Celestial Elves' Survival Game

Celestial Elves, a race of Celestial beings, bargained with the world leaders of Earth to not destroy the planet if they could offer them an appreciable number of prisoners as compensation for not destroying their world. The leaders gathered around and agreed to their terms. After all, what could be better than such a deal. These were just a bunch of cutthroat criminals and misfits. A thorn to the society at large. The world leaders would be glad to let these bands of miscreants leave their homeland as soon as possible. And so a deal was struck with the Celestial beings, with the inhabitants of the world at large oblivious to this knowledge except for the world leaders of course. A total of 80,000 criminals charged with a death sentence would be enough to placate the Celestials urge for destruction. And here’s where our protagonist comes into play. Ace Tempest, an eighteen year old undergraduate, was incarcerated for the murder of his father who in turn was at fault for the domestic violence he implements while at home.  Thrown into a prison facility just like the rest of the criminals, Ace had no choice but to take part in this survival game where players who suffered in-game deaths would surely follow a similar fate in real life. But that wasn't all, since the players were in another world, the inhabitants of Earth had already forgotten the players even existed. Now what will he do since both his mother and sister had forgotten all about him? Will he strive to win the 1,000,000,000 dollar reward or will something totally unexpected occur to him in the game. If you don't wanna miss it then come and join the fun. Thanks. [[ Warning!! Contains Mature Content and Gore.]] Please, all events that occurred in this novel is completely fictional. 46. Threat In The Woods.

"Fufu… Oh! So, you lied about having three girls back on Earth,"

"Huh?!" I came back to my right senses.

I opened my eyes to see myself lying on Jasmine's lap and Jasmine looking at me with a massive smile on her face as she caressed my cheek.

I hurriedly raised my body from Jasmine before crossing my legs on the floor.

'Sh×t, I almost admit I lied to her,'

'Were girls always this soft?'

'I love it,'

'I don't mind doing it again,'

I cleared my throat before saying. "No… No… No, I mean, our (Me and my imaginary girlfriends) relationship is more complex and complicated than being mere boyfriends and girlfriends. We are more like friends with benefits. Yeah, yeah, yeah, something like that, so they would be glad to see me doing this much to you,"

Oh great, now I sound like a pervert.

Jasmine chuckled softly before drifting to another topic. "You defeated the Dark Minotaur. You cleared the labyrinth and now the reward is all yours," She said, standing up gently while cleaning the dust off her clothes.

I guess she's right, but all this wouldn't have happened if she wasn't by my side through it all.

"No, we cleared the labyrinth together," I muttered, loud enough for her to hear.

Those words brought a smile to Jasmine's face.

Of course, I am pleased to witness this as well.

"Tch, TCH," My body hurts and aches all over. I have to return to the truck to give myself proper treatment.

Although, we're running out of medical supplies. There has to be another cabin scattered around the forest.

I'll leave that for later. For now, I have other things to be worried about.

"How long was I asleep?"

" About half an hour,"

"Yikes, that long?"

*Nods*

" What of the reward? What did we get?"

Jasmine pointed towards the reward arranged beside my feet.

I picked them up, feeling a bit surprised.

"Oh, It's eleven gold coins?"

"But what of the treasure chest?"

I turned around to see a huge golden treasure chest glowing at the edge of the room.

And unlike the kobold caves we've cleared before now, this treasure chest seems a lot bigger than the ones we've seen so far.

I opened it to see a map and several glowing gold coins in it.

Placing the mouth-watering gold coins away, I grabbed the map, which piqued my interest.

It's weird really, because I thought if we cleared the labyrinth, there won't be any more maps to find.

All previous maps lead to this very labyrinth, then does this map lead to a city outside the forest?

Or wait…

"Is this what I think it is?" Could it be what I'm thinking it is?

."I think so," replied Jasmine.

It seems Jasmine is having the same thought as me.

I hurriedly opened the map and a system prompt appeared before my eyes.

"It is…"

It was one of the four maps leading to the location of the Obsidian key.

"I can't believe we found one of the four maps,"

"Fufu… I told you if we worked together, nothing can stand in our way,"

With this map in my hands, we stand a chance of completing the main quest and earning the reward of one billion gold coins.

'Wow!! One billion dollars, huh,'

I would appreciate it if we could claim such a reward.

I can't believe Jasmine was right about us standing a chance of winning this game.

Well, she deserves this reward more than I do. After all, she was the one who wanted to have all four maps.

Our deal was limited to the reward of the labyrinth.

And I'm fine with that alone.

"Take it, it is yours. You deserve to have it," I offered to give her the map, but she rejected it.

"You earned it, it is yours. You were the one who single-handedly defeated the last Minotaur. The map deserves to be with you more than I,"

Well, if she doesn't want to have it.

There's no point forcing her to have the map.

I drifted my gaze toward the treasure chest once again.

Every single cave we've been to provides a range between 100 and 200 gold coins, I wonder how many gold coins we will receive from clearing the labyrinth.

"Woah! You've got to be kidding me,"

"Well, this should be expected. The kobolds in a cave had a combined level of 10 while the Minotaur in a labyrinth had a combined level of 21,"

" Hmm," I hummed. " I see your point,"

I guess that could explain a lot, but isn't 2,500 gold coins a bit too much as a reward?

Well, not that I'm complaining, but it's just that I didn't expect to receive such a high amount.

We both divided the gold coins, with me having a total of 1,500 coins while Jasmine had the rest for herself.

"Can we go now? My body is beginning to ache all over," Jasmine lamented.

Well, the feeling is mutual.

The truth is, at this rate, I could sleep for a whole day.

Right after we stored the gold coins in our inventory, the walls of the labyrinth began to crumble down into pixels.

Oh, the death pillars had stopped releasing spikes since the Minotaur was killed, so we had nothing to worry about while we were still in the boss room.

So far, as the walls collapsed, there was no damage inflicted on either of us.

Soon, we found ourselves outside with the sky approaching its twilight.

Too bad we couldn't appreciate the beautiful scenery in this messed up game, but right now, rest was of the utmost priority in our minds.

We sauntered towards the truck, which still had little gas to spare.

Hopefully, it has enough for us to get back home

While Jasmine drove us, I decided to take a look into my status.

Meanwhile, in the woods, the outline of two silhouettes watched as how the labyrinth vanished from the forest.

"So it has been cleared?" The voice of a male silhouette asked.

"It appears so," A female silhouette holding a binocular replied, but she chuckled as she watched Jasmine entering the truck.
