Ch 16:Return

It took Yang feng nearly 10 days to get back to the Capital City. When he arrived at the gate there were many people in the line, waiting to go inside the city. Yang feng not wanting to wait in the long line directly came to the front to showed the yang family token he had with himself to the guard.

"Hey kid, get back in the line. Young people these days don't even know what's best for them." But before he could show the guard his token, a middle aged man waiting in the line said angrily to him, yang feng ignored the man and walked forward.

The man seeing this was angered and yelled,"hey kid! I'm talking to you."

Yang feng still didn't stop and called the guard, the man unable to contain his anger and humiliation, as the others in the line were looking at him mockingly, went forward towards yang feng and punched towards him," kid, I'll teach you some manners because your useless parents didn't seemed to teach you."

The next thing that happened was too fast for anyone to see, as at once the man was attacking a young boy and the other, the man was on the ground with both of his hands and arms broken and twisted a weird directions, with the young boy stepping on the man's face.

"Keep your mouth shut if you don't know to whom you are talking too.", yang feng said coldly to the man. He looked towards the guard, who came while the man was going to attack him, and threw him the token.

The guard upon seeing the token, hurriedly bowed and saluted yang feng, allowing him to pass. All this was seen by the crowd and the man who became white as a sheet seeing the guard being so respectfull towards the youth.

After entering the city, Yang Feng did not linger around and directly went towards his family courtyard. Many were looking at him when he was going towards the yang clans area, especially women, although he looked to be about 12 he was really good looking and would surely grow more handsome when he grows up.

When he reached his family's courtyard he heard voices talking inside his house. He went and knocked on the door, after a moment the door was opened by his maid 'Ling'er'. She was greatly surprised to see him and would have screamed if he had not stopped her.

He slowly went inside the house towards the place, the voices were coming from and came upon a scene of his father, mother and brother sitting with two more kids. When he saw them he immediately recognized them as Dong Qing Han and Dong Qing Yan.

Concealing his presence to the minimum, he went behind his mother who did not notice him till now, and covered her eyes with his hands. Dong Su Zhu and the others, except his father who had sensed him coming into the room, were surprised. Dong Su did not panick as she knew that no one uninvited can enter her house, without her knowing.

It took her only a moment, when she suddenly turned around and hugged him tightly," Feng'er!, you are finally back!". He smiled at his mother's enthusiasm and greeted the others in the room. His father seemed to want to say something, and after hesitating for a moment said," your mother was really worried when you didn't come back after two years outside and only calmed down when she saw your life jade still intact."

The life jades were something yang feng made using an array on a jade, the jade would break after the death of the one it is connected to. Yang feng smiled at his father knowing that it was he who was worried and but didn't want to say it. After his mother had let him go from her hug, he meet with his brother and cousins.

Everyone sat down on the dining table, where they ate their meal and exchanged stories. Yang feng also told everyone about his adventures and experience, but only told about the easy parts. After eating and spending some time with them the dong siblings left, leaving the family of 4 alone.

Once they were alone, his family looked at him pointedly but did not say anything. He knew what they wanted but he was too tired to tell them how he had spent his time in the past three years. So he yawned and stood up from the place he was sitting and without letting them say anything left towards his room saying," we'll talk tomorrow, I still need to sleep after 10 days of continuous traveling."

After realizing that they had been too rushed to know about his training and overlooked the fact that he came back in a hurry without proper sleep, they didn't try to ask him about it again for today and let him rest.

Entering his room that looked the same as he had left it, he closed the door and laid down on his bed. As soon as he laid down on his bed, the exhaustion, of the recent travel, the time he spent in the forest and from how he had to be always on alert, consumed him. Letting him sleep with a peace of mind for the first time in three years.

Outside the door, his father and mother looked at him through their divine sense. Relived that he came back safe and sound. After looking for a while they turned and left, letting the boy rest.

The next morning when he wokeup, he felt reinvigorate. He had, after three years, slept soundly without a care of his surroundings and on constant look out of a monster beast sneak attacking him.

Since he had entered the inner area of the forest, his time there was mostly spent either fighting or surviving. His battle sense has grow to a terrifying degree compaired to his non-existent one.

~Flashback Starts~

After his breakthrough to the initial Element Realm, he thought long and hard on how to improve himself in the said realm. He was not able to come up with a suitable method for a few months but he didn't stop his cultivation. After he had reached the 7th stage initial Element Realm and came up with the idea of compressing his yuan qi.

But the problem was that he can not just compress it as he likes, or everyone would just do that. As he was wreaking his mind to find any type of sample, from the novels he had read in his previous life, of a technique that allows him to do that.

He suddenly felt a shift in his mind palace. As he entered it, he was stunned to see a Qi compressing technique that will compress the amount of Qi in his body to be more pure and more robust till it cannot be compressed again in the said realm.

After reading the technique thoroughly his excitement grew to unimaginable degree not only because of the technique, but also because he seems to have found a loophole in one of his wishes.
