24. Stitching Ace's Wounds.

(Jasmine's POV.)

Right after Ace read the skill book, my heart was finally able to be at ease.

Now he has at least ten minutes before his HP finally drops to zero.

The First Aid skill enables his HP to remain at a steady point until he treats himself, even though he was losing a lot of blood right now.

Of course, if more damage were to be inflicted on him right now, he'll be killed on the spot.

"I'm sorry, Ace. It is all my fault the Minotaur was able to hit you,"

I apologized for my mistake earlier, but Ace doesn't look like he can hear anything I'm saying.

'I'm just glad he's alright,'

He saved me by distracting the Minotaur and so, this is the least I can do to show my gratitude.

'This game is so much fun and I have a ton of things to do before the hundredth day of the game, '

'I will surely locate all four maps to find the obsidian key, '

'And once I have it, I'll never be worried about money for the rest of my life, '

'But until then, I'll have as much fun as I can have,'

I dropped my gaze toward Ace, who seemed like he was about to take a nap.

"I'll be right back," I tried to comfort him, just in case he still feels worried about his HP, but since I didn't notice any response from him, I doubt it was even necessary for me to say anything in the first place.

I stood up slowly to return to the truck I parked by a tree.

I still have a couple of minutes left before my HP drops to nil, but it looks like Ace is in a more critical condition than mine.

And besides....

"I will never forgive myself if he dies right in front of me, knowing I was the one at fault,"

Once I had what I needed, I returned to Ace with a water bottle in one hand and a first aid kit in my other hand.

The kit looked like a little red box with a white cross symbol on it.

It had everything a kit was made to have and maybe even more, ranging from plasters, adhesive bandages, tweezers, disposable gloves, painkillers, and many more.

I hunkered down before Ace, who had surprisingly fallen asleep.

With the knowledge, I obtained from the First Aid skill, I'm able to treat wounds and cuts as well.

I enabled him to drink water from the bottle, which aided in increasing his HP in the process.

Now I can work on him for an additional twenty minutes.

Immediately my HP drops a bit more, I'll eat some snacks and then drink something to refill it a bit more.

Once that was out of the way, I administered some anesthetics to help with the pain and to maximize his comfort while I worked on his injuries.

Then, I turned toward the most critical part of his injury.

The jagged teeth of the Minotaur gashed Ace's arm into an unsightly mess. The cuts on his arms were deep, and this made me use absorbable sutures to stitch his wounds together.

These surgical threads dissolve in his body and won't need me to remove the threads once his body has healed.

Although, I hope he acquires a thousand gold coins to purchase a healing potion before it is too late to hasten his healing.

"All done,"

The stitches were done, and his arm was bandaged as well.

His broken knee requires taking care of, but I had to take care of my HP as well.

Stitching and bandaging both of us wasn't easy due to my broken fingers, but I was able to get it done.

I managed to get Ace into the truck before zooming off out of there.

"I can't believe we killed a level 4 Minotaur on our own,"

I muttered as I turned on the ignition of the truck.

' My job here isn't done. I'll be back to conquer the labyrinth,'

I gazed at the hill from where I and the Minotaur came when I first saw Ace before zooming off to get both Ace and me back to the cabin where I lived.

Ever since this survival game had started, things had been going relatively smoothly for me.

Right after General Zhang stated the commencement of the game, I had been spawned straight to the cabin house.

I didn't even have to fight against any other contender in the game until this very moment.

'This is why I have zero kills so far even though I have killed so many level one goblins and a few levels two kobolds and wolves,'

'And this is why I won't welcome any negative thoughts into my mind. I'm going to look for all four maps and then locate the Obsidian key,'

' I'll live a happy and joyous life in this world until the end,'

My belief in achieving this goal is strong and I won't allow anyone to stop me.

'Not even HER!'

I grabbed the steering wheel tightly as I recalled a fellow female inmate.

There is no love lost between us due to the tiny history we had in prison.

Unlike me, she's been an inmate for years, and she's established herself as one of the few untouchable female inmates in Black Paradise prison.

But now, with everyone here playing this survival game, I won't let her do whatever she pleases with me anymore.

And if our paths cross once again in the game?

"I'll do whatever it takes to kill you..... Gabriella,"

'Oh! We're here,' I could see the cabin already as I parked the vehicle.

Ace was still unconscious as I took him inside and throughout the drive, my stomach was growling even after I ate all the snacks I kept in the truck.

"It's time to get something for both of us to eat,"
