Chapter twenty four
It's been an hour since Kara ran off... Pardon, flew off somewhere, after they went in the pretty much destructed DEO base, an hour since they found out Corey took all of the Ms Blakes files. An hour since Lena has been searching for super in the town. The named Luthor was pretty much worried, Before Kara flew off she was angry, super angry....
Finally Lena found her at the fortress of solitude, using a portal. Danvers was frustratingly pacing, panicking, her brows furrowed, her eyes full of rage, she was in civilians clothes which could not have been a good sign Lena thought. Kara started to search something in database, but by the look in her eyes Lena thought she didn't find anything. Suddenly Super's eyes glowed red and her laser nearly exploded the frozen sculpture head of superman's dad. Luthor went to her cautiously and slowly, she placed her hands on her shoulders and said
"I don't think if superman would like that"Kara yelped in surprise, jumping slightly on the place. Lena chuckled "You know I had been searching for you" Fingers stiffened on Kara's shoulders, if she wasn't a human she would probably feel deep pain. Kara gulped
"Lee...?" Lena shook her head and made her grip stronger, she shut her eyes and screamed
"You know I HAD BEEN WORRYING ABOUT YOU" Kara gulped, her hands in the air
"I needed time to c-" but Luthor made her stop
"TO COOL OFF? WELL WHEN PEOPLE COOL OFF THEY DONT USUALY FLY AWAY FROM REALLY TALL BUILDING IN A SPLIT SECOND TURNING ALL HER TRACKING AND TALKING DEVICES OFF" Kara was doomed she knew that, her eyes narrowed And her hands waved in the air
"But Corey-"
"ABOUT HIM! IM GONNA FIND HIM AND PUNCH THAT BASTARD IN THE EGGS"You thought you have seen angry Luthor?Well, This was her and she was freaking scary. First, Guy with eye patch destroyed the half of DEO, second, he took all of their files on Alyssa, making them lower on their investigation, And last but not least, that bastard Winn called Kara because of that guy, in the middle of their moment, Lena blushed so hard at the thought of that stupid you didn't have a moment she thought. But still, they messed up the best moment of the day after her bloody hardwork on that date it wasn't a date the voice in her head didn't leave. Kara placed her hands on Lena's, slowly smiling at her.Luthor took a deep breath, in and out"I'm fine...I'm totally fine" she closed her eyes "but I'm still gonna punch his stupid eye-patched face" Kara nodded her head
"Get in the line first" after they both cooled off, They started searching for everything that could help, they checked security footages of DEO, Asked people what happened, how it happened, then checked the files what have been missing, and turns out not only Alyssa's has been missing, but the different Aliens files from different places.
Luthor suggested to go to noonan's to eat and think rationally. Of course Kara being Kara couldn't reject potstickers, so they went. Lena ordered black normal coffee and kale, when Kara ordered potstickers.They sat down the table facing the window, took out some files and started talking about the case, there were many holes, like how did Corey know they were out of city? Or why did he need Alyssa's files? Did they miss something? And as they were cracking their heads, Kara spoke up
"Oh isn't this Diego?" She pointed her finger at the window, Lena turned and saw Diego with some guy at the bench outsideDanvers stood up and made her way to the door, But Lena grabbed her arm to stop "Lee what are you doing?"
"Let's wait before the guy leaves, they seem in deep conversation" so they waited. After 10 minutes the mystery guy left and they went outside. Super waved at him, and he waved back. Kara also noticed that he wasn't wearing a ring.They went on the walk in park, talking about science and friendly things. Suddenly Kara spoke up
"I cant believe Sarah didn't go to Harvard because of you silly" She chuckled softlyDiego faced her, sad smile on his face
"Yeah I cant believe either" he said.
"I guess people do stupid things when they are in love" Kara smiled.
After they finished talking, Diego's phone rang, he excused himself and said he had to go. Luthor and Super went by their routes too.____________________________________________At the evening, Lena knocked at Danvers apartment door, something was bugging her since that day Diego came in to talk,She knew Kara would think of herself as crazy, but she had to tell her, there were many holes to the story which had to be filled, and despite her best friends reaction she had to tell her. She softly knocked on the door, waiting, then she heard lock turning, and Danvers opened the door, she was in her pjs already. Lena sighed
"Kara, we have to talk" Super furrowed her brows, and looked at Lena worriedly, Then nodded her head, let Luthor inside and closed the door_________________\\•_•//____________________Sarah woke up, someone was knocking on the door, she sighed and checked the timeIt was 3 in the morning, who would want to see her at such time? She sighed and got to the door, not expecting to see police standing there, with Lena Luthor?And Kara? She looked at them confused,She could see sadness and regret on Kara's face, the blonde had her head down, not having the courage to look her into the eyes. They heard the footsteps approaching and Diego showed up, as confused as Sarah
"Kara what happened?" But the named blonde didn't look up, she closed her eyes and ignored the question. Instead police officer spoke up
"Mr. Doss" police went in the house "you are arrested on suspicion of kidnapping Alyssa Blake" they handcuffed confused Diego "you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court-" police continued long speech arresting Diego
"What? What suspicion? Kidnapping?" Sarah screamed "Kara? Kara! Do something, you know he's innocent!" Kara couldn't keep herself anymore, she went to the woman and hugged her, Sarah started sobbing "he's innocent!" Lena watched as Diego went in the car, her eyes full of sadness.
they watched as the car drove off, and watched until it disappeared out of sightWith their precious friend inside.
