Hong Xiaochen smelled the aroma and was startled for a moment. She cautiously got out of bed, tiptoed to the bedroom door, and peeked through a crack. Only when she saw it was Chu Nan in the kitchen did she let out a sigh of relief, close the door, and change her clothes.
Once breakfast was ready, Chu Nan just happened to see Hong Xiaochen come out of her room, so he called out, "Dumb Girl, come and eat something."
"Mm, in a minute," Hong Xiaochen opened her mouth, surprisingly not objecting to being called "Dumb Girl," and after washing up, she quietly sat down at the dining table.
Staring at the millet porridge and a few side dishes on the table, Hong Xiaochen was puzzled, "Where did all this stuff come from? Did you get up early to go to the market to buy groceries?"
