Oh brother
During the past week, Maddie was reading through documents and organizing Elijah's schedule. When they go home, she would read some off the books Elijah left in her room. She was very proficient whenever she focused on something. Just like when she learned to fight, she learned quickly because she always gave 100% in anything she did. Elijah noticed how focused and determined Maddie was, so he never disturbed her in her work, and during their morning training, he didn't tease her. Even though it was very tempting to kiss her every day. He was even surprised that she figured out a way to escape every time he pinned her to the ground.
Maddie was feeling very proud of herself because Elijah never punished her so she knew she was doing a good job. She has even readjusted her own schedule in the villa so that she has time for a morning jog and get some practice before she does training with Elijah. She adjusted very quickly and enjoyed working and training with Elijah.
It was already Sunday and Elijah's younger brother Aiden was coming to visit from abroad. He takes care of the minor branches of the company. "Master, shall I send a car to pick up your brother at the airport?" Maddie asked as she was going through the schedule. "No need, he is a grown man. He can get here on his own." Elijah liked to joke with his brother. He always thought Aiden was too much of a jolly person and a jokester. This annoyed him very much when they were young and he would always be a victim of his younger brother's pranks. But it was a good thing because Elijah always got his revenge. Despite all that the two brothers have a harmonious relationship.
Aiden arrived at noon and had a sour mood on his face. "Big brother, why didn't you pick up your precious little brother from the airport. I've waited a few hours before I realized you're not coming." With an indifferent expression, Elijah said: "I've been busy". Maddie walked in to call the two brothers for lunch. Aiden was still feeling dejected when he suddenly heard the voice of a sweet angel and turned his head to the source. He saw a woman wearing an office suit with her hair in a bun and glasses. Even though her face was being covered by her glasses he can still tell that she was very beautiful. Before he knew it he was already in front of Maddie introducing himself. "Hi I'm Aiden, and who would this beautiful lady be?" He grabbed Maddie's hand and gave it a kiss. "My name is Maddie and I'm Elijah's personal assistant. It's nice to finally meet you young master Aiden." Maddie said seriously not really minding Aiden's surprised reaction.
"Just call him Aiden. You only serve one master." Elijah was getting mad at his brother because he is the only one allowed to touch and kiss his wife. Elijah gave a glare to Aiden like you better not touch what is mine and walked off to the dining room. Aiden felt a chill go up to his spine but understood well what his brother meant. Aiden was very curious about how this little girl got his big brother's attention. He knew very well that no woman has caught his brother's eye no matter how much they threw themselves at him.
Lunch was going well but it immediately ended up as an interview where Aiden kept asking Maddie many questions about her. Maddie notices that Elijah was just sitting there listening like it was very interesting learning things about her. "Master if you wanted to know more about me, why didn't you just ask me personally. You didn't need to bring your brother here to ask for you." Elijah was amused by how perceptive she was about his intentions. Aiden was speechless by her straightforwardness. He never met anyone that would speak their mind in front of his brother. "I was hoping to stay here for a few months since the business is doing fine abroad. I'd like to spend more time with my big brother I've missed him and it been a long time since I've been home." Aiden said trying to break the silence in the room. Both Elijah and Maddie looked at him. "I don't have any rooms available in my house go stay with our parents," Elijah said rejecting him immediately. "I don't like, our mother will just be pestering me everyday about finding a wife. You know how badly she wants grandchildren. Especially that old man he might just sell me off to some random socialite. I'm too young to be sacrificed." Aiden tried to plea with him. "Better you than me," Elijah said. Aiden started to panic and had a brilliant idea and looked straight at Maddie and smiled. "Why don't you just give me Maddie's room and you two can share," Aiden said mischievously. "Okay," Elijah said plainly like it wasn't a big deal, then stood up and left. Maddie wanted to refute, but it was already too late. Elijah already agreed so all she can do is give Aiden a death glare.
"Hey don't look at me like that future sister-in-law," Aiden said as he left with a wide smile on his face. "Oh, you're going to regret this," Maddie shouted pissed at Aiden. Only Maddie was left remaining at the table, so she called a maid to clean up, then she went to look for head butler Ben. "Uncle Ben I need your help to move my things." Head butler Ben was surprised, why did Maddie need to move her things. "Where would you like me to move your things, young miss?" "Just next door to masters bedroom. Aiden will be moving into my room." Maddie said hesitantly. Head butler Ben was confused there were other guest rooms in the house, but soon realized it was the two brothers scheming. "I send my regards to you young miss. I shall move your things right away." Maddie knew she was doomed when she heard what head butler Ben said. Head butler Ben was actually happy because this way his eldest master will get closer to Maddie. Everyone in the household was hoping that they would end up together. They were all quite fond of Maddie ever since she moved in. And they all knew the eldest master was very fond of this girl.
