(Shizu Izawa PoV)
Heinz informed her about some anomaly happening in the forest, normally it would be dismissed as the work of a monster but Heinz told me it was a different case this time and she trusted her friend's information so she decided to look for it since there was no one else capable of handling it if it turned out to be a monster, the aura felt there indicated it would be no less than A rank and Blumund didn't have many individuals that can deal with it.
She went towards the Great Jura Forest, the domain of Storm Dragon Veldora; for a long time, it had served as a buffer zone, mitigating confrontation between countries. It was inhabited by Storm Dragon Veldora and had been his territory for centuries. Under the influence of his magical energy, the forest expanded and grew to cover a vast amount of land.
The Kingdom of Blumund was one of the 'unlucky' nations to have its borders shared with the Great Jura Forest.
As she approached the forest, she felt that the area was quiet and peaceful. Any other time, she would have a sense of foreboding, but strangely, it felt peaceful; for the first time in her life since she was summoned, she truly felt at home, but she didn't dare to relax her guard.
As Shizu approached the abandoned village, her senses heightened, detecting the powerful aura emanating from within. Her hand instinctively wrapped around the hilt of her sword, prepared for a potential confrontation.
As Shizu entered the village, her gaze fell upon two figures clashing swords in the center of the clearing. Their sparring session seemed out of place amidst the abandoned homes and overgrown vegetation. Shizu's interest piqued, she approached the duo, her senses on high alert.
The boy's aura struck her first – surprisingly potent, rivaling her own. Yet, her instincts whispered caution. If she allowed Ifrit, her inner spirit, to take control, the battle would still be fraught with uncertainty. Something about the boy and his companion didn't add up.
Their attire, for starters, was unlike anything Shizu had seen in this world. The boy's swordsmanship, while impressive, lacked finesse, relying heavily on brute force. His techniques were unrefined, but his raw power and endurance made up for it. Shizu's eyes narrowed; this boy wasn't trained in the traditional styles of this world.
The girl, on the other hand, seemed to be weak, but her movements were better than the boy's; it looked more like she was improving the boy's movements and replicating them. Her aura was far less intense than the boy's, but her skill was unmistakable.
Shizu observed, intrigued by their sparring.
As the boy landed a particularly forceful blow, sending the girl stumbling back, Shizu intervened.
"Enough," she said, her voice firm but controlled.
The duo turned, startled, their eyes locking onto Shizu's imposing figure.
"Who are you?" the boy asked his sword still at the ready.
"I am Shizu Izawa," she replied, her gaze lingering on their unusual clothing. "And you two are...?"
The boy hesitated before responding, "I'm Leo, and this is Hinata. We're... travelers."
Shizu's experience told that there was more to their story. She sensed the weight of their auras, the unspoken strength and potential.
"Travelers, perhaps," Shizu said, her smile kind. "But from where, and with what purpose?"
She had a guess who these two were but she didn't explicitly reveal respecting their caution.
"So, how can I help you, Miss Shizu?" Leo asked politely.
"I am here looking for a magicule disturbance in the forest, do you..." She noticed how the girl Hinata instinctively stepped behind, her eyes calculating, but her poker face still needed to work; Leo didn't react much except with a look of understanding, probably due to his confidence, or it had to do something with his coat or the katana "know anything about it?"
She still asks already guessing the reason.
Leo 'tried' to send thought communication to the Hinata girl without alerting her, tried because she was skilled enough to detect it.
Seeing their cautiousness, she gave a good-natured comment: "This cautiousness is good, likely save your life someday." She took off her mask.
Strangely, the Leo boy looked somehow troubled. Was she weird-looking, or did her age affect her looks? The boy likely could not know about Ifrit, did he?
Though the girl seemed surprised, probably due to the similarity, the girl was probably Japanese-like herself; the name and looks didn't say otherwise.
Leo is not Japanese for sure maybe an American? However, she still couldn't find how the boy was perfectly able to speak the world's language.
(Hinata PoV)
She did not sense her presence until she removed her weird mask; she would have been much more shocked if not for Leo informing her earlier that someone was coming in their direction, someone more powerful than him.
During the sparring session, she knew one thing Leo was a force to be reckoned while his swordsmanship was more like hitting with brute force than precision her hand would likely be broken if he didn't heal her with holy magic something she wanted to learn immediately, she copied his movements and improved them with her skills.
She also decided to tell a little bit about her skills, normally she wouldn't have told anyone about it but she didn't know why she had the urge to tell him, and she would have regretted it if Leo hadn't gladly let her copy some of his skills though they were more like spells though she was only able to copy his low-level spells and that was when he allowed it.
But she wasn't able to use most of them due to the absurd magicules they used, probably the reason Leo also didn't use them.
(Note: He didn't need to)
But the Barbarian Arts, something from his previous world, was good. Though she felt like it was not for her, it was better than nothing. With her skills, she could easily switch her style.
Back to the present, the woman named Shizu Izawa, her name sparked a sense of familiarity, probably due to it being Japanese, and she also looked like one.
[Should I tell her about you or not? She most likely knows from what I can guess. She probably also knows that I am using thought communication right now.]
And he was right. She knew it from what she said, so to confirm something, I tried to speak in Japanese, and she replied in Japanese too, but it was old Japanese. Maybe she is older than she looks?
"So you are a stray Otherworlder, too." She likely had guessed it as she didn't seem surprised.
"Is there Japan here?" I ask curiously; that is probably the reason she knew it; otherwise, why would one bother learning a language that no one uses? I also wanted to ask what a stray Otherworlder is; Leo only talked about Otherworlders. There are different kinds of them, huh?
"No, I am also an Otherworlder, summoned Otherworlder to be exact." She said.
