Rewards from the System

Sitting within one of the rooms within the Palace of one of the former Triarchs, Maximus was looking at the rewards he just got from conquering the region which included some very interesting things.

[Conquered Selhorys completed]

Rewards: 30k System points

-200 Mûmakil (Mûmakil are large creatures resembling elephants, they are thick-skinned and are mostly invulnerable to arrows; their eyes were vulnerable, however, and they could be blinded or even killed by arrows that are released with great force. When blinded they go into a rage of pain, often destroying masters and foes alike in their rampages.)

[Conquer Valysar completed]

Rewards: 30k System points

-500 Black Guard of Naggarond (The Black Guard, formally the Black Guard of Naggarond, are the elite personal honor guard of the Witch King Malekith, ruler of Naggaroth, based in the Dark Elves' capital city of Naggarond in the Warhammer Verse who will answer to no one but Maximus.)

[Conquer Volon Therys completed]

Rewards: 30k System points

-100 Black Wings (The Black Wings, also referred to as Nazgûl-birds, hell-hawks, and "fellbeasts", were the winged creatures of Mordor ridden by the Nazgûl and are able to fly at immense speeds. Though they were bird-like in form, they were much bigger and more monstrous than any true bird and had some reptilian features.)

[Conquer Volantis]

-1x Powerful Character Summon

There were no words that could explain the expression on Maximus's face at this moment. In fact, he was glad that he was within the room by himself or one of his guards would have thought that he was going crazy or something.

In total he gained 150k system points from all the quests he completed, as well as numerous powerful new soldiers. But first thing first, he focused on the Powerful Character Summon first before he looked at the other stuff.

Clicking the summon button, a light enveloped the room lasting for a few seconds before it disappeared, revealing the new summon standing in front of Maximus.

"My lord, I am Merlin, your loyal servant from now on until the end of my life." stated Merlin as she knelt on one knee showing respect to Maximus. Hearing who it was he summoned; Maximus was very intrigued indeed. Merlin, the legendary sorcerer from Arthurian legend, was now kneeling before him as a loyal servant.

"Rise, Merlin," Maximus commanded, "I will require your magic and counsel in the upcoming times."

"My lord," Merlin said, rising gracefully, "I will stand by your side and provide as much counsel as I can on any matter you require assistance in."

"Good, I'll appoint you as my personal assistant then, and formerly give you a position sometime in the future." explained Maximus.

Merlin nodded, accepting her role with great enthusiasm. She was in a brand-new world and was ready to face any challenge that may come up while ensuring her Lord's safety.

"For now, I have more soldiers to summon, so follow me." Maximus ordered walking towards the door. Grabbing the door handle, he swung the door open causing the Imperial Guards outside to snap to attention.

"She's with me," Maximus said referring to Merlin as she followed behind him. Not questioning this mysterious person, they followed Maximus escorting him until he got to the entrance. Walking out of the Palace, a few more Imperial Guards joined his escort.

Outside, it was around noon and the streets of Volantis were busy with people walking around and trying to go about their daily activities despite the recent war. Even though they were now ruled by a new power, the people still needed to feed themselves and make money.

The old Volantis currency was still being used, until the Imperial Bank gets established within the city which is going to take a few months. So, to mediate this issue, people and merchants were allowed to continue using their old currency for the next 5 years, after that the old currency of Volantis would no longer be accepted.

Just outside of the Palace was carrage that Maximus used to move around the city since it would be too much to always fly, especially when where he wanted to go wasn't that far. Boarding the carriage, he proceeded to one of the gathering places that was used by the Tigers when they were preparing for war.

The area was big enough to summon all the soldiers and creatures that he just got rewarded with from the system. The trip took about 20 minutes as they had to navigate the traffic of Volantis, which was a lot due to the massive reforms which were constantly being introduced.

Exiting the carriage, he walked to the opening which was out of public view and began to summon the other soldiers and creatures that he got from the system.

The first thing he summoned was the 200 Mûmakil. The sight of the massive beasts appearing from thin air was awe-inspiring, with many Imperial Guards gawking in utter disbelief. Each beast towered over all, stomping on the stone-covered ground with thunderous footsteps. Their long-curled tusks were a force to reckon with, enough to demolish any obstruction or enemy that dared to stand in their way.

Next came the Black Guard of Naggarond. 500 Dark Elves cloaked in menacing black armor appeared with some holding Spears in their hands and swords on their waist, others holding massive halberds with a sword on their waist. An aura of pure darkness enveloped them which could send shivers down one's spine.

Next were the 100 Black Wings. These large bird-like creatures were a terrifying sight with their ragged wings spread wide and eerie shrieks echoing around. With their intensely intimidating presence, Maximus could see them wreaking havoc on the battlefield once the fighting started.

Lastly, Maximus summoned the 5k Heavy Dwarven Infantry and the 10 Griffons. Stout and muscular figures armed with short swords and shields stepped forward. Despite their short stature, they were warriors who could contend against any foe with no problem at all.

As for Merlin, she watched these summons with wide-eyed astonishment but didn't comment on anything. T

After summoning everything, Maximus began to organize the new summons. The Dwarven Infantry were to establish a small camp right in this clearing, while the Mûmakil were directed to the outskirts of the city, where they would be less threatening to the populace. Instructions were given to their handlers to keep them disciplined and under control.

The Black Wings who obeyed Maximus's commands would be taken to where Nyxara rested where they would become a part of the Imperial Air forces. Riders would have to be trained and chosen carefully for these fellbeasts, as they would become the shock troops in the air, where speed and fear were their greatest weapons.

The Black Guard of Naggarond were stationed close to Maximus' personal quarters within the palace, serving as an additional force to his personal bodyguards. The Griffons were given freedom to fly around as Maximus was informed by the system that as long as they are adeqautely fed, they won't randomly eat people unless ordered to.

As orders were given and set into motion, the people watched in trepidation and awe as these new creatures roamed through their city. The sight of dragons flying overhead was already a terror, and now more dragon-like creatures were flying around. But seeing as how they weren't harming the people, their fears didn't stop them from still walking through the streets of Volantis.

With these new summons, he couldn't wait to use them in addition to his other forces during the battles that would take place in Slaver's Bay.
