WHO WILL QUALIFY

Monday morning, the worst time of the week it was so unbearable. Missing the weekend,Traffic, boring lectures you name it.

I straightened my skirt and took my seat in the class. The class wasn't full as to people hadn't come yet.

Jackson suddenly looked at me then looked back at his book "Catherine, we have to meet in the hall after school today to know the two people that qualified for the T.I.Q.C.O.B.M quiz competition".

"What! is this school honestly looking for ways to keep me lock in here".

"Catherine how are you doing" Mattie pulled me in for a hug.

I started finding it difficult to breathe because of her grip strength.

She whispered in my ear "thank you so much for coming yesterday".

She released me from the hug " you're so sweet you cancelled you plans to help me out".

I whispered back "you're welcome Sweetie".

"Blah blah blah blah blah" that's all I could hear during Math's period.

I wasn't focused at all, my eyes were drowning in sleep, I just needed a way to escape.

I raised my hands up "em.. Mr Andrews can I use the toilet.

"Sure" Mr Andrews replied.

I quietly stood up and left and the class.

I was done using the toilet and went to the sink to wash my hands until I heard someone scream from outside the toilet.

I could hear some familiar voices outside the toilet.

"Hey keep quiet, don't scream or else, now get in" the voice outside said.

That was my cue to hide in the toilet, I opened the toilet door a little bit to see what was going on.

A group of boys walked in and one of them threw a girl inside.

They were the same ones trying to flirt with me the other day.

The girl looked so scared and tears were rolling down her eyes. "Please don't hurt me I'm begging you".

"Well pretty if you want us not to hurt you, you have to give us what we want, now take off your shirt"

She hurriedly took of her shirt and only her bra was left.

"Hey guys would look at that, her boobs are getting larger by the day" they all laughed.

"Since I'm your leader I'll go first" he squeezed her boobs and she started screaming he then used his hands and cover her mouth.

"So soft guys" he squeezed harder.

This was the worst time to leave my phone in the classroom.

Tears rolled from the girl's eyes in shame and disgrace.

A guy from outside came in, pacing"hey dude, I saw the SCP on the stairs he's heading this way, come on let's go".

"Well, I guess our breakfast has been interrupted, well in that cause let's go and also you, I want to see you in the generator room after school closes".

They all left from the toilet, but she was still there sobbing.

I came out of the toilet quietly not to startle her. She was putting on her shirt back.

"Hey there, are you okay, I kinda saw what happened".

"Who are you and what do you want" she said cleaning the tears from her eyes.

"Why don't you speak up for yourself".

"What do you mean that"she asked.

"They were clearly harassing you and you just let them do it".

Tears began to flow from her eyes again. "Well, what do you want me to do, my dad works for Brad's dad and if I don't do it, Brad promise to get my dad fired".

"Who is Brad" I asked in confusion.

"The leader of the gang and if I don't do it my dad and I will start from scratch again, we'll finally made it this far".

"So you're just going to give him your body for free because you're dad won't get fired".

She stood up and adjusted her skirt "I don't want to talk about it, just leave me alone" then she left.

I won't leave her alone until I exposed those filthy boys, trust me.

"Catherine come on let's go for lunch" Matilda pulled him up from my seat.

"Wait, you can go, I'll meet up with you, I just have to do something important".

"Okay, me and Ashley will wait for you at the cafeteria".

"Sure, alright then".

I knew exactly where to go now but I have to make it quick before they go for lunch.

I finally reached the student council office and I guess I had to knock.

I knocked on the door and a girlish voice responded "you can come in".

I pushed the door slightly and came in.

"Oh it's you, what do you want, hope it's not another argument" Jordan sighed and rolled his eyes before looking back at his phone.

"You know what Jordan I don't have time to argue with you right now, I just came here to clarify something that's all".

"Okay then what do you want to clarify" one guy like that said.

Come to think of it there was only four boys instead of five boys but I didn't let that distract me though.

"What's the punishment for rape in the school" I asked.

"What!" Brianna exclaimed.

"It's just question, no need to get so worked up about it".

"They'll be expelled from the school" Jordan replied.

"Just expelled, what if I want to beat up a student from the school really badly but without the school's interference in it".

Brianna looked at me weirdly "what do you without the school's interfer..."

"On a Saturday, kilometers away from the school" Jordan cut her off.

"Okay then thank you" I turned back and walked out.

Some time later ....

"Catherine let's go, it's time already" Jackson was just packing his books into his bag.

"Ahhh... I'm coming, it at that hall right".

"Yeah it is".

I lazily got up from my chair and took my bag then followed Jackson as usual then left.

We arrived at the entrance of the hall and everybody was just busy discussing.

I sat at the back position again and this time I just laid my head on the table out of tiredness.

"Hello students, well regarding the test, most of you did try than expected. As you know the exam was tough even for people in the university level but you guys performed exceptional. But I'm I guess you guys just want to know who qualified for the school quiz".

"Yes sir" the class answered.

"Okay then, the two people that qualified are..... Jordan".

The whole class was expecting that so nobody was actually surprised.

"and..... Catherine".

Silence immediately fell when they my name even I was dumbstruck.

"What, Catherine!" the whole class exclaimed.
