Prologue

In a typical American house, an elderly man drew his final breaths as he looked upon his family - two daughters, their spouses and his grandchildren.

"Are you going to die, Grandpa John?" said his grandson. John gave a dry laugh to that question while his children look upon him with a sad smile.

There are three major cities of the Numidian empire along with the royal capital, Siga. All of them are located on the coasts of the peninsula and house the majority of the empire's population. Siga is a beautiful coastal city in the southern tip of the empire. It is the most populous as well as the most prosperous city of the empire.

Most of the populace cultivate to some extent depending on their talent. Royals are supposed to be the most talented in the empire followed by various nobles. There were several outliers occasionally throughout the long history of the empire. However, most of them remained notable and distinct individuals as opposed to rebels who did not fare well against the forces of the empire.

The cultivation realms of this world are – Qi accumulation, Foundation establishment, Golden core and Nascent soul. Each of these realms are subdivided into 9 stages. Cultivators beyond the Nascent soul are said to be found only in the strongest of the empires and sects and any knowledge regarding them is sparse.
