me, here in Japan!" Lelouch shouted in shock too, before breathing deeply a few times to calm down and analyze things.

But he was not given enough time to think much as he heard sounds of movement again, much louder and numerous this time.

They got out of the container and saw the army from a distance away.

Suzaku was about to go towards them but...

"Stop moving or we will fire at you!" Someone shouted using a megaphone.

"Sir! This is Suzaku Kururugi, reporting for duty, sir!" Suzaku shouted out as a protocol and to give his identity while saluting as he saw that it was the infantry battalion where he came from that arrived.

"Oh, so it is private Kururugi! So, who is the person beside you?!" The one with the megaphone said with some surprise.

"Sir, a 'Britannian' student was caught up when he tried to save people in an accident earlier, he did not know that the people he is trying to save are terrorists!" Suzaku explained with seriousness before giving a smile to Lelouch.
