Chapter 10

"Anyways, I am not that bothered about it. If Director Cartel calls you again, please relay my message that she does not need to apologize to me. It is not her fault that someone was taking advantage of her prestigious reputation."

"Are you okay with it?" Rissa asked. "You will be having a long reunion with that snake."

"I am fine. All in all, I just knew that since both of us are in the same circle, there will be a time where we will be a part of the same tv show or movie."

"Well, you are right about that." Rissa said as she let out a long sigh. "Anyways, do not worry too much about her. She can never be compared to the awesome you!"

Francheska let out a soft chuckle when she heard Rissa's opinion, but she did not say anything more and just asked her manager to help her remove her costume.

At exactly seven o'clock in the evening, Francheska arrived at a cocktail bar owned by one of her close friends. A female staff recognized her and lead her to the top room reserved for their small reunion tonight. When the female staff opened the room for her, Francheska was welcomed by loud and cheerful music. The three people inside looked at Francheska at the same time. All of a sudden, a female with short brown hair jumped on her like a predator and wrapped her slender arms around her.

"My goddess, you are finally here! I miss you so much! So where is my necklace?"

"Wendy, do you really miss me or you only want your gift from me?" Francheska asked with a raised brow.

"Of course, I miss you more! I would never dare to neglect my goddess!"

"But you just scolded me yesterday on the phone."

"You should have not taken it seriously." Wendy said while still acting like a spoiled child. "You know that I am your number one fan and the most loyal friend to you! It seems like you are my savior even in our past life that is why I am planning to devote my whole life to you."

"Kissing up." Cindy commented.

"Shut up!" retorted Wendy.

Cindy ignored Wendy and pulled Francheska to sit beside her.

"Do not mind that childish Wendy. So tell me, do you find any handsome guys while you are abroad?" Cindy eagerly asked as her reply.

"Well, yes. Most of them are models but I am sure they are par to your taste when it comes to men." Francheska said in a gossiping tone.

"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Do you have any photos of them? Let me see!" Cindy squealed.

"Flirt!" Wendy commented towards Cindy.

"Bootlicker!" Cindy fought back.

Francheska just arrived and these two were already bickering with each other. She threw a helpless look towards the man sitting at the corner while watching them silently. Leon, who noticed her stares, raised both of his hands and mouthing the words 'I am a gentleman.' to her. Shaking her head, Francheska decided to put an end to their bickering.

"Okay, ladies. That is enough. Let us bring back the peace inside this room once again. I also have my gifts to the three of you with me." Francheska said trying to attract the attention of her friends.

Francheska gave a small paper bag to Wendy, a medium-sized paper bag to Cindy, and a small box to Leon. Wendy excitedly opened the paper bag she was holding and when she saw the Black Pandora necklace, she can't help but happily hugged Francheska again.

"You really are the best, Cheska! You did not know how disappointed I am when I got run out of slots to buy this necklace! Thank you so much for this! You really make my day!" Cindy cheerfully fawned to her friend.

Inside the medium-sized paper bag is a set of albums from a handsome male singer in abroad. It was signed and every album has a short message for Cindy. Cindy can't help but squeal in delight after seeing Francheska's gift to her.

"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Danielle said he loves me! Look!" Cindy announced to her friends as she showed them the short message written on the album.

"Tch. It is just a fan service. Why are you so excited about it?" Wendy commented, but Cindy just ignored her.

As for Leon, Francheska prepared silver cufflinks with black onyx on them. Leon quickly gets his phone and snapped a photo of his gift. Then after that, he quickly posted it on his social media account. On his post, he put a caption 'A precious friend gave it to me. Will definitely use it tomorrow.' on it.

"Thanks for this, Cheska." Leon said with a smile.

"You're welcome!"

"But you do not have to bring us gifts, you know?"

"I know." Francheska said with a smile. "But I still want to give these to you guys. Besides, I've been away for a few months. Consider it as my apology gift for not contacting you three that much."

"Nah. We know you are busy." Leon said. "And who knows what the other will say if they know that you are spoiling us with your gifts? I am afraid that the next headline with be about you saying you are bribing us just to be your friends."

Francheska blinked her eyes twice before she lets out a laugh. Her? Bribing them with gifts? That is really impossible. How can she bribe these three just to become their friends? In fact, her lifestyle is not comparable to these three.

These three people beside her are not the typical ordinary friends that a person can have. Each of them has its own power and businesses that can surely make anyone tremble in fear.
