41. Nightmare.

" Good morning, my goodness! Your eyes are sore , didn't you sleep at all?" Doctor Henry walk in looking at me surprised.

"GoodMorning to you too , I couldn't sleep even when I tried, how long will it take for him to wake up?"

" In few minutes or an hour not exactly sure, I'll check him now." doctor Henry says as he comes to check Tenor.

" Everything is normal and he should wake up in few minutes if am not wrong.'"

" That's great" I say happily . I can't wait for him to be up.

" You should rest , you look terrible, and it's going to affect you if you don't sleep."

" Trust me I want to but I can't seem to catch any sleep at all." 

" Should I give you something to help you ?"

" No, not now thanks."

" Okay, if you say so, I have another surgery in 30 mins, I just wanted to check on you guys, so I'll get going."

"Thanks and success." I say burying my head in the fridge to look for something .

"Thank you ."

" You should rest.." 

"Doc. I told you I can't , I've tr.. wait why do you sound like that." I ask lifting my head looking at the door but it's closed and the nurse that I've been sitting here with hasn't returned, Am I hearing my own things or what??

I turn and go back to what I was doing ,"you..need.. sleep.."

Okay that sounded so real.. I turn my head to look at him and our eyes meet. "Tenor?!You.. you're awake?"

I literally heard his voice but he's still closing his eyes ,. , " heeey are you awake" I whisper near him.

I see his long lashes tremble a bit then he opens his eyes weakly, " oh my.. you..are really.. awake." I really wanna hold him to me so badly but there's no where to touch him, everywhere on his upper body there are tubes for his treatment.

He raises his hand weakly towards my face so I lean nearer , he wipes my cheek , damn! I was crying. 

I guess it's how the happiness in me is showing itself, " the doctor, I should call the doctor to check on you after waking up,, I should let them know you are awake , am coming back just right way.. wait for me , I won't even go far, the nurses need to know you are awake ." 

" No..don't.. leave.."

" I won't leave, am just calling out from the door alright??" 

" Hmn.."

I stand at the door and call out for the nurse shouting that Tenor is awake, no one is coming so I assure Tenor that I'll just call them from a few steps out and I stand out of the door, finally the doctor and the nurses on duty rushes, we go in together excitedly but entering we don't hear any beeps from the ECG, he's closing his eyes and he looks like he isn't breathing!

The doctor checks him up and turns towards us with the suddest face ever .

" Whaat?! Why are you looking like that!! He was awake just now , I assured him that I'll be out here and he agreed , did he sleep again?"

" He's gone.."

" You .. do not say anything like that one more time or else I'ma tear your mouth into pieces,do you understand?! You are the craziest person on this planet!" am trembling and I can't seem to feel anything anymore, my body becomes numb, am screaming , I can't see his face clearly.

My family all come in , Tayler and Mom are shouting at me saying how I've killed him because I don't listen and follow what am told .

I start screaming saying how it's my fault, my body is still trembling..

' it's my fault I left the room again, I did it again!! I've..'

" Tyler !!! Tyler!! Hey Tyler..?!?"

I hear many voices one after the other calling my name but I can't seem to grasp whose voices they are for .

In one quick move I sit upright , looking where my head was , on Tenor's bed which is wet probably because of the sweat that is pouring from my body , am sitting in the chair next to the bed, I look around the room and it's so quiet , opposite from how noisy it has been few seconds ago, there's shock on everyone's face including the nurse, doctor and my family.

My mind crosses a very important person and I turn abruptly and my eyes meet with his worried ones , " are you okay??" He askes softly and worriedly, still lying on the bed ,, it was a fuckin' nightmare!? 

I Was struggling with sleep last night and I think I slept somewhere in the middle of the night. I hug him absent mindedly tears pouring out of my eyes.

" Careful.. he's not completely healed.." I here the doctor say.

I back away from him but just meters away.. " you woke up.." 

" Yes.. are you okay?" 

" Yeah , it's just..just a.." I chock on the sobes , I couldn't even say clear words.

My family seem to have unfrozen and they are now near me , "you scared the hell out of us" dad says. " You were trembling like you've been electrocuted and you didn't seem to..God I can't even describe that . How are you feeling?" 

" Fine "

" You should go for check up just to confirm that you're really okay. " the doctor suggests.

" Am fine it was just a ni.." I don't really wanna say it because it'll make me go crazy this minute. " Ugh! Am absolutely fine , no need for that."

" But you don't look so good you..." 

I cut my Mom who is insisting .

" Mom I said am fi.."

Tenor cut me, " Go for the check up.."

" Finee , if you insist." I go following the nurse but hesitantly because I do not want to leave his side but since he said it, I'll go.

..In the check up room.

" It's fatigue I guess , you need proper rest and relax, you'll feel much better . "

" Okay thanks," I say standing up.

" Wait, take these , They'll help you in case you feel any pain in your body and make sure to sleep for atleast ten hours from now."

" Sure thanks."

I go back , I don't say anything to them about the fatigue and resting because they'll force me to go home, something I do not wanna do.

" She says it's just stress and I need to relax."

"I've talked to Dr. Olivia , you'll start seeing her tomorrow." mom says with unpredictable expressions on her face.

"For what?" I ask wondering because the person she's talking about is a therapist.

" Therapy"

" What therapy?! Am absolutely fine " I argue.

" I don't understand you anymore and I think you have a problem that you feel you can't tell us so go talk to her , it's for your own good."

" Are you serious?" Mom is really being weird , I don't understand her either .

"I won't say it again and you are not gonna argue with me, I am your mother and I know what am talking about."

Am loosing my temper "You want her to help me not to be gay or what?! Because You've been like this since you found out about Tenor and I .."

"Stop! Both of you, seriously, this is not the time for that, please." dad cuts us.
