Lothal's Salvation

Talia left her grand dwelling behind and flew toward the north alone.

Supported by her devilish energy, Canaan floated behind her silently until he couldn't anymore.

"Where are you going, Master?" Canaan couldn't help his curiosity anymore.

After asking Talia to help Lothal she had disappeared for a while, after finding her again they had indulged in each others bodies for a long time.

Finally after he had asked again, instead of giving him an answer she had suddenly departed from their abode, bringing him with her to an unknown location.

"Patience. It's not too far away from here."

Her reply only made Canaan more curious and mystified.

It wasn't long before a small secluded meadow entered their vision.

It was small, but contained a strangely pure air that was scarce in this world.

Still it was insignificant, so insignificant that Canaan thought they would fly over it.

"This is your destination, Master…!!!?"

Canaan's puzzled tone abruptly turned into a cry of shock.

"This aura…"

His voice grew increasingly soft and agitated, and for the first time since Talia had come to know him, his perfect and emotionless visage crumbled entirely.

Talia sped up, and the distant meadow grew bigger at a much faster pace.

Eventually, Canaan's senses became fully attuned to the pure lamd before his eyes.

It was a plane that in this dark world was covered in emerald green. Even from a distance, he could feel an impossibly pure aura washing over his person, expelling the darkness shrouding his heart and cleansing the impurities of his soul.

He came to a stop with Talia above the vast meadow and looked. Viridian wood, bamboo and emerald grass filled the earth. Between them were countless other plants and flowers.

This place would seem like an eternal paradise for those who were used to a world polluted by sin, strife and desire.

In the center of this meadow a wooden house stood quietly. It was a fragile construct thay could not be any simpler, amd yet it glimmered with a beauty unseen by the mortal world.

At its balcony observing the glow of the panoramic view was a figure Canaan could never forget.

His sole borther, Lothal

Talia's energy wordlessly lowered him onto the meadow beneath him.

lothal had sensed a new arrival and had already began to warily approach, however as he turned to recognised Canaan's figure, his worried expression immediately became a gratified one.

The two stared at eachother in silence then...

They immediately collided in an extremely warm embrace.

"Told you it would get better." Lothal laughed as he drew Canaan deeper into his arms.

"Optimistic dumbass!" Canaan chided with a warm smile.

He was glad to be wrong though, happy that they had both finally escaped from the world of horrors.

Only....if Talia had already decided to isolate him did that mean that she knew....!?

A shiver surged through Canaan as he considered this alarming thought.

****

"Our world is huge, but it will never be big enough to satisfy a person's desire. I could've decided to prtotect him with the Chaos Asura battalion and it still wouldnt suffice, this was the only effective method I could think of.

After all the allure of a humans blood is simply too great!" Talia said to Canaan as travelled across the skies.

Canaan did not speak. His suspicions had been spot on and Talia had indeed known what Lothal was however he was unable to raise his guard against her in the slightest.

Rather his heart surged with endless gratitude

From the beginning he had sensed his groowing attraction to Talia, however he chided himself, realizing that he had made an error in judgment. Understanding that his fate was completely in the hands of her and her house.

His experiences had warned him that those content to leave their fates in others never met a good end. Trust was for fools, if one wanted to ensure their survival they needed but one thing.

Absolute control.

So he had tried to curb any emotional attachment he might have developed towards her, however...

How could he possibly be unmoved by her after what she had done for him....

As Canaan stared into her eyes he only found the pure blooming love of a young woman;

The desire to give him, her lover all the good things in the world.

It was nothing like Heide's sinful and selfish obsession, but rather her love was without flaw.

He saw that now.....

"Master, I…" Canaan began

Suddenly, Talia put a finger to his soft lips and said, "Come now. This is what i should be doing for my cute servant. Also…

"Should I ever here the words "thank you" from you again I will definitely not forgive you.

For between you and I there is absolutely no need for such things."

Talia asserted, her focus returned to the horizon as she sped off into the distance.

Leaving a dazed Canaan in a wonderful silence.

Unbeknownst to them, a deep powerful presence that had hid from their detection unveiled itself in the sky just as Talia had left.

He was a young man with an exceptionally handsome face. He had long, unblemished crimson hair that was tied together using a gold ribbon, and it reached all the way down to his back.

He was dressed in wine-red battle attire and his face contained seven parts arrogance and three parts nobility.

His name was Runaan. He was the nephew of the current Lord of the blood wraiths. Among the current generation he was the absolute best in strength, wisdom and talent.

Should the abnormality called Talia Arzul had not existed he would have been the obvious heir to the throne

Unfortunately his handsome face had been completely distorted by rage as he suddnely slapped the youth trailing servilly behind hm. In a low voice he hissed: "Useless!"

Runan's slap was a direct and forceful hit as it sent the youth sprawling across the floor. The youth had already rose from the fround and scrambled back to his feet.

His left cheek began to swell. He hurriedly clutched Runaan's feet in a display of humilty and fearfully spoke: " I…I definitely murdered all of her potential consorts so she would remain pure for my lord. I evenly secretly poisoned all of the other males Lord Kaldur had found for her. I even prepared to infect her with the aphrodaisic you gave me so that my lord could take her. That slave who popped out of god knows where..he is the one to blame for this…."

Had any of the servants in Talia's residence or Talia herself seen this display, they would have fallen into disbelief.

Because the youth pathetically grovelling at the feet of another in allegiance was actually Talia supposed consort: Ralfor!!

