The Other Alpha

Scott and Lucas hurried back to Cory as fast as they could, like lightning tracing the sky. At this rate, Scott walked with celerity not minding the people he bumped to just to get back to Cory. He certainly believed that they were diverted to be lead astray from Diana's true location. Blinded with his strong will of finding her immediately, he wasn't able to analyze Gunner's true intentions.

Strained from the tensed moment earlier and focused on chasing his Luna, the loud sounds became blurry to where only his breathing became audible. The muffled voices of the people singing, laughing and chatting were out of earshot as he walk his way out of the campsite.

Inching closer to the passage towards the rough road where Cory is parked, Scott stopped without looking when he sensed an interesting scent.

"Heyy what's the hold up??", Lucas was startled as he hit Scott's back from stopping abruptly.

"Leaving too soon?", a voice of a woman under a brown cloak suddenly spoke, who's seated beneath the yellow light of a hanging lantern.

The two wolves turned their gaze to the woman hiding under her garment. "Do you know her?", Lucas whispered.

"You're the other Alpha?", the woman asked. "The Luna is such a pretty, young thing.. No wonder two great Alphas are bewildered at her extraordinary beauty", she added.

"What do you know?", Scott asked.

"Heh. I know where your Luna is", the woman said exposing her clasped hands under the light. "I can help you", she added.

"Why would you help me? Let me guess.. you're not going to tell me easily", Scott wondered. "And… what is it for a Sigma wolf like you? You must be Oli", Scott said.

"I'm impressed. Your senses are stronger compared to other Alphas.", amazed with how Scott recognized her from her scent, and not by her scars. Oli removed her cloak showing herself to the two wolves of the Grayback Clan. "From here, I can hear your thoughts. Diana really does have a compelling beauty, taming Alphas to learn self-control. Yours is exceptional, It's not everyday I find an Alpha who's ardent to see his Luna, and at the same time, way too docile by her side", she added.

"I asked, why would you help me?", Scott asked in confusion disregarding her remarks as he go straight to the point. Engaging in more unecessary conversations allow him to elapse time unproductively, delaying to find his Luna. And the more time he wastes, the farther Roman takes Diana away.

Oli smirked at Scott's arrogance and emergence. "Why do all Alphas have one thing in common? Listen, I'm not helping you.. I'm helping my son.", Oli answered as she stood up. Scott didn't uttered a word, but Oli replied like he did. "Yes. I'm his mother.. A friend of mine saw visions of my son, being imprinted on a Luna with eyes like sapphire, and as blue as the open sea.. According to his visions, the girl will arrive in this town after the red-tainted moon appears in the sky.. my son will be drowned in greed, power.. and addiction to her scent resulting to his own death.", Oli said. "However, there's another Alpha who imprinted first on the girl.. the Alpha who needs her the most", she added.

"I refused to believe in Dolphus' visions.. Then, when the Blood Moon owned the stellar sky the other night, I gasped in denial seeing how the moon was tainted in red. And today, I stared at her blue eyes glistening even in the dark.. The prophecy of Dolphus Crumbe was brought to life. And all I need to do, is find the other Alpha who would take the Luna away from my son", Oli said.

"Where are they now?", Scott asked.

"They just left. They are headed to the Valley of the Falls.", Oli revealed.

"That place is..", Lucas uttered.

"The home of the werewolves", as Scott completed his sentence. "Why would they go there?", Scott gritted his teeth.

"His father lives there, as soon as he turned to a werewolf", Oli replied. "Time is running, you better go. Tick, tock, tick tock", Oli replied as she grinned.

Scott grunted in irritation. He left without a word, while Lucas waved goodbye to Oli. A few more steps from the campsite, they saw the car still parked in the middle of road with Cory nowhere to be found.

Scott and Lucas looked around spotting Cory When they saw him running from the higher ground. Panting heavily, Cory who looked like hell hurriedly ran towards the two wolves saying, "I know where they are! Someone's going to help us het to her".

"What happened to you?", Lucas asked as he gaze at Cory from head to toe.

"I'll explain later", Cory answered.

The three wolves hopped in the car, while Cory started the ignition. Lucas gasped when someone familiar startled him by appearing in the car window. "Hi Boys!", Christina exclaimed. Lucas widened his eyes in surprise, as Scott hardened his face at the sight of her.

"About that.. she's the one who'll help us.. and uhh.. she offered some help too Alpha. She said, she knew where exactly to go", Cory explained as he smiled awkwardly to Scott.

"First of all. I know you are all not happy to see me. Trust me, The feeling is mutual. But, seeing Cory get beat up by a bunch of Black Creek Mutts, how can I just watch?", Christina said peeking in the open car window at Lucas' side.

"What are you doing here?!", Lucas asked.

"I heard there's a party.. and that the Alpha of this clan imprinted on a weird.. ugly she-wolf. So.. I came by to meet her. Surprisingly… I was right about her being ugly", Christina said.

"You always put your nose in other people's businesses", Scott said. "On the ugly part..I'm sorry were you referring to yourself?", he added.

"I'm sure she is", Lucas said.

"You never change huh? Anyway, you will be needing me tonight. I know where he took her.. you don't have to worry about me still having feelings for you.. I already imprinted", Christina said. "So what? Are we just going to talk here? Or you guys are going to let me in?", Christina asked as she pouts her lips.

After a long pause, Scott eventually found the words to say. "Make sure you're not telling lies", he said as Christina opened the car door and hopped in the car.

EARLIER

It has been a few minutes since Scott and Lucas went down the car to look for Diana. Parked in the middle of the road, Cory was vigilant and sensitive on all the movements and sounds occuring around.

He then decided to get down the car and circle the surrounding quietly. While walking in the rough terrain, his feet was led through the trees and dark bushes until he hears someone knocking violently.

Peeking out from the bushes, he saw a black trailer home parked in the woods alone with a familiar voice of a woman shouting to open the door. "Luna..", Cory whispered as he check the area if it's guarded. Then, he slowly and cautiously approached the trailer.

Right when he was about to creep up the door, he felt a big hand strangled him from his nape and threw him backwards. "Where are you going, punk?", a man twice the size of Cory appeared as he block the door.

Cory crouched down and darkened his eyes. "Let the Luna go", he said.

The large man with a long beard smirked and attacked Cory, as the latter swiftly dodge and was able to land farther from him. "You can't hurt me, we have a pact", Cory said.

"Pacts don't apply if we won't shapeshift", the man replied as two more shirtless men appeared on the side.

Cory gritted his teeth as he prepare for battle. "Alright then, I'll finish you all one by one", Cory said as he leap and attacked one of the men. Cory successfully landed a combination of heavy punches on the man's jaw fatally hurting him before attacking another one.

His hand was grabbed as he was pinned down by the large long-bearded man. Receiving a few kicks, Cory groaned from pain as he grab the man's foot twisting it simultaneously with his body locking it on the ground. While in this position, another man attacked Cory by kicking his torso letting go of the man he pinned down. Getting beat up by the two men, Cory fought with all his might when suddenly a brown wolf appeared growling and snarling at the two men.

Afraid to break the pact, they backed up and ride the trailer home driving out. The wolf caught a glimpse of the woman inside the trailer, she shifted to her human form and said.. "Diana?!".
