Second Choice

At the same time, Mo Zhexi was lying on the bed thinking about Xu Wenwen.

He still hadn't progress anything with Xu Wenwen. It's almost two months. They still had one month left before he could successfully make her fall for him.

He was getting more anxious as days went by. He hadn't spend a lot of time with Xu Wenwen after Lu Jingyi was hospitalized.

He respected Xu Wenwen as she wanted to stay by her best friend's side while he had to track down the person who's behind it.

When he finally got some free time, Xu Wenwen was busy in her career which made them see each other even less.

Mo Zhexi couldn't even have a date with her. He had nothing to do and could only help with tracking down the person who harmed his Sister-in-law.

Then, his phone rang. When he looked at the name of the caller, he immediately accepted the call.

"Mo Zhexi, do you have time tomorrow?"

"Yes, anytime for you."

Xu Wenwen blushed at his comment. It's good that he was not by her side. It would be embarrassing to let him see her red face.

"I have two tickets to the movie 'Loves Goes On'. Well, I was supposed to go with Jingyi but she had something to do that day. So, do you want to watch with me?"

So, he was her second choice? Then, he must thank his Sister-in-law for being busy for that day.

Although he was the second choice she thought to go out with, he's happy to hear that. At least he was on her mind. Thinking about that, his lips curled up.

"Okay. When shall we go watch the movie?"

"It's this Saturday night at nine. Is it fine for you?"

"Yeah, sure. I'm free at night. I'll pick you up."

"Okay. See you this weekend."

"See you baby."

Xu Wenwen's cheeks flushed as she heard him saying 'Baby' from his mouth. She couldn't believe Mo Zhexi actually said that.

Mo Zhexi then added a 'I love you' on the end of the call. His voice was deep and low that it sounded like he was whispering to her.

Xu Wenwen's face was even redder than before. Listening to the words he said through the phone could make her ears go pregnant.

She didn't know his voice can be so alluring. She might fell in love with his deep and low voice.

While she was fantasizing about Mo Zhexi using his alluring voice whispering to her ears with different words and sentences, her phone rang and vibrated on her hands.

She thought it was Mo Zhexi who still had something to say but it was someone else. Someone else she knew.

"Wenwen, it's me."

"Senior Yixuan, what's the matter? You know it's night time here, right?"

"Haha. My bad. But I knew you still haven't sleep yet. You're not like Jingyi. I called to tell you guys that I will be returning to Country A to inherit my family business."

"You're coming back?! And you finally want to join your family business?! What happened? I thought you refused to help in your family business."

"Long story. I'll tell you guys after I come back. I will be back by the day after tomorrow at one in the afternoon."

"I'll tell Jingyi about it. We'll pick you up at the airport."

"Oh, two beautiful ladies are going to pick me up. I'm honored. Then, I appreciate it. See you soon."

"Mm. See you, Senior."

After the hanging up, Xu Wenwen texted Lu Jingyi about their senior coming back. Lu Jingyi will see the message in the morning when she woke up.
