Rhea's fate

"The Celestial clan's Lord Opul, Lord Rytar, and Lord Ulysos have come to visit the realm of the dear goddess of life! We plead for an audience with her!"

A deep and oppressive chorus of voices rang out from the borders of the Eternal pure land. Even though the words spoken and tone adooted were reverent, they were accompanied by a cruel ambience that seemed to come from the bottom of purgotory, instantly causing the entire eternal pure land to shift uncertainly.

The aura of peace and tranquility that rested in this place had evaporated into nothing.

Because Lord Opul, Lord, and Rytar and Lord Ulysos were the names of three of the Prime sun godds! ; Heralds of the Celestial god of power.

And not only had distingushed individuals such as the prime sun gods, come tonlay a visit, all three of them had arrived!

Within a secluded hut within the eternal paradise, Rhea frowned as she stared at the skies anove. Over the decades her beauty had matured and she had had became so fascinatingly perfect that she did not lose to any of the female Celestial gods or devil emperors.

She said in a sad voice, "Not a single day later. They did not come a single day later than what you predicted, Master."

"Master," Rhea continued as she stepped forward, her pure white robes and her long snow white hair fluttering in the wind, "I will go meet them."

"Don't bother." The Celestial goddess of life was not the least bit surprised by the arrival of the three Prime sun gods. "Since my elder brother has shown us such 'great favour', I will naturally have to be the one recive them."

The white light flashed as she prepared to move, however at the last second she stopped and her gaze seemingly fell on Rhea.

'Aiyah' She let out a complicated sigh before asking softly. "Are you prepared for what must happen?"

"You and my adoptive father have been preparing me for this my whole life. So yes, I am prepared. Prepared, but unwilling," Rhea admitted.

"Hmm" A thoughtful sound radiated from the mass of white light. Then she was suddenly gone.

Traversing space and tearing through the barrier, Selene appeared before the Prime sun gods. She spoke in her usual serene voice. "What is it that you want?"

As they heard the her inescapable voice, the three prime sun gods were clearly caught by surprise. A long while passed before they answered. "May the Voice of creation continue to bless you. We have specially arrived on the orders of the Lord Janus to take a false Celestial god who unbalances our realm!"

"We hope that the Celstial goddess of life in all her wisdom will not make this difficult for us."

Even though the voices of the prime sun gods were cold and imperious, anyone could clearly sense the adoration and worship contained within them… Because the person they were speaking to right now was the beloved of the entire universe, the Celestial goddess of life Selene!

"How does the The Celestial sun god clan know that a false Celestial god is here?" Selene asked calmly.

They answered. "Our lord has been aware of everything since the beginning, after all, the will of the voice is his."

Selene's immaculate voice filled the air once more. "Your Lord is not the only one who can dole out the restitution the universe demands. Since she has already fallen into this goddess's hands, then I shall deal with her as I see fit. So then, what reason does your Lord have to interfere?"

The Prime sun gods replied solemnly, "We do indeed recognize your right as a supreme goddes. However...our lords will must not be defied. If he wishes to have the girl, then he must have her."

After a while, Selene redacted a soft laugh. "Since the Janus regards this matter with such importance, ask him to come and get her himself. He will naturally have his wish when he has shown enough sincerity. To demand something of me, the few of you aren't worthy yet."

The Sun gods lapsed into another brief period of silence. When their voices rang out again, they were colder and darker than before. "The Celestial emperor gave us an order to bring them back no matter what…"

"I have already said all ther is to say." A soft and cool voice immediately cut the sun gods. But after that, her voice took on a colder tone. "Could it be that you want to make me repeat myself?"

This time her voice was devoid of the warmth it normally possessed and took on a terrifying coldness.

Her voice was often irresistiblly warm and tempting. It seemed even capable of cleansing the soul, however at this noment it was covered in a horrifying frost that chilled ones core.

Every single atom, even the gabric of their their souls were trembling and spasming uncontrollably, the prime sun gods were reminded of a truth they had long since forgotten.

The rage of the Celestial goddess of life was even more terrifying than the great Emperor's.

