A strange service

"Its ya guuuuurl TeachBeach, bringing you the hottest new knowledge right in front of your screen."

The greeting caused Moros to feel a chill crawl up his spine. Seeing his friend jumping up and down, moving left and right like a squirrel on drugs was a sight he would ever be able to get used to.

"My dear students, this stream might come as a surprise to you…but, I have snuck into the Terra family dungeon and will show you the new rumoured goblins that live here"

Moros was thankful for the free advertisement, but he also was afraid that the dungeon itself had not much to offer. Any mystery would be destroyed if she just ran through everything and casually killed everything in one shot:

Watching his best friend wobble her head around as she replied to chats and questions caused Moros to simply respect her commitment to the cause.

The words she spoke, the sounds that she made, the weird gestures…nothing made sense to him anyhow. It was like he was thrown into a different world. Whatever happened in front of him was just not something that seemed like humans had come up.

A loud chirping noise resounded…

" Gib-feet donated 10 monster cores…Please step on a Balla, mistress…"

A loud robotic voice narrated the money she got and the request that the money giving weirdo asked for in return.

Moros just wondered why people were willing to pay good money for such a sight, he would do stuff like that. Were people single enough to ask a streamer to just step on a creature, just so they could see a bit of thighs and feet?

"Of course, my loyal fans do deserve some quality lessons about the ana-to-my of Ballas, right?"

Saying so, she elegantly walked towards the next Balla and put her bare feet on top of it. The following explosion of a monster was accompanied by a sweet and subtle moan…acting as the whole act was pleasant.

Organs spread around and Malissa seemed happy at the result.

Moros had watched the entire act with great interest. This was not due to him suddenly being into the idea nor because he wondered what he was doing…no, he saw that this was a market he had not tapped into before.

By learning how the pros were doing it, he could in return explore this avenue too and earn more money in the process. If people were that desperate and into the idea of stomping on monsters than Moros would help this poor souls…for a certain price.

" Gib-feet donated 10 monster cores…All praise the holy feet! Praise the Holy feet. Praise the holy feet!"

The metallic voice caused a big smile to appear on Malissa's face…and Moros was even more intrigued. So, it was not just a one time donation, but one could also be rewarded for a stellar performance.

There was indeed so much he still had to learn and he was thankful for being shown a brand new world.

He could not have asked for a better dressed teacher. Though Moros wondered why she had chosen her outfit for this occasion.

Perhaps more was better than less in this scenario. The illusion of what lay beneath was better than the confirmation? Or maybe she had tried out different outfits and chosen this that best aligns with the interest of her donors?

Moros pondered for a bit, the dynamic between audience and its paying members needed to be sustainable. He just noticed that she gave some service for free for members that had been there for a long time.

At least, those she knew by name…these included saying their name, answering their questions, even giving a little dance to boot. She wrote their name with fire and laughed at their terrible jokes.

To him she came across as more of a mother figure, gently scolding her kids not to throw themselves down the cliff, because that might hurt.

Except for the feet guy, that fella had a lovely time for other reasons.

Moros might not understand the appeal, but life was short hence he respected those that lived by their ideals and desires. It was a refreshing alternative to people just desiring power and fame.

Malissa did not seem to mind it, she had a wide smile on her face, even if people donated to ask her to put her bare feet in front of the camera, "to lick all that juicy sweat"

Whether 'Gib-feet' found a long lost brother in 'feet-smella' remained to be seen.

He certainly would have loved to ask the two why they were the way they were, but they paid good money….that was only something great humans would do.

Others would simply travel to a lower world and make some slaves or force other people to do their bidding. Paying someone to show feet was peak human manners and character.

The simple fact that the object of desire were feet covered in monster blood did not change that…it simply made them weirdos.

TeachBeach and her weirdos continued to banter, exchanging words and random insults. As a result Malissa ended up laughing way too hard, prompting her teacher aura to slip for a second.

The true Malissa shined through, the one that laughed at Moros joke, the one, who people liked to talk and chat with. He could see, she was not doing this for the money, she genuinely liked streaming in front of people.

Moros was happy that she was happy, he would be happier if he would get some money out of this.

They were friends, yes, but money knows no friends. How could it ever, it was monster cores and dead things usually do not have friends.

Speaking of things that have no friends, Malissa was preparing the next big thing for her viewers, he saw it in her eyes. Whenever she had an idea that she loved, her eyes always had that spark.

With a wave of her fingers, orange flames erupted dancing in the air, filling the ugly dungeon in a warm and gleaming light. Creatures of all kinds danced in the air, birds of fire flew, flamed foxes jumped around and mayflies sizzled in the air.

It was a scene of utmost beauty, the world presented through magic, amplified in ethereal harmony of the 5 senses.

"Today we are here to learn about the Gobbla"

The figure of the Gobbla appeared in the air, it was a lifelike recreation envisioned through flames. The Gobbla looked indeed like any other goblin, so Moros did not know why people dropped so many monster core donations with sounds like "OOOOW", "Look at the melons", "Look how they bounce"

Moros could not shake his doubt that they were not interested in the monster itself, but unlike the feet guys, it was harder to guess their likes and wants.

"Don't forget to press the love button and rate this stream 5 out of 5 circles. Hammer that stalker button to know when I am live again"

Malissa explained in a cheery manner that seemed totally out of place being surrounded by a filthy goblin.

After a short pause she spoke up again and began the true purpose of this event.

"Let us talk about the Gobbla, the newfound monster type that has not been spotted anywhere else. Gobblas do look like goblins, the common kind…however they certainly are not one"

Moros had expected some kind of turbulent actions and yet, instead, he was again bombarded with knowledge he never did ask for.

The donations had stopped too, it was likely that they shared his sentiment. There was nothing to learn about these things, they were just Ballas that formed up a goblin.

That was the whole secret.

Malissa on the other hand continued to explain about this very simple concept with an enthusiasm that made Moros wonder why exactly she was so excited about a simple monster.

"It is not known as to why these monsters had appeared here. But, the experts of dungeon exploration think there is a leak, from somewhere, no one has ever found, these monsters have appeared."

Moros attention was raised yet again, by thoughts and perspectives he had not considered prior.

To him it would just have been the act of the god or the flying dollar bill or the wolf. Someone of those would have certainly loved to piss him off by messing with his home in such a way.

"But TeachBeach is here to explore that mystery and find that secret location. You guys will witness history as we search through the entire dungeon without being caught by the Terra family"

Malissa gave Moros a knowing grin, to which he merely lifted his middle finger again.

He swore to slap a cleaning fee atop his cut of the pay, since his childhood friend just left behind a trail of destruction wherever she went to make her show.

The figure of the Gobbla was conjured and made to move around showing its strategy and pattern of fighting. Moros wondered why exactly it was following the striking style he had taught to his goblin melee test subjects?

Yet, Malissa with the biggest grin on her face began to glow up in excitement as she made an announcement.

"Ladies and gentleman, prepare for a wild right…We are going in!"
