Side Story: Great Red, The True Dragon Wingman
Deep within the skies above the Clash Continent, the crimson figure of a mighty True Dragon soared through the clouds. This was Great Red, the dragon of dreams, reality, and chaos. But these days, he was also something else: Leo's half-brother and an aspiring matchmaker.
Great Red lounged lazily on a cloud, idly snapping his fingers to manipulate the dreams of mortals below.
"Man, it's too boring here," he muttered to himself. "All this conquering, building, and scheming—Leo's missing the important stuff. Like romance!"
With a wicked grin, Great Red flexed his claws. "Time to spice things up!"
(Leo's Camp)
Leo, busy issuing commands to his wood clones and builders, suddenly felt a strange chill.
"Why do I feel like someone's meddling in my life?" he muttered.
"Probably your imagination," replied Gran, the Master Builder.
Meanwhile, in their respective tents, both Shizu and Hinata were preparing to rest after a long day. Neither suspected the chaos about to unfold.
!Shizu's Dream)
Shizu found herself standing in a meadow of flowers, dressed in a gorgeous bridal gown. She looked down to see Leo, of all people, standing nervously in a formal suit, holding a bouquet of roses.
"Uh... what's going on here?" she asked aloud.
"Oh, don't be so dense!" a deep, booming voice echoed in her mind.
Shizu spun around, only to see a massive crimson dragon sitting behind her. Great Red gave her a toothy grin, showing her sharp teeth that were larger than Shizu herself.
"Who—what—?"
"It's me, Great Red! Leo's awesome older brother and your personal Cupid! Also the largest true dragon."
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Look, you're wasting time," Great Red huffed. "Leo likes you, you like Leo, and you'd make adorable babies. So just say yes and smooch already!"
Shizu's face turned beet red. "I don't—this is ridiculous!"
"Fine," Great Red said, puffing crimson fire. "Don't regret it."
With a snap of his claws, the scene shifted. Now Shizu was surrounded by a dozen energetic children, each with a mix of her and Leo's features.
"Mommy! Mommy!" they cried, tugging at her sleeves.
Shizu's heart melted despite herself. She tried to stay composed, but the warmth in her chest was undeniable.
Great Red leaned in closer, whispering conspiratorially, "Just imagine all the fun family dinners with me as the cool uncle."
(Hinata's Dream)
At the same time, Hinata found herself in a surreal dreamscape where she was sparring against Leo.
"Is that all you've got, Hinata?" Leo teased, dodging her strikes with a grin.
"Stop playing around!" she barked, her blade aiming for his shoulder.
Before she could land a hit, the scene froze. A massive red dragon's head popped into the dream.
"Boring!" Great Red declared, his voice making the dream world tremble.
Hinata froze mid-strike. "Who—what is this?!"
"It's me, Great Red! Matchmaker extraordinaire and Leo's favorite big bro even though he doesn't know it. Seriously, you people are slow."
"Wait... you're related to Leo?"
"More or less," Great Red said, waving his claw dismissively. "That's not the point. The point is you're wasting precious flirting time!"
"What?!" Hinata's face warmed up.
Great Red snapped his claws, and suddenly Hinata was standing at an altar in a wedding gown, Leo beside her, looking incredibly smug.
"I object!" she yelled instinctively.
"It's your own wedding, genius!" Great Red sighed, exasperated. "You've got this whole tsundere-tomboy thing going on, but come on, just admit it—you like the guy."
Hinata crossed her arms. "Even if I did, I'm not sharing him with someone else."
"Oh, so you're jealous of Shizu, huh?" Great Red teased, his voice dripping with amusement. "Don't worry, I've got a solution!"
With another snap, the scene shifted. Now Hinata and Shizu were sitting at a family table, surrounded by a horde of children calling them "Mommy" and "Auntie."
Hinata groaned. "This is ridiculous."
"Admit it, it's cute!" Great Red grinned, his tail wagging like an overexcited puppy.
"And a Lyros doesn't stop at a few children." Great Red said proudly.
?Leo's Camp)
The next morning, Leo noticed both Hinata and Shizu acting... off. Shizu kept glancing at him with a faint blush, while Hinata avoided eye contact altogether, her usual coldness tinged with awkwardness.
"What's with them?" Leo whispered to Gran.
"No idea," he replied, scratching his head with a hammer.
From a distance, Great Red watched the chaos unfold with satisfaction.
"Operation Wingman: Success!" he declared, puffing out his chest. "Now to figure out how to get them to admit it. Maybe I should try reality manipulation next time..."
And with that, the mischievous True Dragon soared off into the skies, already plotting his next scheme.