"Stray and Summoned Otherworlders what is the difference?" She asked.
"Stray Otherworlders are otherworlders that arrive by sheer accident. There is no clear cause or pattern known for why these strays are drawn to the central world through dimensional cracks that spontaneously open in other worlds," she said and continued to tell about Summoned Otherworlders.
And from Shizu-san she learned that.
Summoned are the most common type of otherworlder, brought over through summoning rituals. In the process of crossing worlds, the summoned is exposed to a large concentration of magicules dense enough to kill any normal human. Only those who bear a strong soul and mind can endure the strain of the journey.
From the massive energy taken in by the summoned, Unique skills and other special abilities are born as a response to their desires. With these mouth-watering powers and a strong body that no human can achieve without undergoing grueling training, otherworlders became highly sought after by human nations to serve as a weapon against monsters and are also employed as bodyguards for nobles and royalty. For this reason, a locking curse is placed on the soul of the summoned to prevent them from fleeing or attacking their summoners.
She couldn't help but feel lucky she gained the benefits of summoned Otherworlders without the risks of being enslaved; probably that is why Leo said that our kind is known for being notoriously weak, though we are obvious exceptions.
*Ahm "Oh, there was Leo too; I almost forgot he was here despite my senses, and even Shizu-san looked the same.
"Since you now know about all this, can you help us?" Leo asked politely.
Shizu-san smiled, nodding, "I can help you, you can become adventurers my friend is a Guildmaster in Blumund of Adventures Association, Hinata has a lot of potential"
She then turns towards Leo
"and Leo, if I am not wrong, you have spent some time here, so I don't think you are interested in becoming an adventurer. You would have become one easily if you wanted with your strength." She says with some confusion now that I think it was suspicious.
Leo awkwardly scratches as he says "I don't exactly want to put people on high alert if someone with my strength randomly pops out of nowhere, and I don't want to be kept under surveillance, so..." He trailed off, he made a good point though they could not do anything to him considering he is strong, probably because he is a good person and doesn't want to disrupt the balance of power.
If Leo knew her thoughts, then he would choke on his spit; it was just a lame excuse. He just didn't have time to register as an adventure. After all, it was only a couple of days since he arrived at the Magic continent.
(Leo)
Shizu didn't seem to be convinced but didn't show it "But you can't go on like that your strength will only increase in the future and it will cause even more ruckus then since you don't want to register as an adventurer which is a wise choice I would say considering the fatality rate of this profession."
Yeah since Yuuki is probably in Eastern nations with Kagali or Kazalim inside him, he is yet to become Shizu's student and soon-to-be Guildmaster, I will try to avoid that guy.
Hinata seemed surprised by the fact that adventurers had such a high fatality rate, she probably was thinking about becoming one.
"Your strength is good but your skills are very poor." Shizu doesn't hold back a metaphorical arrow pierces my chest as I dramatically clutch my chest.
Both Hinata and Shizu stifle a laugh as Shizu compliments Hinata "You have an amazing potential your swordsmanship is WAY better than him but it is not suitable for you." Hinata looks smugly at me.
'Why are you looking at me like that? Just wait once the barrier collapses and I receive my Unique skills I will show you who is daddy. Hmph.'
"But you both are still very poor in skills compared to truly skilled people here, so why don't you guys become my students? I may not look like but I am pretty strong and becoming my student will grant you some privileges too."
She extends her offer with good intentions.
She really is a kind woman makes me feel even more sad about what happened to her in the future, if it was not for my nature as a divine being I would have suspected that she has some other intentions but she genuinely wants to help us.
Maybe Shizu was about to retire as an adventurer and transition into teaching, especially since the power she drew from Ifrit was becoming increasingly difficult to control.
"Why would you want to help us? We're just strangers, aside from being Otherworlders," Hinata asked, doubt evident in her voice.
"You may not believe me, and I understand why, but I see immense potential in both of you—potential that could surpass even my own. Someone did the same for me in the past and asked me to pay it forward," Shizu explained, glancing at Hinata. I suspected it was about time hero Chronoa.
Hinata relaxed a bit at Shizu's words, and I nodded in agreement.
"Then please take care of us, Shizu-sensei," Hinata said, bowing respectfully.
Shizu turned her gaze to me, a playful glint in her eyes. "What about you, Leo-kun? Don't you want to accept me as your Sensei?" she teased.
I sighed "You don't look much older than me so why would I call you sensei, hmph."
Shizu chuckled "Looks can be deceiving you know Leo-kun."
Time to show my honed skills "But if my intuition is right which is always right you are both beautiful from inside and outside so why do we settle at our first names?"
And whoa it looks like my charm worked a little, I think but before I could latch the opportunity Hinata stomped on my foot and said "You can't talk to our sensei like that."
I looked at Hinata feeling betrayed but I didn't get any chance as Shizu chided "You are going to be punished, Leo, once we reach Blumund why you will call me your teacher?"
Well, the teacher is less embarrassing than calling her sensei but I think I will enjoy teasing Shizu and to some extent Hinata so "You can try Shizu-chan~~" I turn towards Hinata "What are you smiling like that you tomboy-chan." Be proud Hinata I always had a thing for strong girls.

Well the last part is nothing main if you like it, it is good if you don't I will try to look for another path to get Shizu in the Harem, I already have a plan how to save her without stealing Rose/Rimure's [Degenerate] we are going fem slime route and the human version before reincarnating would be a virgin milf office workers or a normal female office worker+otaku it would be seen in future.
Sorry for the chapter.
I am writing another fan fic so that I don't get broed writing current one.
It is a Minecraft and Marvel fanfic, very similar but WAY better than Herobrine in Marvel (HIM) personal opinion.
