The Girl Was Me

"However.. on the first full moon, that bastard fatally injured me leaving me fighting for my life", Alva showed her scar on her right arm. She grazed it with her fingers as she closed her eyes. "A lycan's poison is fatal to any creature. Whether it's a single scratch or a ravishing bite, cursed or not, it can kill anyone instantly.", she added.

"You got a taste of your own medicine.", Diana replied with a smirk.

"I did..", Alva scoffed. "And with only a few days to survive, I reviewed all the papyrus writings left for me that I never read. I made several trials that failed me. I struggled with life until I found the cure. I needed an innocent child as a vessel to carry the healing properties my wounds require. A child who haven't come of age, because its blood isn't resistant to dark magic. However, not a single child survived the mutation.", Alva walked closer to Diana.

"A day before the poison would own my entire body, Daniel knocked on my door with a dying girl in his arms. I even thought the girl had no chance of surviving, for she gained terrible wounds from a lycan's attack. Thinking about it, knowing Daniel almost killed me before, and has been constantly hunting me down, his desperation became a perfect time for me to get back at him. I saw how his heart broke for the dying little girl, who haven't come of age yet.", Alva grazed Diana's cheek with her finger as Diana flinched.

"You're a monster. How could you gamble a poor girl's life with your personal desires??", Diana glared

at Alva realizing she decided to use the girl's body to become a vessel of her healing properties.

"The girl was dying anyway!", she answered with a sinister smile. "Miraculously, the little girl survived. She's really strong even at her most vulnerable state.", Alva added.

"The girl was me", Diana whispered.

"Your body reacted to my spells, supressing the wolf within you, and healing the wounds with a lycan's poison. Later, I found out that your blood could also mask and suppress the nature of other creatures. Simply amazing and worth keeping", Alva revealed . "I was a bit surprised though, that even if your wolf is suppressed, a wolf imprinted on you. And of all people, Scott Lockwood. What a lucky scoundrel", she said.

"I guess you can't keep the wolf in me", Diana replied with a sarcastic soft chuckle.

"A true Alpha indeed", Alva replied with a pout. "Daniel was furious when he found out later. All I can do was laugh about it. I just made his daughter extra special, what's wrong with that?", Alva added with an awkward laugh.

"Extra special? You turned me into something that you could only make use of, and became the guilt for the curse you place upon the Lockwoods. You kept me beside you because you wanted Viktor and Karin to beg in front of you for the cure within my veins. And to top it all, you took my innocent life away. The life as a wolf where I truly belong", Diana said as she gritted her teeth.

"Tell me Diana, if I didn't saved you that night.. when you were all curled up wincing in pain, with your physician of a father who doesn't even know how to save his delirious daughter.. will I still be the villain? Have you looked at yourself and thought of where you are today? If not for me, you are nothing but a dead puppy six feet under the ground", Alva glared at Diana as her eyes turn honey-gold.

"I'd rather die than to be taken advantage of", Diana replied with much conviction.

Alva clicked her tongue and replied, "Not just yet". She fixed her hair as she put her hands in her pockets.

"This form, how did you took my mother's form?", Diana asked as she take a good look on Alva's physique from head to toe.

"One night, I heard the howling of a deathly lycan running through the forest. When I come about, I followed the sound of a crying child. Then I saw you alongside your mother's lifeless body on the ground. It was then I took the dead woman's form and let the child come with me.. my perfect creation", Alva said.

"Where's my father now?", Diana asked.

"The hell I care with that coward. He disappeared and never saw him ever again", Alva replied.

Diana swallowed a lump in her throat. Considering her father is alive, she have more reasons to get out of this place and find him. "So, a drop of my blood can cut Scott's curse?", Diana asked.

"No, Diana.. All the blood in your veins will cut the curse.", Alva answered. "The death of the Luna, remember?", she smirked at Diana who's tremblin in anger. "A drop of your blood will just.. suppress not only the lycan within, but also the wolf in him", Alva replied as she squinted her eyes.

"I remember, you cured me in the woods from the lycan's scratch?", Diana wondered.

"No, You healed on your own.", Alva answered.

"But you said a few words, and..", Diana widened her eyes in shock.

"Yes, to make the wound bleed some more. It was nearly closing. I was just taking your blood for my own supply", Alva exhaled sharply.

"How about Sebastian?", Diana asked.

"I healed that wolf Sebastian with your blood. It was just something I did for you.", Alva said as she folded her arms.

'For me?', Diana thought. She then remembered the times how Alva have always protected her, gave her a world to conquer, and even taught her how to stand on her own feet. A tough affection that made her feel loved and supported.

Wasn't it love? Was any of it true?

"Did you ever saw me as a daughter?", Diana asked as she looked straight into Alva eyes. Alva was caught off guard as she felt her lips trembled.

Even without an answer, Diana understood the darkle and dullness in Alva's eyes. "You healed Sebastian but killed Calvin who have worked with you for so many years?", Diana pointed out that she would eventually end up like Calvin sooner or later when she is of no advantage for Alva.

"I never liked that old man. He's too human for a vampire. Calvin is full of strong desires to be human once again, when he already have power and strenght. I only needed him to find his Creator", Alva replied as she walk out the door. She stopped halfway and turned around to see Diana in the middle of a red circle.

"Speaking of which, you know Diana, now that Claudia is here as a very important guest. I would like you to do the honors to tame her.", Alva flicked her hand and a transparent force field appeared lining the red circle surrounding Diana. "Thanks for coming home, daughter.," Alva said as she watch Diana get bewildered as she look around.

Then, Diana heard someone moving fast and breathing heavily in the dark. Her heart started to race faster as she clench her fist. Then, her eyes widen at the sight of a blonde woman with a pair of lustrous red eyes.

"I will eat you alive and you will suffer an exteemely painful death", Claudia threatened as she leaped directly at Diana.

Diana quickly ran away as she fell down on her back when she hit the force field. She stood back up and darkened her eyes. Once again, she felt something hot coming from inside of her, as her skin become tight, while tasting metal in her mouth. It's like something from inside wants to come out.

Claudia swiftly moved across the room appearing in front of Diana. And with one move, she strangled Diana with one hand and tossed her across the round entrapment where Alva was standing, watching in astonishment.

Diana gasped in pain as she spit blood from her mouth. She tried to get up but Claudia violently grabbed her by her shoulders. Then, she felt Claudia's sharp fangs sunk in her bare neck. Diana winced and screamed in pain as she wriggle from the deadly grip of Claudia.

In a few seconds, Claudia dropped Diana, gasping for air. She breathe heavily as she knelt on the ground.

Diana sat nearby and held her bleeding neck as she watch the original vampire with immeasurable strength turn to a human. Whimpering, she could only watch in fear then she glared at Alva.

"Don't be such a cry baby, Diana. It was just a small bite", Alva said as crouch down meeting Diana's eyes.