"Hmph!" Runan's's eyebrows tightened and his face distorted even more. "I used immeasurable resources to get you planted by her side as a consort, and you only had but one job!! Yet you vile, useless thing!! You couldn't do even that!!"

"My lord, her new pet is just some weak useless mortal. You certainly have a myriad ways to make him die a horrible death! Why dont we simply take him and kill him in the cruelest way possible to alleviate all the hatred in my lord's heart…."

"If it was really that simple, don't you not think any one of Talia's countless admirers would have taken action to get rid of him already?!" Runan coldly interrupted Ralfor and continued:

"Yes her new mortal pet is a weakling who is very easy to kill, however have you forgotten who his master is?

She is Talia Arzul, the most talented Blood wraith to be born in Millenia. She enjoys the grandest protection our race has to offer, and has a status no one can match.

Who she wishes to protect, how can one possibly harm?"

While speaking, Runan clenched his fists tightly. The sounds of bones being dislocated popped in the air.

The first time he saw Talia, he thought that he encountered an angel and was already deeply entranced by her. From then on, he swore to make her his woman in this lifetime.

But Talia, the woman of his dreams was actually pressed under a powerless waste and ravished! How could he ever willingly accept that!

"My lord, in fact… in fact you do not need to worry that much. I believe the rumours of them sleeping together are something those envious of the princess crafted to ruin her reputation."

Ralfor glanced at Runan's facial expression and carefully spoke: "Think about it My lord, with Talia's temperament that never even bothered to glance at any of the heores of these lands, would she even developed any attacent to a mortal waste whose only redeeming quality is his appearance!? She probably only keeps him as a decorative pet.

Even if they do sleep together I believe it is impossible for him to even touch the fringes of her clothes…. Rather the great wrath assmebly is tomorrow. Once the princess sees My lords capabilities and virtue how could she not fall for you…."

Listening to Ralfor's words, Runan's gloomy scowl began to smooth out while his narrow eyes relaxed. He touched the tip of his nose with his finger in a narcissistic display of self worship and whispered darkly: "You made a pretty reasonable point…For your sake I hope it is as you've said. As for that waste...I will certainly show him what a true hell is.

TALIA IS MINE!

WHAT IS MINE, NO ONE CAN TOUCH!!!"

Withdraw" Runan commanded as his voice finally took on a semblance of calm.

Ralfor sighed with relief as if he had been pardoned from an unmentionable crime. Then with a respectful bow, he disappeared into the dark.

Even after a while Runan did not leave, rather a unique golden token with a powerful symbol engraved in it appeared in his palm

This was a piece of an extremely rare and unique transmission token.

With the insertion of Runan's devil energy, the black gold sound transmission token glowed, and the sound transmission devil formation hidden within began to quickly rotate.

"Young Sea king, how have you been? Do you still remember this young lord?" Runan narrowed his eyelids, and softly spoke to the sound transmission jade.

"Lord Runan? Now this sure is rare. Im quite curious about what you wish to discuss with this young King?" A proud voice flowed out of the token.

"That's right." Runan slowly said. "This young lord wishes to make a trade with the young Sea King. I believe Young sea King my lord will definitely be interested in this trade."

"Oh? Go on." The voice replied.

"Haha, I heard that the young sea king has been looking for a human who possesses the 'Nihilty physique' to complete the inheritance of your powers, in these recent years.

And a mystical existence like that, this young lord has actually encountered one, and he is actually a mere slave that has been sold into our house! I wonder if the Young King is interested?"

"What?" The voice which was initially calm instantly became hurried and frantic, and then, his voice once again sank. "This young Sea King naturally will not suspect Lord Runan's 's words. But it is common knowledge that the humans were completely hunted into extinction, if one really has been found, why isn't Lord Runan using it for himself, or presenting it to the lord of your house?"

"I do require something of the slave, but not a part of its body. As for its flesh, blood and marrow, I can present it to the young Sea king.

Should I turn this gem over to the masyer of my house, my meritorious deed with be treated as something i should already have done and the rewards i would recieve would be meager at best.

If it is the young Sea King though, I trust that your payments would be worthwhile.."

The voice suddenly laughed uproariously.

"Hahahahaha! Lord Runan sure is worthy of respect. This young King likes to talk with intelligent people. . Whatever rewards you desire, please feel free to express them. If it's indeed a real human, it will never be too much."

"As I thought, the Young Kings heroic bearing is truly impressive." Runan laughed. "I only want one thing… Ten thousand grams of celestial moon pearls."

The voice was silent before answering. "... Ten thousand grams. This request of your's...."

"Hahahaha, to the young King, I believe obtaining Ten thousand grams of Celestial moon pearls Crystals isn't really a hard at all. And, when comparing the value of a human to Celestial moon pearls, it basically isn't worth mentioning at all.

"After all, once you've assimilated his organs and devoured his flesh and blood you will quickly rise to a power house unlike any other..."

"Fine!" The voice announced. "Within three hours this young King will personally prepare a Ten thousand grams of Celestial moon pearls. I hope when that time comes, Lord Runan will definitely not disappoint me."

"Young King please be at ease, unless I were a death seeking fool, I would definitely not dare to decieve you in the slightest. Then, this Young lord will quietly wait for your good news…"

The light in the sound transmission token vanished and Runaan immediately let out an evil smile.

"At the very least I have been granted this Exquisite opportunity by the heavens. It seems even they are desperate for my rise. Hahahahaha" He said he devolved into a round of mad laughter.
