Chapter 9

How many times do I need to press again? She thought as she looked at her alrm clock. It was ringing and it was time to get up. She went her usual way to school. Chloe was already in the classroom and greeted her.

"Did you manage to finish doing your skill?" She asked.

"Not quite," she replied. "I was praticing that afternoon and I felt sleepy, so I went to bed. What about you? What did you do yesterday?"

"I put my box outside, because it didn't have room in my place anymore."

"So where did you put it?"

"On a shelf in the living room. There was someone there, when I went outside," she said. "I think he came in quite late, that's why he stayed there a little."

"Didn't he say anything to you?"

"He only said "Hi"," she said. "I don't think he said a lot."

"That's true. He probably was busy. That's why."

"Yes, he was looking through some books on the table."

"Was he looking for a particular book?"

"No, I think he was just looking," she replied.

"Oh, I see," she said. "He might be trying to find a book to read."

"Yes, it might be what he was doing."

"What are you talking about?" Dani abruptly interrupted.

"We were only talking about someone that wanted to find a book," she said.

"Is it a particular one?" He asked.

"No, he was just rumaging through some stuff on the table. He came in quite late," Stella said.

"Shouldn't he be sleeping, if it's late?"

"I haven't thought about that," she replied. "Maybe he was just rumaging to find a suitable book to read."

"I doubt that, but let's just leave it for now," Dani said.

"Text me, if there's something that you want to tell me about," Chloe said.

"Okay, I will," she replied quietly. Later that day they went to the cafeteria together and had lunch. "Did any of you see Ian?"

"He went to the library for work," she said. "He has to finish typing his article. He came in the morning and left."

"Oh, then he won't come for lunch?"

"No, his article needs to be given in by friday."

"I see."

"Hey, I need to go," Dani stood up quietly and headed for the door.

"Where are you going?" Stella asked.

"I'm going to find him so that I can talk to him for a moment."

"About what?"

"Some personal issues. Don't worry, I won't take too long," he said assuringly. "I need to ask him if he also wants to go to the cinema with me."

"What are you going to watch?"

"It's called "The bright light on my way". I think it's in the cinemas right now."

"Sounds good," she said.

"It's an action movie," he said. "I'll see you later."

"Goodbye."

"Goodbye."

"That was quick," Chloe said. "It sounds like he just came up with the idea and went."

"I doubt it," Stella said. "Maybe he just wanted to watch the movie with someone."
