A Task

Back on Earth, inside a dark room a big man with pot belle was about to light a cigarette before his telephone rang. The telephone was on top a black table, his seat was also black in colour, the big man was also a dark skinned fellow.

BUZZ***BUZZ***BUZZ***

The sound of the telephone ringing could be heard all over the room.

"I hope Eric doesn't have bad news for me" The man said as he also picked his telephone. "Hello Eric, what's the update, have you finally found out what happened to Derek"

"Derek, Sir i have no information about him Sir, from the information i have gathered now, i believe he vanished with both Miller Edward and James THEODORE". Eric replied through the phone call.

"Well, it's been a long time since we heard from him, i bet we should just focus on other things" The man said as he also ended the call, without giving Eric a chance to reply.

After the phone call, he left his seat and went to his bed to sleep but before he could fall into a deep sleep. An electronic sound was heard from his phone.

He wanted to leave it till the next morning, but something told him to just look at who sent him that message.

He carried his phone and when he looked at who sent him the message, it was a name he thought he would no longer hear of.

"System AI 47" he said and smiled. He knew who System AI 47 was attached to, and it was someone they all expected to be dead. It was Miller's AI. Miller's AI could not contact Earth before, but now it could because they were no longer in those prison walls.

Seeing SYSTEM AI 47, he was a little happy and he immediately opened the message sent to him by the AI.

"Greetings Sir, I am System AI 47, I am currently attached to the Anti-Meta Human Officer known as Derek Levin. We were captured by an alien race known as the Mevorotrians, we were kept in an unknown planet as prisoners and we have tried our best reaching you but we could not, we need help out of this planet. We are currently at The Planet known as Citavokin in the Andromeda Galaxy, We need help, the Mevorotrians are after us".

The man was smiling when reading the message, but immediately he saw the last sentence which read THE MEVOROTRIANS ARE AFTER US, his entire face changed. Although most humans knew nothing about the Mevorotrians, this very man did know a few things about them.

"The Mevorotrians are after you, i can't do anything, i am sorry, you have to do this your own way" The man said to himself as he deleted the message. He also immediately reprogrammed the System AI because he could do so, so that the AI would not he able to contact anyone from Earth. This very man was Paul Clinton; the head of the Anti-Meta Human Officers.

James, Getrax, The Little Boy and that beautiful lady had left the room and were heading towards an unknown destination. Getrax had been wandering why they had never encountered any Mevorotrians guards. James on the other hand was wandering how he could get to Miller.

There was an awkward silence as they kept walking. They passed through so many doors that were on either their left or right. They did not even bother opening those doors. The fear that the unknown might come out.

The beautiful lady on the other hand could no longer turn to that half human, half spider gigantic creature, so as for her they knew they were a little safe. The little boy on the other hand was no threat to James and Getrax.

The four of them had been moving forward in a straight line quietly. Getrax was the one leading them, behind Getrax was the beautiful lady and behind her was the little boy and behind him James; Whose entire forearm was covered with his blue energy.

"We should just open one of these doors" Getrax said trying to break the silence.

"You are right, but what if we open the wrong door" James replied.

Getrax and James started arguing if they should open any door or not. The little boy and the beautiful lady kept quiet, they did not bother interfering in their conversation.

Getrax and James immediately stopped their argument and stood in a fighting stance. They had stopped because they could hear someone's footsteps coming towards their direction.

The blue small lights that were attached to the tunnels walls that made the tunnels shine a little bit started to turn off simultaneously. This brought darkness around them and the only source of light was the blue energy that wrapped James body.

But strangely their was another light source heading their way, the creature had the shape of a human although it's face could not seen because he wore what looked like sack clothes to cover his entire body; the sack clothing was brown. The person was dressed like a Farmer from the medieval human era. His sack clothes covered his entire body. At the medieval human era, these were the kind of people referred to as poor. The brown sack-like cloth covered its entire body, only his fingers and little part of his foot could be seen. When one would look at his face, one could see nothing but darkness. It was like the human being had no face, his entire face was covered with his sack cloth and looking inside one could only see nothing but totally darkness.

The strange man's brown sack cloth was emitting a strong light, but yet his face was still dark so no one could see his face. It looked like he wore a kind of hoodie that was made from sacks that covered his entire face and was dark; so no one could see his face, but they could see his figure.

The strange man started moving closer to The four of them. Fear started to enter their body. The strange man increased his speed, he was running towards them from a far distance. They wanted to run but they taught it would look stupid.

James with that fear gathered courage and then sent out his blue energy from his hands towards the man at a fast speed.

The blue energy left his hands, but before they could reach the strange man, the strange man was no where to be found; He had teleported directly in front of James.

Seeing this, They all screamed in fear, Getrax tried touching the strange man but immediately he touched the man he felt weak. The man was standing directly in front of James.

The little boy and the beautiful lady did not even bother doing anything; they were scared. James gathered courage and wanted to hit the man in front of him with his super speed. But before he could do that, he started hovering upward without his control. It was like he could not control his own body. It was like the strange man knew what was going to happen before he did, because from behind Getrax wanted to hit him, but before looking he dodged and gave Getrax a little pat to his face. Getrax body paused, he could no longer control it.

From this feats, it was clear this strange man also had telekinesis as well as teleportation ability.

The beautiful lady and the little boy were scared, they did not attack neither did they even bother running.

The strange man looked at James and said something to James. The strange man did not even open his mouth, he also had telepathic abilities. He was communicating with James inside his head.

"James and Edmund, whoever is in control of the body at the moment i have a task for you" James could hear this words in his head, while the others couldn't.

"How does he know our names" Edmund complained.

"I will explain that someday not now, we will meet again i promise, you have a big task to accomplish." James continued hearing the strange man's voice in his head. The voices echoed in his head. He could hear every word clearly.

"what task is that and why do you think i would help you" James replied.

James still could not control his body, his body was still hovering above them.

The strange man felt like there was not enough time and he started speaking to James (still using telepathy):

"Dear James and Edmund Theodore in control of this body, you were brought to this place for a reason, your job is to be the guide and protector of the Long Awaited Saviour, He needs protection, he is not able to fight them now, that is why you two meet, it is not a coincidence"

"Make sure to keep this to yourself, tell no one including his mom, Martha Edward, tell no one including Miller, keep this information to yourself, The whole multiverse depends on it. Miller is the Long Awaited Saviour, go and protect him".

And with those last words of the strange man inside James's head. A white light started coming out from his sack cloth and the white light covered the five of them present.

And when the light disappeared, the five of them present also disappeared with it.
