“You don’t understand, she was overjoyed when we made up and would have even come to see you if not for her health, but…”
“I don’t understand what you’re getting at. What do you mean by ‘when we made up?’”
“I mean the time when we were cool before you suddenly switched up on me. Look, all I’m asking is that you come for her birthday party, preend that everything is okay, and I swear to you, I will not ask anything else. After the day is over, you won’t hear from me again. I just don’t want to make her sad on her big day, because I already promised her that you would be there.”
