A Day At The Orphanage

As I observe Alysdair I am determined to recruit him to my agency. Ha! Ha!

"Come, little Evie, let's follow Alysdair around. He knows everyone in the orphanage." Wymund tugged my hand.

"Ok brother," I replied.

"So this is the dining area. Everyone eats here together during meals."

Whoa! The dining area is very spacious. How many kids lived here? As we walk near the kitchen, I sniff a delicious smell.

"It must be Sister Alice. She knows you will come, so she's making her special strawberry cake." Alysdair said while peeking inside the door.

"Yes, little Evie! I have tasted sister Alice's special strawberry cake. It tastes heavenly." Wymund said while licking his lips.

"Now let's go to the classroom area. Some big kids are still attending their lessons."

This place is huge. Maybe my mom and the other donors helped a lot so that they can take care of more children.

Even in a magical place like this world, poverty still exists. If I have the power someday, I hope I can help more abandoned or neglected children. I could see hope in these kid's eyes.

Hope that they can achieve more in life.

While I was thinking I haven't realized that we are in front of a door. Alysdair knocked on it.

"Tok. Tok."

An old woman opened the door.

"Hello, Alysdair. What can I help you with?" She asked.

"Hello, Lady Martha. Have you finished your class? I would like to show Wymund's little sister around."

"Oh! Sorry for not noticing soon. Welcome young master. Young miss." She saluted.

"It's okay Lady Martha. We are just showing little Evie around. Have you finished your class?" Wymund inquired.

"Yes, young master, I am already done with today's class." She got back inside and gestured us to enter.

"Now everyone, that's all for today. We have a visitor right now." She announced.

When we entered, the first thing I noticed was a red-haired boy with a face saying "boring" all over it.

When he noticed I was looking intently at him, he was shocked and move his eyes away from me.

"Everyone you already know, Young Master Wymund. The one beside him is Young Miss Evangeline." She introduced.

"But you can call her little Evie," Wymund said.

"Hello Little brother Wymund, is this the little sister you and Iskender told us?"

A boy asks Wymund. Maybe he is around Iskender's age. Their height is also similar.

"Yes, Big brother Troy. This is little Evie." Wymund responded.

"She's very beautiful Wymund." A brunette girl came forward.

"Can I call you little sister?" She asks me.

"Yes." I replied.

"Wahhh!! You're so cute. Now I understand the smug look Iskender has when he talks about you. By the way, you can call me big sister Hannah." She said and pinched my cheeks.

"C'mon now. Let's go to the dining area to eat our lunch." Lady Martha announced.

I saw the red-haired kid's eyes following me. Is he observing me? I looked into his eyes and smiled at him. His face suddenly turned red. Nice reaction! I think his a bit tsundere.
