Claimed by my Guardian Angel.

Wanting to find answers about the disappearance of her roommate who hadn't returned back after entering the young Master Marcos room, Anna walked outside the Mansion to the backyard where Young Master Marcos often visits at midnight. She saw him standing with his hands tucked into his front pocket looking at the butler who was holding a shovel in his hand. He was digging a pit at the late hour of the night. "What are you--" Anna stumbled on her footsteps, making her fall on the ground. On hearing a female voice, Marcos turned around to see Anna standing near one of the graves holding a lantern. "What do you think I'm doing?" The corner of his lips tugged up with a cunning smile. "Burying a maid who refused to obey instructions." Anna took couple steps and she froze on that spot. Close to the butler was the dead body of her roommate! "Victoria!" "I told her to make me coffee and she made me tea instead." He put two and two together and his eyes went from her head to toe. "Maidens like you are supposed to be either on bed or working in the kitchen at this time. Anna what are you doing in the middle of the night all alone? Did you come here to seduce me again?" At his words, her face flushed with pink blush and she tried to avoid his gaze. "That is not true." As the butler was about to place the dead body into the grave, Marcos stopped him by raising his hand. "Find a way to dispose this body. We will be burying Anna instead." She felt her heart sink into her stomach at his words.

Chapter 33: Gates of hell

Anna looked at the black raven and began to walk towards it. She tried to shoo the raven off but it didn't move, making her think otherwise.

How did it get in here? She looked around the corridor to see that all the doors and windows were closed. There was no way it could have flew into here without someone trying to scare it away. Looking back to the raven, she saw how it began to tilt it's head to the side, making her brows furrowed.

She felt that the Mansion was not safe. People were right about how strange things are in here. Not to forget the first night when Elizabeth started to behave strange and was acting abnormal.

When she took another step closer, the bird flew off and she sighed. Just then, she felt a hand touch her and when she turned around, she saw Marcos.

She sighed. "You almost scared me." She held her chest, as her breathing slowly went back to normal.

"What are you doing here instead of working?" He asked.

"I.... I saw a raven sitting here. It looked really strange and when I tried to scare it off, he didn't fly. It was looking directly at me." She replied.

Marcos eyes moved to the railings and then back to Anna. "Get back to work."

She nodded her head and walked downstairs to the kitchen.

Walking towards the railings, Marcos touched the spot where the raven had sat a while ago. It was wet and there was a brownish liquid on it. He brought it closer to his nose to perceive. At the smell, he already knew who the raven is. It was a demon from hell. But how did the demon managed to escape from there?

The last time he checked, the gates of hell was closed and bound for any demons not to pass through.

For one thousand years, his father and some group of demons were the only demons who had escaped successful from hell. They lived in earth and acted like humans. But what he didn't understand was why the demon had come to the Mansion. Who even allowed it into the house? Demons could not step into your home unless invited in.

It must have been one of the maids who had allowed it to come in, Marcos thought.

And truly it was a maid who had allowed the demon into the house.

He quickly wiped off the surface of the railings with his handkerchief and walked to his brother's room.

Opening the door, he caught Lucian and a maid on the bed sleeping with each other. There were marks of bites on the maid's body and when she saw him, she quickly put on her dress and left the room.

"Charlotte would kill you if she catches you with her maid." Marcos said, turning to look at the maid who had become so white.

"She was fun." He licked the blood on his lips before putting on his dress.

"So what are you doing here?" Lucian asked.

"A demon is in this house." Marcos replied.

"A demon? How did it get in here?" Lucian stood up from the bed.

"The maid's must have invited it. But that's not why I'm here." He took a step closer to Lucian.

"You were once in hell. I was the one who put you in there and closed the gates. How did you managed to escape?" Marcos asked with a serious expression.

"Ohh brother." Lucian chuckled. "Let's not bring what happened years ago now."

"How were you able to escape? Tell me now?!" He seethed.

"Or what?" Lucian sized him up. "I'm never going to tell you. I will wait for the day when I am going to put a stake in your heart and then I will tell you everything. Now leave my room."

Just as the words left his mouth, Marcos grabbed his shirt and threw him against the wall.

"Who helped you escape! Tell me! How did you get out from hell?!" Marcos was fuming with hot rage.

Lucian stood up and with immortal speed, he pushed Marcos out of the room.

"I told you..... You can never be stronger than me. You wait for the day I will kill you and then I will tell you everything that happened." Without warning, he closed the door.

Marcos grounded his teeth with anger before walking away. He will need to summon an old friend, Alex
