13.Challenge

" It's really nice to be on a school break, we get to hangout all the time " I say.

Andy, " Yeah, but why are you always checking your phone as if you're waiting for some news??"

Greg, " I was just about to ask that."

Dylan, " Dude.. tell us about her, new chic,, wait a minute , before we came for the break Lexy was asking for you , did she finally give in??"

"What are you guys talking about ? There's nothing between Lexy and I, you know I would have told you already. "

Andy, " Then who's the new girl?"

"There's no new girl either."

Dylan, "Ugh.. then put your fuckin' phone away."

Well , surprisingly I didn't even notice I was checking my phone frequently , what am I expecting??

Nothing, am just checking my phone, it's mine anyway, why can't I check it anytime I feel like it?!

Ugh.. fineee, maybe I've been waiting to see if that idiot will text me , I said maybe, not for sure.

The question is , why am I even waiting to see if he texts me ! Ahh.. I think it's because I want to see who between us can be that Egostic and care free. 

°°Maybe he already forgot that he talked to someone like me, I mean, it's been a week now, so what am I even waiting for??

Thinking that he already forgot that I exist doesn't settle in me so well and it's ruining my fuckin' mood. How can someone be so arrogant! How is that being arrogant anyway , ugh.. wherever!

Greg, "Bro, Care to share??"

Andy, " Just looking at you I know that your mind is roaming far away from here, why don't you just spill it out."

"You guys know that I like challenges, right?? And I must be the one to win those challenges , right?? So who does he think he is to win this??"

Dylan places his hand on my forehead to feel it, "Man , are you okay??"

"Who are you competing with and what are you guys competing about?? Don't tell me it's Merlin and you competing for Lexy, you know he can't compete with someone like you, he'll never win her over. Trust me that girl is into you and not him !" Greg says.

I stand up opening Dylan's door from his room, we've been in there playing video games for hours, " I'll see you guys when you see me."

They don't say anything , They stare at me blankly as I go.

God.. Am I not just the weirdest person on this planet? I enter the house through the front door . I find mom watching in the living room, she's on a leave.

Mom and dad both work in the same company that produces jeweleries and also it's a wedding planner company .

The other day they were just telling us how they met in that company and experienced something called ' love at first sight' , I won't say their story because it's not mine to tell.

It's like our family depend on that company because both my parents work there and if they decide to close it , or something comes up then we're likely to go hungry.

Like there's this time.. back then when it went bankrupt and my parents couldn't sleep, worrying how they'll start looking for another jobs and the way it's so hard to find one.

Anyway, thank God because miraculously he saved it and it came back to life slowly by slowly. My mom is a designer while my dad is the head of sales department.

"You're home early today.." mom says looking at me like it's a miracle.

"I come early it's a problem, I come late it's a problem, seriously mom?!?" 

She laughs at that, " I didn't say it's a problem coming early."

" Then why do you look at me like that and ask."

She rises her hands in surrender, " finee , I didn't expect you now , that's why"

"Who are you expecting, mom are you cheating on dad?!" I ask her with a serious face.

She takes the pillow besides her hitting me with it, "Who are the parents of this boy,,come take him home."

I run upstairs as I laugh. After hearing what she said next I stop going back and look at her with a serious face, " What kind of a parent rejects her child like this?!"

Mom , " This kind of a parent!" 

"Okay.. dad needs to hear this."

Mom , " Oo honey , you know I'll never do that to you, right??"

"I don't , but I'll know if you buy me knew headphones, mom I told you the old ones are not working anymore." 

Mom "Tommorow."

"Yeeh , best mama on the planet , thanks Mom in advance. " she smiles.

"Is Tayler in her room??" I ask planing to bother her for a bit .

Mom, "Obviously, but am pretty sure she doesn't want you there."

I hear Tayler shouting from her room, "Yeah , mom is right , I don't want to see your face, why am I even shouting I can just lock my door." I hear her locking the door ,

"No don't .. I need to tell you something." I say as I run towards her room but she already locked it. I knock on it but she doesn't open.

Tayler, " Go away Tyler!"

"Fine am going, you don't have to send me away like a wild dog."

Nunny , " ooo my poor boy."

She says going to the kitchen,mom laugh as if it's something funny.

I go in my room .