The entirety of the eternal paradise fell completely silent. After a long period of deathly quiet, the Sun gods finally spoke once again, "We will relay the words of the the goddess to our Emperor just as you have said them. We take our leave for know but know this...

Our lords affection for you means that he will never move against you. But the presence of the false goddess not only afffects the balance of our realm but the entire natural order of the universe

Even is our lord does not move, someone will!"

After they said those words, the three Prime sun gods swiftly disappeared into the distance. From when they arrived to when they took their leave, they did not dare to truly step into Selene's domain.

After a brief moment of recluse Selen returned to the Eternal paradise.

"Will the Celestial emperor accept this as it is?" Rhea asked as the bundle of sacred white light that his Selene's figure re-emerged in front before her once agaib.

"Yes he will. Janus has never been able to deny me of anything." Selene said emotionlessly, completely unmoved by what she was saying.

"Often I have looked down on this lowly mortal attachment of his, but today, it is finally of use to me." She surmised.

"Then what gruesome fate were you preparing me for?" Rhea asked after some time.

"You were never fated to perish by Janus's hand. But make no mistake, exactly fourteen hours from now, your string of life will break and you will die.....

It will stay broken for a millenia, then one day you will emerge through the blood of your enemies and meet a person.

A single person.

He shall be cruel and merciless, a true monster in many ways.

But then he will make you whole.

And then perhaps through both of you, all reality will survive the siming crisis.

Rhea, this is the knowledge I have for you, truth of your everlasting salvation and damnation." Selene finshed.

Then the wispy light thaf comprised her form began to dissipate.

"Goodby Rhea. It was only for a short few decades....but perhaps now I understand a tiny smidgen of what a mother feels when she looks upon her child with pride, and with love." Selene said as her form became transient.

As she disappeared her very last words were: "Wait for him. He will come....."

Then Rhea was suddenly all alone.

She didn't mind though, she had come into this wretched world alone and so that was how she wished to leave it.

Without Selene's heavenly presence, the air of the Eternal Paradise seemed quite shallow and lonely.

And with Rhea's beauty painting a transcient and fragile picture of beauty as she waded through the Celestial flora, the resulting scene seemed more heart breaking than ever.

Step by step she made her way through barrier and continued.

When she stopped she was met by a peculiar sight.

The mass of land that made up the Eternal paradise was had reached its end. At its borders a broiling expanse of primal energy surged in a chostic sea.

As the pure energy of creation, it was constantly shifting, exploding and collapsing upon itself. It was as if within the forge a hundred different worlds were born every second before dying to make room for new ones.

This scene should have been frightening, but to Rhea, this strange goddess who had lost everything before she could anything, it was a lovely sight.

And so Rhea stood at the edge, as swathes of primal energies surged up onto the land like waves.

She stood amongst them silently, a calm and peaceful light radiating put of her eyes. No one at all could in thaf moment understand what she was thinking.

Then very slowly, a strange smile etched itself onto her lips.

********

Nothing should have happened to her.

She was a pure soul untainted by sin, but unfortunately that was not how life worked.

At the summit of Celestial gods and devil enoerors it was decided that she would be removed. Selene knew this, but at the same time she knew that her brethren could not be stopped.

And so in exactly fourteen hours, just like Selene had predicted, Rhea was taken.

Her captor, servants of the devil empress Hel took her a forgotten world buried her in the darkness.

There, she was blinded and murdered in a ritual to help produce the Empresses new guardian race, the Nerieds.

But just as her life left her she heard a celestial voice she had never expected to hear again.

"Do not worry.....you will live.

And in the next life as well, we will meet again.."

The darkness then descended, returning her entire existence to oblivion.

Then thre was a bright light. Her arms were suddenly stubby and when she attempted to speak, an infantile giggle escaped her lips.

Two faces appeared in her field of vision: A man and a woman. They were tok people both Canaan and Xara recognized: Pletus and Corissa.

Corissa took the infants palm as she cooed: "Welcome little one...."

Then it was over.

Both Canaan and Xara returned to the present.
