Isabella Martini - POV
"When I first found out you were my mate, I never expected that you would come with this many problems." he bluntly said, making me wince. "I am still mad at you for lying to me about everything, Bella. Especially why you came to my pack in the first place. You have not only put yourself in trouble, but my pack as well." his words were harsh, and this made me look away.
"I…I am sorry, Arlo. I didn't know whom to trust. I was afraid if you knew this before, you would have sent me back to Gael." I mumbled and for a long time, I didn't hear from him, when I felt his finger under my chin as he lifted it up.
"I would have just sent you with Gael. But the mate bond has grown a lot stronger, and I just couldn't let him take you away from me," he answered, and I saw the sincerity in his eyes. "But I only need to know one thing," he said, and I nodded my head. "Did you kill your own sister?"
